    You're really wonderful. I've studied perfuming and of course chemistry and I think you're doing your viewers a great service in teaching them that they can dare to be unique and creative by developing their own private signature scents! And your knob/cork idea is simply ingenious! This entire video is so spot-on! Here's to all of the future niche parfumeurs that will be born from watching this video!

    I never studied French but you can follow the recipe I listed in the video with 3 parts of beeswax or soy wax, 2 parts of any oil, & 1 part of essential oil and/or fragrance oil. With this recipe, melt the wax with oil first before mixing your scented oil. Next is pour the liquid in a container and let it cool into a solid :)

    I have to say this is one of the best comments I have ever received =) I studies pharmacy so I get curious how things are made and aim to teach others. Thank you so much for the generous support and I hope many viewers will explore the art into making perfume!

    That's the DIY spirit ;) You can probably find designer inspired fragrance oils and dilute them in either oil or alcohol base. I can't tell the difference.

    Thank you so much :) I didn't do my hair color because the highlighting is complex and takes about 5 to 6 hours to dye my hair at the salon. My hair is black so you do have to bleach it before using blonde hair dye. If you don't, hair will turn brassy orange.

    Fractionated coconut oil is odorless and a liquid at room temperature. It has one of the longest shelf life that is perfect to make perfume with so it's completely different from solid coconut oil.

    Top are light fragrances that fades away in 30 minutes so you need to add a lot of those. To find out, you add a drop to your cotton pad and come back in an hr to see if it faded away. If it did than its a top note. Citrus and mint smells are usably top notes. I linked a chart that may help. The middle is your heart note that is the main scent and base is a rich smell like vanilla, rose, patchouli that helps the top and middle note last longer. Base note is also the strongest scent.

  • @BeautySplurge
    @BeautySplurge  11 лет назад +1

    Try cinnamon essential oil to spicy it up and look up a spicy summer scent on a designer perfume for the notes they use which you can see what essential and fragrance oil they mixed up.

    House spray is the same as make perfume but at a small percentage. You can go with an alcohol base that spread to the air better or just add 1 part of essential oil to 10-12 parts of water.

    Fragrance oils can be made with some essential oils with a mix of synthetic. I did mention you can use both and yes, you can mix both. There are scents that we can get from extracting plants like stawberries so it has to be made synthetically ;)

    Thank you=) In the video, I said that parts can be measured in teaspoon, tablespoon, or cups by the size of your container. Say you have a small tube container, you would probably want to measure in teaspoons or milliliter dropper. For example, if I say a recipe is 1 part fragrance oil to 3 parts alcohol then you take your teaspoon and measure 1 teaspoon of fragrance to 3 teaspoon of alcohol.

    There is no rule to mixing notes because we personally are attracted by different smells. I do recommend using one drop of each note at a time to build from it to see what notes you need to tweak, For oil, I did mention to dab on so scent absorbs into the skin;) For was its different because the wax need to melt on so you do have to rub. I hope that helps.

    I listed in the video and in the info box to use water soluble soap dye that is safe on skin and won't stain the skin. I do recommend to just use a drop or two. You can get those at a craft store in the soap making area or order online from the links I posted.

  • @BeautySplurge
    @BeautySplurge  11 лет назад

    It's about either using one scented oil to blending a bunch together and diluting it with oil or alcohol. The easiest to making oil perfume ;) Start from there and try other methods if you like.

  • @BeautySplurge
    @BeautySplurge  11 лет назад

    Try the 4th method but its not the highest quality like perfumer's alcohol. Just add distiller water and rubbing alcohol together. The fragrance will look cloudy and you have to shake it each time before use unless you use polysorbate 80 to make oil and water combine together.

    I make it easy by using parts and know that 20 drops equals 1 ml. First, find out how much your bottle container hold. It should saw on your label or fill it up with water with a measuring spoon, cup, or drop. Once you know your final milliliter volume, you divide it into parts. To make 15% Eau de Parfum and my bottle can hold 50 ml. From my recipe, you will need 1 part of fragrance oil to 6 parts of alcohol. This means you need 6 more of perfumer's alcohol than fragrance oil.. to be continued
