I called on the rez for 13 years in sales. Many great memories and people. Made many friends! Incredible scenery and weather conditions. Retired and miss it!!
I live off the elephants feet rest area 3 miles from the dirt road and like Y or around nabout towards east and towards the black mesa or John daw mesa
PERFECT video. I added this one to my saved list because it is super helpful for getting a lay of the land. I have collected a series of these videos now ranging from Flagstaff, AZ to Denver, CO.
@@Interstate411 did you do the drive to Cortez or Durango along the 160? If so, how is that drive? I'm driving to Durango from Flagstaff tomorrow and I'm a little nervous of steep inclines and descends.

The music sounds so familiar for some reason. Instrumentals to some songs that I feel that I should know....hmmm.
Music was impeccable sir!.
Thank you :)

Love the video...have total wanderlust...these videos help!! Who is this music?... I love it!
Thanks! Without knowing which one specifically, I can say that they all came from the YT audio library or from audiohero.com.
What are the twin structures at 9:35? Thank you and great drive!
I really have no idea -- just random rock formations as far as I know. Quite a few of those out that way.
Elephant Feet Butte
They are called, "Elephant feet".
Back in the 1920's to 1930's the early T model cars and wagons, etc., would drive between the elephant feet.
Were there any steep inclines or declines on this route? Or was it a pretty flat drive.
That's pretty flat.

You have nothing to worry about
@@moniquesmith3299 it’s a relatively easy drive. I drive 160 quite often from Cortez to Tuba City all the time
Name of first song? From 0:16-3:22?
It is called Lost in the Moment
@@Interstate411 I tried that but it wasn't the song though.
