@@actually5004 I have to still with my original assessment for myself. 1. Never heard of Gojira. 2. Just watched some vids and signers that screaming of the lyrics turns me off. If you like the great but for me with a musical background, it's a quick pass. I like loud and hard hitting metal but the screaming, no.
The music that these three amazingly talented men created and performed could never be matched by any other trio in history, ever! The greatest music of all time imo. RIP Neil. I don't care what anyone says. You, sir, were #1. Absolute master of the sticks. I have never heard anything that touched me like the music of these three genius musicians. God bless you all for all the many gifts you have given your fans that will live on forever!
I saw them back in the 80's - still have the ticket. Neil Pert was a force to be reckoned with - I will never forget the kaleidoscope ; the mandala of sweat that radiated out from him as he took to his drums. Spectacular! FLY by NIGHT was the first song I ever learned on guitar. So many amazing memories of being young in college, staying up late night with friends, laughing and living large to the wee hours of the morning and making memories of youth and courage that fades with age.
Got to party with them back stage in Columbus, Georgia. They were the lead-off band for Blue Oyster Cult. RIP Neil, and thanks for helping me up off the floor that night.
The Hemispheres tour was my first Rush concert. I saw each tour after that until Roll the Bones tour which was the last time I saw them (unfortunately). RIP Mr Peart...
I lived in six Provinces as a New Englander studying at Dal, Univ. of Toronto or Western, and being a wicked good Masshole from The North Shore. God bless P.E.I.!!

With Sammy Hager he joined Van Halen later like woooooow we lived the best time of MUSIC ! us oldies lol GEN X all the way
Here's a thought, sure they're good musicians, but just good because it all sounds like one long fn song. It's like, yikes, this is worse than hotel cali after the 3 min mark or stairway to heaven after the 330 min mark. You realize all rush sounds the same but most can't comprehend that. Again, yes they are good musicians but it's a ehhhhhhh for me. I know it's an unpopular thought around the trailer park but let's get real ppl
Hearing for the first time... The mixing appears very very very dated... it appears very 70's like sound; It is not a sound for everyone, it's more a sound for musicians...
Nope. Definitely not compression. Must be somewhere in your system. I just ran a compression test and I'm not hearing any at all. I would suggest checking the flux capacitor in your left woof woof. That ought to do it.
@@Sifodyas1 with all due respect, not to imply that you put compression on rather, streaming service compressed. In any case, another tube site has same audio upload and sounds better in this respect. Nothing changed on my side. Happy listening 👍🏼
I was fortunate to see them 29 times...first Concert was in 1976, with Nazareth...I paid $6.50...
That's totally awesome.
Take care, and you should see The Maritimer!
Cheers!
You are very fortunate, sir. I would pay many times that ticket price to be able to see them all together. It must have been amazing!
Only $6.50 that’s crazy 😮😵💫🫥
I saw Foreigner 4-5 x's, & Reospeedwagon, 3-4x's. Tickets were like $16.50 Agentprovacteur tickets were about $ 26.50 , I bought 5 tickets, Vic..
That would have been an awesome concert too see
There will never in our Lifetime be another Drummer like Neil Ever😢
Kaith Moon too 😢
Best band I ever saw live without all the pyrotechnics. Nothing compares to them live. It is life changing.
Agreed. They are top 5 tightest live bands of all time.
Can totally confirm this... unforgettable experience.
Alright, but don't say anything else until you've seen Gojira live.

So much noise that only 3 members of the band could play. So mesmerizing and full of energy. By far the best trio band.
But noise.... 😢
51 years old! Never been to any concert in my life, if I did, it would be RUSH or Pink Floyd!
Best music to ever exist. RUSH is not just a band, it is life itself.

The most underrated band of all time. I do not know why!

Rush could put out five or six different greatest hits albums and I wouldn't argue with any of the songs on them. 😊
Best progressive rock band

rush is one of the few band where the guitarist is the less known
Not to musicians and fans. As a budding guitarist in the early 1980s, Alex was my idol and I worked tirelessly to emulate his playing.

How is YYZ not on this list?
Looks like they left the instrumentals off the list.
YYZ was largely considered intro by DeeJay 's. It's short duration I imagine caused the omission🙂
I totally agree with you bud!! What were they thinking!😳
You could ask that same question about dozens of Rush tracks. Including YYZ of course 😮
