how to use lumber man's method / how to estimate the height of a tree with a stick / i show how to use a walking stick or any other long stik to measure the height if an oak or any other tree . great fun for the kids and very useful to estimate where the tip of a tree will fall when felled .work becase you are effctively using geometry. creating a triangle
withequal sides . it is subject to error you must hold your arm perpendicular to you body and the ground must be level between you and the tree . beware also that a leaning tree or tree which has a crown that conceals the tree tipwill give a false reding . never theless used careful way to estimate a tree height when no other means is availbel. scout tip 🖤💱🧡ASLU6666
