Hey Chy! you’re actually the one who convinced me to lock in and start reading the Bible back in January. I remember you talking about your new year resolutions and it convinced me to finally get serious about my faith. As of today I am 142 days into the “Bible in a year” reading plan and 7 books into the Bible. So thank you and I wish you all the best on your faith journey 💕
Also everything winter said is valid! Church is full of a lot of broken ppl who use God as a grift but a relationship with Jesus is what it’s all about.

Some books are really fun to read like Genesis and exodus had me gagged but I’m in chronicles rn and it’s kinda dragging but overall I feel like I’ve gotten so much closer to God and I’m so proud of myself cause it’s apart of my daily routine now

i don’t think winter meant it like that. i feel like she meant just don’t become a “crazy” christian lady who totally changes her beliefs. my close friend got married to a marine and now she’s super religious, doesn’t listen to any rap at all anymore, she cut off most of her best friends (luckily not me), and she’s just totally different than who she was a few months ago

I love you Winter SOOO much so please please don’t take this the wrong way but you don’t dedicate your life to a “church” you dedicate it to Christ, the one who created you and the reason you have breath in your lungs. Church is full of people, and people aren’t perfect, but that has nothing to do with God and him wanting an intimate, close relationship with you, his daughter. I pray you go with Chy and just check it out one day with an open mind 🙏🏽

I personally grew up going to church every single weekend. Did my confirmation (Catholic). I agree with Winter. I do not believe you need to go to church to have a relationship with God. I LOVE talking to God here, now, in the bathroom, in the laundry room, everywhere. Don’t need to go to a church, personally. But yes, if she’s never gone; she should go with Chy for a new experience she might enjoy.

Winter I understand your point about Church but you have to realise there are bad people everywhere and that’s why humans are flawed. Being Christian doesn’t automatically mean your perfect.Christianity is about a relationship with Jesus he just wants to get to know you…. Don’t reject his love because of human flaws no one is perfect only perfect person was Jesus himself. We are all mere humans, when you get to know Jesus you will realise how much he loves you it’s a love above your human understanding. I recommend you watch the chosen it opened my heart back to God I think watching shows about the Bible help a lot. If your worried about being judged don’t be in the Bible there is a story about Mary Magdalene she was a prostitute and a adulterer and yet Jesus chose her to follow him open your heart Winter
Mary Magdalene was never a prostitute. A pope in the year 591 decided to label her as one and people have ran with that ever since. The lies can be off-putting. Winter mentioned before that she’s done her own research/seeking and decided Christianity is not for her. That’s ok, it’s not for everyone ❤

I agree the standards are important, we also shouldn’t ignore the red flags that someone may not be as emotionally mature enough to love us. Emotional maturity is so important to find in a lover, especially after your early 20s we change and grow so much from that age age range.
Being sick through a tough time in your life means your transitioning into a new you and shedding old skin. Beautiful things are going to happen for you from this point forward ✨
I am atheist. But I fully believe that organized religion is NEEDED for some people, a lot of people… but I RESPECT the dedication of religious people. The ability to blindly believe in something you can’t see or touch and believe so deeply is a dedication I have never had for anything. But I do believe religion is a tool that was created once upon a time to keep people going in the “right” direction. Some people need direction and that’s cool! And some people need the fear of hell to not do wrong. Or to be okay with death religion is comforting. To each their own. All love 🫶🏽
Aww this is really sweet and loving of you! It’s refreshing to not see disrespectful hate from an atheist towards Christianity. I agree, it is beneficial to so many people. I pray more people eventually see religion as the positive thing its purpose is supposed be, and not what some bad people make it. God loves you! And so do I. Atheist or not
@@SMgail_ I have had many people try to get me “saved”. And I know it’s coming from a genuine place of love. They really believe that if I don’t give myself to Jesus I will spend eternity in a miserable cold
Dark place or fiery pits of hell. And that’s so heartwarming I’m cared for that much that they spend their time sending me scriptures and videos and talking with me about things. Sometimes though there is a lot of evil humans hiding behind religion. And I think that’s where a lot of the hateful atheists come from, whether they experienced religious abuse or just had a bad experience with a person who is also religious.
I had Mormons knock on my door once and asked if they could pray with me, I say sure. At the end they asked if I went to a church already and I said, “ no, I’m atheist” and they looked at each other and was in complete shock and said well thank you for not slamming the door in our faces like the lady up the street and thanks for praying with us. And I just said, “we aren’t all assholes” and they were shocked in a different way. I just try and be a good person. Treat others how I want to be treated and try and do the right thing.
This by far is one of the best podcast from yall! I don’t know if I just designate and relate to this one much more but it was so transparent about Chy talking about God and going to church. Winter was so transparent about her break up and not settling or trying to stay in something that ultimately could end negatively for her! Both of y’all did amazing like always and I can’t wait till the next podcast is up! Love y’all! Keep inspiring us!

It is a true feeling that’s spiritual everyone’s longing in this world for but when you finally get it through the Holy Spirit and know that that’s the only way to get it. It’s not a game. It’s the most powerful thing that can literally remove demons out of people cause we see it and scary movies all the time they don’t call on any other God, but Jesus, and I pray that you repent when it comes to the Holy Ghost God doesn’t him don’t play about our family may have the intention of making a mockery when you receive the Holy Ghost but sometimes you just be talking throughout your day and when you get to know him through the word of God, you hear his voice and not the devil‘s voice and not your own thoughts and you know OK the Holy Spirit is within me, especially if you accept him as Lord and savior who died on the cross and rose again and I’m here if anyone ever has any questions because we’re in this journey together, but please don’t make a mockery of God because he doesn’t play with
