I can’t wait to try this ride- the light speed jump part seems like a Star Wars fan’s dream come true😭
My 11 year old son and I were the pilots and my mom and 8 year old son were the shooters. It was beyond amazing and we actually did pretty well since my kids and I are all gamers. Communication between the pilots is KEY to getting an excellent experience.
My boyfriend and I went to Galaxys Edge for the first time last summer. We are both pilots and got onto the single rider queue for this ride to kill time and had no idea what it was. We ended up riding 3 times as engineers each time because the experience was so incredible. Just watching each set of "pilots" learn to fly the Falcon was great.

When I first got on this my Star Wars love was growing and growing from stirring in the cockpit of the most iconic Star Wars ship ever
I'd be happy just to be in the gunner's chair, but to pilot the Falcon would fulfill a lifelong dream.

I went on this ride twice back when I went to Disney World with my family. Once I got to be a shooter and the other time a pilot. One of the best rides in Hollywood Studios!

@@dripisthename5997 it is in Florida, it obviously is only a screen with shakes and special movements that make it feel like if you were actually high up

I think in the future Disney should make this like star tours where there are different missions, as this ride is great but can get repetitive

I went on it in January it was a little different. Our hyperdrive failed after we left Corellia and we had to navigate through an asteroid field.

Right?! The first time I rode smugglers run, I was the right pilot so I had control of light speed and it was so much fun
I did it when I was pilot and I had the biggest smile on my face that I've ever had in my life. I was absolutely blown away by this park and everything in it
Me and my husband went on this back in December 2020. I was the pilot and I kept crashing into stuff. When we were walking off, a voice on the intercom said that the falcon might as well be scrapped. 😂😂😂😂

I agree. Those quad guns are after all, some of the biggest guns on The Falcon. It's a shame to leave them unused!

I would think hitting the throttle and going to lightspeed would be a dream come true. Folks like me watched these movies for 40+ years wanted nothing more than to do this.
I still to this day don't have a driver's license/can't drive, and you want me to fly a whole spaceship.

Disney probably wouldn't want to cause then they couldn't shove everyone in the same movement simulating cockpit. Here's a simple solution. Shove the engineer under the cockpit, prompting the engineer to repair certain components. You have to crawl through the engineer module, though. You also have to crawl through it to get to the turret. My idea, anyway.
Not to mention construction times, which would dip profits.

I flew this first time at the Disneyland location, I earned 7,848 Credits for my performance as co-pilot. Looking forward to flying it again to add to that total

If I’m claustrophobic, would you recommend this ride? I am comfortably able to ride Star Tours, Tower of Terror, and Space Mountain, but can not tolerate mission space. I’d love to hear your experiences if tight spaces bother you.
Tight spaces don’t bother me in general, but it is very tight in there and can get uncomfortable at times in my opinion

Do you actually have any say in how you perform or is it all just points? i mean can the pilot really dodge obstacles and such?
Not gonna lie, even though Smuggler’s Run is a “GO-TO RIDE” for me, it’s a very challenging ride for most guests (at the least)! Overall, each role is fun in various ways, I prefer Engineer in my thoughts. Well, either way, still one of my best Disney Park rides, better than I expected! 👍😊
Also, is it just me, or do I find this ride somehow hilarious? Probably the crashes/collisions and reactions after they occur, lol! 🤣😂 No offense.

Who decides who's the pilot? Or just randomly selected?
strangeimpulse2003 a cast member just randomly gives out cards with your position to your party. You can always switch if you want to your party or you can tell a cast member that you want to be the pilot

Does everyone have to do something? Where's best to sit if you're a bit nervous of stomach lurches? Is it just a machine that you sit in moves?
la_rousse 1 yes, So there are 2 Pilots, 2 Gunners, and 2 Engineers. Everyone has something they have to do, and if you don’t do it then your ride will be affected but honestly it’s still fun even if you don’t participate. The ride is a simulator. I personally don’t feel any motion sickness on this ride at all so I am not sure where is best to sit

la_rousse 1 yep that’s pretty much it! Being the pilot may require more concentration so when you go ride it, ask to be a Gunner or Engineer!

Even though my family of 4 and a portugese man who apparently didnt knew english which i still wonder how he got there, returned with the falcon at 34% we still managed to end the course, it was a very good ride
Can I ask a stupid question? Becoz like I am totally ignorant of the system. Is the smuggler's run and rise of resistance free of cost (I mean just the ticket we book for the theme park) or do we have to pay additional like Savi's Workshop and Droid Depot?

For my first time I didn’t understand this ride? Like I’m new to Star Wars I was never interested in the movies or nothing I know shocker! But now that I went to Disney for the 2nd time for my birthday this year that was fun! But what was the purpose of this ride? Like do you get a score or something? I think our ride didn’t work for the rest of the way because nobody knew what to do because we just sat there like it didn’t move when it was almost over but Someone explain that though I just want to be prepared next time if I have to do something.

Noah Rudd’s Channel i mean it really depends. As of late the wait time could be anywhere from 65 minutes to like 2 hours or so. Going in the morning will make the wait time the shortest

Around 50 minutes at night . If you find a way to entertain yourself it will feel like a ten minute line 🤷🏽♂️

Is it just me, or is the queue just as good, if not better, than the ride? Word of advice: If you're one of the pilots you better bring your A game. If you suck, you'll hear about it!
