    Kobe and Gasol were not a Dynasty. Shaq and Kobe were, they could have legitimately won 5-8 rings together.

    Shaq can predict the future. He said in 2001 that Kobe was the greatest player in basketball when Shaq/Duncan were, just 5 years later Kobe truly was the greatest player in basketball.

    Pretty sure if Shaq got his ass in shape for training camp then Kobe wouldn't have had to call him out about that, and their relationship would have been just fine. Shaq got complacent.

      Yeah, I mean Kobe is very serious about his legacy and he was only cool about deferring to a 32-year-old as long as he was at his apex. We saw what Kobe was capable of since Antawn Jamison challenged him in 2000, the efficient 51 points (each) him out playing Shaq in the playoffs, him coming back from Jalen Rose taking him out with the bad ankle to win the game saving the championship dreams of the Lakers, the 56 points in 3 quarters when Shaq was out in 2002 and of course when he showed out in the 2002-03 campaign. Phil was holding Kobe's game back, partly for a great reason no one could match up with Shaq in the Eastern Conference, to appease the childish ego of the wunderkind that was Shaquille O'Neal at the time. I mean, it's evident, Shaq in a non-satirical manner was calling Kobe "my idol" and the best player in the league multiple times, not only in the video I'll link down below but on this very video as well.
      Shaq calling Kobe his idol in the 2001 series against the Spurs in which Kobe was not only destroying a team that Shaq was struggling agonist but the entire Western playoffs:
      ruclips.net/video/jyfR2pDOt3k/видео.htmlm42s
      Kobe and Antwan 51 points:
      ruclips.net/video/-rHtfianAo0/видео.html
      Kobe 56 points in 2002, against a young Gasol. Yes, this predates his iconic game vs the Mavs in where he outscored the entire Championship contender with 62 in 3 quarters:

    Nope, its not debatable 2001 and 2002 Shaq dominated the Nets and 76ers. Maybe after but from 2000-2003 he was the clear leader. Kobe was the clear leader when Gasol came, because the years Shaq left before Gasol came, the Lakers were just a .500 team.

    @sera7ares If only Kobe was willing to take the backseat because he was obviously carried by Shaq in the first 3. Then he went to Miami and carried D Wade to a championship. I'm sure Shaq would be willing to take a backseat role to someone that deserves it but Kobe didn't deserve it at the time.

    No he's not passing the torch to Bynum, although I think Bynum is a great player, he is inconsistent. I hope you are joking about the coach thing, Phil Jackson is one of the best coaches ever (if not the best) but it's because he had players like Jordan, Kobe, and Shaq. Kobe's never going to pass the torch to anyone, especially to someone on his team. Please don't reply to this, I hate arguing about pointless shit. Kobe, and Shaq were the best duo of all time. The End.

    Don't blame Shaq dude, Kobe fucked it up. Ask Phil. Phil Jackson even wrote a book where he called Kobe "un-coachable". I understand you like Kobe (so do I) but in actuality Kobe's ego fucked up the Lakers dynasty. Shaq still had gas in the tank all the way up to 2006. He was still in his prime after the 3rd ring in LA...

  • @gwmkwan
    @gwmkwan 12 лет назад

    It was Phil Jackson who made Kobe's career success
    I think Kobe took way too much credit in the past
    Since last year, Kobe could carry a team without the Zen Master
    This season it was obvious that the Lakers torch has pass to Bynum

  • @Dreamewalker
    @Dreamewalker 12 лет назад

    @sera7ares I mean...you can throw all that bull shit around all day but...it only matters in the finals. Look at the past year's Heat and tell me any different. When I watch the Kobe Shaq Lakers Finals...I see Kobe just irresponsibly dribbling around and then getting bailed out by shaq. Kobe just didn't know what he was doing at the time.
    If D Wade was that good, his team would've at least made it to the Finals again after Shaq left.

  • @TaylorAA23
    @TaylorAA23 12 лет назад

    Shaq woulda been the leader up until05-06, kobe was not the leader in 04, he shot them out of a championship. Shaq was traded because kobe was going to be the leader in a couple years and because their relationship was shattered after Kobe snitched an Snaq so there was no point of keeping it together since it probably wouldnt have worked. Kobe is to blame 04-08 failures.

  • @RodrigoMJ32
    @RodrigoMJ32 11 лет назад

    both had big egos, but it was more about Kobe wanting it all for himself, trust me, even though he would never admit it, it was all about himself, if he did not want Shaq to leave LA he would have said something about it, well, he didn't and to this day he would not admit it, does not matter if they are friends now but he is a very selfish player, yeah he has been passing more now, he should have done the TEAMMATE thing earlier and they would have won more than 3 in a row.......
