Probably going to post an Avatar Last Airbender Video next. Maybe Agent Carter after that. Lots of Vin Diesel teasing going on too. Nothing confirmed yet ;)
It will be interesting to see how Varys' story is affected by his going to Essos. He'll be present in the show continuity while he wasn't in the novels.
SPOILERS I would love to see all that intrigue in the citadel, especially when Sam arrives. But I've been saying this since I finished the fifth book: all I want to see is that scene in the fighting pits of Meereen when Dany flies away mounted in Drogon... the image at 5:59.
***** This season should end at the wall like the books do imo, but think it will end in Meereen as last season ended with bran and the three eyed raven
The last and most striking last shot in episode 10 should be Jon's stabbing. It would be lame if they did it in episode 9 and just ignored the wall for another episode. Other than that, the meat of the episode could be Cersei's and Sam's story lines. Episode 9 could very well be the entire battle at Mereen. I mean, GRRM already revealed half of it in his readings and the outcome is pretty obvious, so it would be the least "spoilery" of the big events of book 4 and 5.
1. Ser Arthur Dayne "The Sword of the Morning" 2. Aemon Targaryen "The Dragonknight" or "The Knight of Tears" 3. Daemon Blackfyre 4. Ser Barristan Selmy "The Painter" 5. Khal Drogo Those are my opinions based on the books.
***** I don't know man Drogo might be up there. Did you see Bronn destroy that knight of the vale during Tyrion's trial? Or when Oberyn Martell outclassed The Mountain? Both unarmored vs high level fully armored knights. Plus Khal Drogo is an undefeated 6'6 250 pound murder machine.
I'm reading the books now, and it's making me so pumped for the next season! It's also helpful to get more insight on things they skipped in the show and/or changed.
I just find it amazing how well Martin writes so many details into his works. Many great authors have struggled in putting a lot of information down in an interesting and engaging way, and Martin has a way of making everything eloquent and gripping.
I jumped into this show late and once i finished season 4 i found your channel. I find these bonus video very helpful. Thank you. Your channel is definitely AWESOME!!
So hyped for season 5 I can't even deal. I always watch your videos the minute the episode is finished so I can get more background context on the mayhem I have just watched!
I really enjoy your videos! I appreciate the fact that you take the time to explain what is going on in the series for those that have not read the books (regrettably).
Marwyn is one of the most intriguing characters of the series right now. His knowledge, and the company he has kept, makes his journey something I am really keeping my eye on.
You have the best RUclips channel of all time!! I don't have cable so i Chromecast your videos in my living room while I eat dinner lol cheers brotha! And holy crap I'm so excited for your qyburn video!!!! THE MOUNTAIN!!!!
This guy is awesome. Who need's to read the books when you have charlie telling you basically everything you need to know. Keep up the good work and keep the information flowing :D
If Charlie walked through a wardrobe and ended up in Westeros, he'd be fully qualified to teach Westeros history at the Citidel. He'd end every class high fiving his students as they left.
Another great video Charlie. I think a future video of the greatest warriors of the show so far would be terrific. Who would you want to be your champion in Trial by Combat? Would be a great video to see for sure
Charlie, have you ever thought about turning your bonus videos into podcasts? Sometimes I'd like to catch up on your uploads on the go and I think a weekly podcast would work really well. And as always, great video!
I love watching your videos and am glad you decided to make this your full-time gig! Makes me wish I could just watch TV/Movies and playing games as my job haha!
Tbh there's very little for her to do this season anyway (from the books), but I think they may get Gendry to reappear in Braavos and then they do more meaningful stuff together. Also Tyrion and Varys' storyline maybe altered towards Braavos since a certain young character is supposed to have been cut from the show, and so it's like they maybe pushing for her to be in the show more (which I'm happy with, since she's great).
i havent read the books yet, but i enjoying ur videos after just completing the series. Im excited to see whats next in the series, and especially the war scenes. Thanks for the videos mate Melbourne, Australia :)
I just finished book 3 and I gotta say what Samwell did to influence the election of the next Lord commander was awesome. Enough to say it might be my favorite part of the book. I hope we'll get to see it during season 5 !
Can you do a video on unexplained things or plots from the 4 past seasons Like who actually plotted the attempted murder on Bran Stark? Why did Lord Baelish order to kill Jon Arryn? Where did the dragon eggs come from and who gave them to Daenerys? Unexplained stuff lke that.
Joffrey plotted the murder, Petyr had Lysa poison Jon Arryn so that he could marry her and become Lord of the Vale, and the dragon eggs were given to Daenerys by Illyrio Mopatis as a wedding gift.
It's canon that Joffrey was the one that sent the assassin to Bran's room. He did out of a misguided attempt to win his supposed father's attention. Not long after Bran was pushed out of a window by Jaime, Robert got really drunk and said something along the lines of "We put down blind dogs and lame horses, why not give him the same mercy." Please read the books before you make a comment like that.
***** Yes Petyr loves Cat, not Lysa - but he knows Lysa is infatuated with him since they were all teenagers. She was easy to manipulate because she loves him. She recommended him in job openings like Master of Coin to get Petyr to where he is now in terms of status. Jon Arryn learned the truth of Cersei's kids' real father; revealing that would have ruined the peace and Petyr's life in Kings Landing. So he pushed Lysa into poisoning Jon. As time went on Petyr gained the right title as Master of Harrenhall to be eligible to marry such a highborn lady like the widow Lysa which gave him even more power. That's the thing with Petyr, he can plan strategies that won't pay off for years, but in the short term can manipulate others for the long term plan that ultimately benefits only Petyr.
I think Qyburn has been named many thing since his introduction especially in the books in particular the friendship that he and Cersei develop but I never thought id hear just Oddball or "He's spo much fun" used to describe that stranger danger before
These chains--If you only have a few links, they don't force you to wear a stranglingly tight chain, do they? What do they do, stretch it out with otherwise useless jeweler's brass or something?
To graduate as a maester I believe you need more than eight links and endorsement from the conclave. Also the chains can be worn on a strap or attached to a normal chain. I imagine an apprentice maester would wear the chains dangling from a belt or like bracelets. Archmaester Marwynd also has a Valyrian steel ring and rod.
I just discovered your site today (New Year's Day) and have been watching it ever since. Keep up the good work. Guess whose channel I was on when the New Year came in? Are there still book giveaways?
Great video Charlie, good mix of current and ancient events, all relevant. Happy New Year thanks for all your great work this year. It was your videos turned me into a devoted YouTubber in 2014.
I've been refreshing myself on the series and received one of the books for Christmas. So thankful for the spoiler warnings XD I've only been reading for 4 days but I'm near the end of book one
Here hoping I'm a winner, but that's not what's important. Keep up the great job dude, as a show- primary based knowledgeable fan, I really enjoy watching the videos you make.
I'm a subscriber, and I just left a comment on this video :).. It would be awesome if u make a very long book review videos, winds of winter is coming and most of us had totally forgot what were the major events that happened.
Hey Charlie love your videos man they really help me to understand the GOT world much better!! Could you do a video about the city of Bravos ? This place seems to be so interesting!!
Love these types of videos Charlie. One thing though - you seem to say "when ever" a lot. I think in most of the instances you use it, "when" would have been correct.
Could you please talk more about the history of Essos? I really appreciated your videos about Westeros and the Targaryen conquest. Maybe something similar?
I'd love to hear about your thoughts of The World of Ice and Fire and how reliable the information in it is, since it is written kinda like a story from a Maester's perspective.
One of the principal themes in the novels is the revival of the power of magic as Dany and her dragons near Westeros. This has been realized to some extent in the HBO series, but I do hope that this season will take up the theme more explicitly. It is a very powerful idea.
I think the show will eventually go to Oldtown, not sure how they could pass it up. Would be a great way to show more of the world and include more storylines. I also can't wait to find out more information on Marwyn the Mage, I've always been really interested in him.
I totally love your videos and especially the game of thrones stuff. I'd really like to see a video about the warg abilety that some of the wildlings and the Stark kids have with their wolf dreams. How did this ability emerge? And is ut common in westeros or just inthe north and beyond the wall :)
The Citadel would be awesome to see. I hope they don't cut out Sam's part involving it though. He has a lot of potential to become a pretty awesome person down the line.
I think we are going to see the citadel during season 6, but hopefully we'll see a glimpse of it this season. You should do a video explaining the context of Westeros before Aegon s landing, and talk about the history of each of the seven kingdoms. As you said, a lot of people dont know that most of the big houses of Westeros ruled as Kings.
I think we need the new book Winds of Winter published first for the show producers to add in the citadel. Right now even in the books, there is not much story or drama written that happened within the citadel except in relation to the character from the north.
there have been quite a few important characters in the show that are maesters - the maesters are relatively well represented show-wise - so they've laid down the background work to get non book reader prepared. Actually I really like Charlie's 'dragon at the citadel' fantasy.
The two main producers are aware of everything from how the series ends to each individual storyline that he will write about in the next few books. They know everything, the books don't really need to be released for them to craft the upcoming storyline of the show.
1:06 Uther? Is that a commonly seen name in titles such as ASOIF/Warcraft or do they have characters with the same names because they took from eachother?
Spoiler! I'm convinced that Jaqen H'ghar was the guy that killed Pate. He was trying to get into the Citadel for some reason so he stole Pate's identity.
could you do a section on the ironborn? particularly the characters that I was hoping to see in season 5, that to my knowledge haven't been cast and look set to be cut out of the show completely, Crow's Eye, Victarion and Damphair. They all play a pretty big part in A Feast for Crows, and I'm wondering whether you think this storyline will be included at all. Without it, I imagine that the show will have pretty much caught up with the books by the end of season 5, and that is a situation I imagine most book readers would rather not see.
Probably going to post an Avatar Last Airbender Video next. Maybe Agent Carter after that. Lots of Vin Diesel teasing going on too. Nothing confirmed yet ;)
***** I have watched the entire series many times. I just haven't done videos for episodes before.
***** Q and A ask do Game Of Thrones have nine tailed fox?
Yay! I've been waiting for the Avatar: The Last Airbender video! Can't wait!
Star Wars rebels just released a clip of yoda returning and original voice by Frank OZ
It will be interesting to see how Varys' story is affected by his going to Essos. He'll be present in the show continuity while he wasn't in the novels.
SPOILERS

What about the epilogue, that was kinda cool imo.
the Griffin Roost stuff should end the season or if they cut it in to 2 seasons the dragon tamer stuff should end this season
Houssine MRABET The season will end with Dany or something related to fire, since season 4 ended with Arya (Starks, north, ice)
Please do like a Top 5 list of the greatest warriors in Game of Thrones universe history.
He already did, i think.
1. Ser Arthur Dayne "The Sword of the Morning"
2. Aemon Targaryen "The Dragonknight" or "The Knight of Tears"
3. Daemon Blackfyre
4. Ser Barristan Selmy "The Painter"
5. Khal Drogo
Those are my opinions based on the books.
5. King Tommen
4. Bran Stark
3. The Straw Knight
2. Sam the Slayer
1. Ser Pounce
ClippersNBAChampions2015 Joking aside I think Bran being able to warg a dragon (in all likelihood) might actually make him #1.

These videos help me stay sane while waiting for the season to begin (barely).
i cannot see....im legally blind
I jumped into this show late and once i finished season 4 i found your channel. I find these bonus video very helpful. Thank you. Your channel is definitely AWESOME!!
So glad you're starting to make GoT bonus videos again, I really enjoyed all the previous ones! I'd really like to hear about Asshai by the shadow!
I love your videos, Charlie, always looking forward to more videos!
Great video! I am still keeping my fingers crossed for you to do the Tourney of Harrenhall though!
So hyped for season 5 I can't even deal. I always watch your videos the minute the episode is finished so I can get more background context on the mayhem I have just watched!
I really enjoy your videos! I appreciate the fact that you take the time to explain what is going on in the series for those that have not read the books (regrettably).
The world of Westeros gets more and more rich and interesting as the show progresses. Thanks for helping to keep it all explained.
I've been hoping to see a video like this for a long time, glad to finally see one:)
Thank you for thinking of us! I appreciate your polite and informative videos.
Loving that Robert vs. Rhaegar picture towards the end
This was really useful. Thanks :D

Love the videos man. Keep them coming. Glad to see RUclips and that all of this has been working out well for you.
This guy is awesome.

If Charlie walked through a wardrobe and ended up in Westeros, he'd be fully qualified to teach Westeros history at the Citidel. He'd end every class high fiving his students as they left.
Would you ever post a super spoilery video that fills in all those things you hint at but never talk about? Thanks for posting as always!
Another great video Charlie. I think a future video of the greatest warriors of the show so far would be terrific. Who would you want to be your champion in Trial by Combat? Would be a great video to see for sure
Nice use of the Card Game images ! Love the video.
Great Video! The Sam/Citadel storyline is the one I'm looking forward to reading most in TWOW, with Arya's storyline being a very close second:)
Love the videos with more history from the books. Please do more videos about Valarya and Dany with predictions for the show! High Fives.
Oldtown: Inspired by Alexandria. With the libary and lightower.
Bravos: inspired by Rhodes. THE BIG ASS GIANT STATUE!
Talking about Qyburn would be fantastic for a video. I'm a GOT superfan and I am so interested in his character- I think that would be a great choice.
Last ASoIaF video of the Year! Great Job.
I love when I see a new Game of Thrones video from you in my subscriptions! Hopefully I win the Contest!
Can't wait for season 5!!! I hope they don't cut out Arya too much given how few chapters she has in books 4 and 5.
Tbh there's very little for her to do this season anyway (from the books), but I think they may get Gendry to reappear in Braavos and then they do more meaningful stuff together. i havent read the books yet, but i enjoying ur videos after just completing the series. Im excited to see whats next in the series, and especially the war scenes.
Thanks for the videos mate
Melbourne, Australia :)
I just finished book 3 and I gotta say what Samwell did to influence the election of the next Lord commander was awesome. Enough to say it might be my favorite part of the book. I hope we'll get to see it during season 5 !
Can't waiiit! I would like to see the pictures you talk about at around 5.30, can you make idk a small seperate video with those pictures?
I just love listening to you talk about Game of Thrones. You're awesome.
I don't buy that geoffry plotted the murder he has 0 motifs. I suspect Jamie/Cercei or petyr. Also Petyr loves Catelyn and not Lysa.
It's canon that Joffrey was the one that sent the assassin to Bran's room. He did out of a misguided attempt to win his supposed father's attention. Not long after Bran was pushed out of a window by Jaime, Robert got really drunk and said something along the lines of "We put down blind dogs and lame horses, why not give him the same mercy."
Please read the books before you make a comment like that.
I don't like reading that's why I asked the question in the first place :) I'm also hungrey for new content surrounding GOT. I can't wait for S5.
***** Yes Petyr loves Cat, not Lysa - but he knows Lysa is infatuated with him since they were all teenagers. She was easy to manipulate because she loves him. She recommended him in job openings like Master of Coin to get Petyr to where he is now in terms of status. Just love your videos explaining game of thrones! I cant wait for the next one!
Im so happy finding this channel weak ago and now is one of my favs! Great job Charlie! Always interesting content just for thigs that i like!
Your videos are great, could you do a Valyria video and how that city worked and thrived in lava, with so many dragons around
I think Qyburn has been named many thing since his introduction especially in the books in particular the friendship that he and Cersei develop but I never thought id hear just Oddball or "He's spo much fun" used to describe that stranger danger before
Any chance of a video about the Greyscale and those afflicted by it?
Can you do a bonus video about the stuff in awoiaf (the new history book)?
These chains--If you only have a few links, they don't force you to wear a stranglingly tight chain, do they? What do they do, stretch it out with otherwise useless jeweler's brass or something?
To graduate as a maester I believe you need more than eight links and endorsement from the conclave.
Also the chains can be worn on a strap or attached to a normal chain. I imagine an apprentice maester would wear the chains dangling from a belt or like bracelets.
Archmaester Marwynd also has a Valyrian steel ring and rod.
In the books the chains are in fact quite tight around their necks, they were described as almost as tight as a choke chain.
Thanks Charlie for another great video. I've just finished reading The World of Ice and Fire. Can you make a video about Asshai and its importance?
I love game of thrones, i love everything about it except the red wedding ( i cried), cant wait for season 5 & great video keep up the good work
Long time fan, first time commenting. Love your stuff man
Cheers Charlie for this video 😂 it's always nice to know more
Whenever I'm reading the world of ice and fire I can listen to you narrating it :)
man i love your videos. Keep 'em up like that :)
cheers a true fan of yours
I love these videos, seriously. I just want that Season 5 of GoT begins, I can't wait any longer lol
Just started reading the books love them, lots of backstory thanks for making me do this Emergency Awesome :)
Please do tell a little bit about the Dorsnish master plan along with the video on Qyburn.. thankyou
love your videos you could do some character videos for sesson 5
I just discovered your site today (New Year's Day) and have been watching it ever since. Keep up the good work. Guess whose channel I was on when the New Year came in? Are there still book giveaways?
Great video Charlie, good mix of current and ancient events, all relevant. Happy New Year thanks for all your great work this year. It was your videos turned me into a devoted YouTubber in 2014.
Finally! Been waiting a while for this.
I've been refreshing myself on the series and received one of the books for Christmas. So thankful for the spoiler warnings XD I've only been reading for 4 days but I'm near the end of book one
I just started Book 5 so I don't know much about Marwyn the Mage yet but I cant wait to see Oldtown and The Citadel!
Here hoping I'm a winner, but that's not what's important. Keep up the great job dude, as a show- primary based knowledgeable fan, I really enjoy watching the videos you make.
I'm a subscriber, and I just left a comment on this video :)..
It would be awesome if u make a very long book review videos,
winds of winter is coming and most of us had totally forgot what were the major events that happened.
Great video Charlie! Can`t wait for season 5!
Cant wait for what will be happening this season so pumped
I'm super excited for new season. Specially Arya and her bravos journey!
Hello I am a new subscriber I love game of thrones. These videos are good quality and I am going to stick around for the videos.
Love your videos. Nice, I learned something about the maesters. :)
Can u tell me where to get image you used at 8:47 , would love to have that as desktop wallpaper ?
I'd love to hear about your thoughts of The World of Ice and Fire and how reliable the information in it is, since it is written kinda like a story from a Maester's perspective.
Great videos man. I'd like to know more about the white walkers and also is any of game of thrones based on real history, kings etc??
That sword you showed at 3.00 looks like the Targaryen Valyrian sword Blackfyre. Is there a link where I can find this picture?
This is so awesome! I am so looking forward to season 5 !!

Thanks for speaking more about GoT lore that it not talked about very much!
it feels like Thrones has been between seasons forever! I'm really looking forward to 10hrs of incredible entertainment :)
Great Video. I love learning more about westeros:D
I totally love your videos and especially the game of thrones stuff.
I'd really like to see a video about the warg abilety that some of the wildlings and the Stark kids have with their wolf dreams.
How did this ability emerge? And is ut common in westeros or just inthe north and beyond the wall :)
I really like that you try not to spoil us too much (e.g. the samwell tarly stuff).
The Citadel would be awesome to see. I hope they don't cut out Sam's part involving it though. He has a lot of potential to become a pretty awesome person down the line.
I loved this video. So excited for next week
wish the new season would start already. The struggle is real
Thank you for all your hard work
I think we are going to see the citadel during season 6, but hopefully we'll see a glimpse of it this season.
You should do a video explaining the context of Westeros before Aegon s landing, and talk about the history of each of the seven kingdoms. As you said, a lot of people dont know that most of the big houses of Westeros ruled as Kings.
Emergency Awesome day 1 fan & big Got fan. Too excited for the next video.
I think we need the new book Winds of Winter published first for the show producers to add in the citadel. Right now even in the books, there is not much story or drama written that happened within the citadel except in relation to the character from the north.
I wonder if Martin made a spin-off book about the citadel. Kinda like Hedge Knight book.
there have been quite a few important characters in the show that are maesters - the maesters are relatively well represented show-wise - so they've laid down the background work to get non book reader prepared. Actually I really like Charlie's 'dragon at the citadel' fantasy.

Could u do a video on the Free Cities, as they're not explained much in the series and they're going to be coming up.
Hey man, could you perhaps post links to/tell us under tags the spoilery stuff you wouldn't say?
Hey Charlie
Great Video first! But could you do a Video about the 7 wonders of westeros/essos?
1:06 Uther? Is that a commonly seen name in titles such as ASOIF/Warcraft or do they have characters with the same names because they took from eachother?
Uther is the name of King Arthur's father, so it has been used quite often in MMOs and RPGs etc
SantomPh Well that explains it. Thanks!
I would love to hear you talking about Pate, from the 4th book's preface.
Spoiler!
I'm convinced that Jaqen H'ghar was the guy that killed Pate. He was trying to get into the Citadel for some reason so he stole Pate's identity.
Game of thrones season 5 will be a very fit birthday present! Btw you have a fan in Finland :)
You should do a bonus video on the dance of the dragons, or other topics from the world of ice and fire like yi ti or assiah
could you do a section on the ironborn? particularly the characters that I was hoping to see in season 5, that to my knowledge haven't been cast and look set to be cut out of the show completely, Crow's Eye, Victarion and Damphair. Great work, Charlie!!
