So what your saying is every single Ryan air, Easyjet, Spirit and Delta flight should be cancelled due to their pilots suffering constant work related stress??? Those who persistently use mental health as an excuse for absolutely EVERYTHING can be thrown out of an airborne aircraft with no parachute and good riddance to persistent unreliability!! Mental health isn't an excuse to get you out of working/grafting for the rest of your life, doesn't work like that!! Most pilots have mental health issues to some extent but the question is always to what extent. Can't just shut down international airspace because pilots are "having a bad day". Mental health can't be used as an excuse for absolutely everything the way it is though and this is why people get backlash/responses like this from it as what they're trying to dictate is they can encroach and get away with it and leave everyone else financially worse off!! People who are persistently ill ALL THE TIME at other people's financial expense end up violently kicked out onto the streets/made homeless. A lot of people actually don't understand how mental health really works and there's no middle ground when it comes to paying bills in full and on time!!
How did the PSA plane crash? I assume it was on autopilot. Shouldn't it have just continued flying normally until it ran out of fuel? Unless maybe Burke made it nosedive, or the dead pilots fell on the controls?
With a severe major depression, hallucinations are common, and can be indistinguishable from reality for the patient. They may appear to be ‘normal’, but with a strange mental dialogue. Intelligence is not reduced, and they can often disguise their symptoms. Mental illness is a career killer for many professions, such as pilots, nurses, and physicians. Many people consider it to be a moral lack, or lack of will to overcome it by oneself. Therapy is seen as a weakness, and precludes any future trust or advancement.
I find it very irresponsible from the company to allowing this guy to fly having this kind of medical history because the problems that he had are of huge concern. Why put lifesof people in his hand knowing this? 🤬. Am sorry for all those who lost their lives and their family.
6:12 My God! Fancy crashing your plane on purpose to end your own life and sod everyone else. Only to walk away from it, unscathed, and a serial killer to boot.😢
Sad how something terrible has to happen in order for changes to be made, instead of foresight into proactive measures to prevent incidents in the first place.
Annnnnd this is exactly why I unsubscribed from this channel two months ago. I came back to check in, and I see "Murder in the Skies", thinking, it can't be THAT one again, but here we are. I do thank you for your years of work on these, but I believe you have finally jumped the shark. Keep racking in the revenue from your other videos, and call it a day. I'll stick with Alec.
I'm continually amazed by how often serious mental illness is overlooked when those afflicted are allowed to continue their attempts to integrate with mainstream society, with little regard of the potential dangers to the public. It's as if reporting problems with such individuals is somehow inhumane, and a person who dares to bring up the need for possible medical observation and evaluation of a seriously deranged individual is chastised for "making waves" and causing trouble. I'm reminded of recent multiple homicides reported in NYC, caused by deranged individuals who suddenly push innocent commuters to their deaths in front of incoming subway trains. These murderers have long histories of deranged behaviors which are obvious to anyone who is in their proximity. Usual symptoms are threatening behavior to any and all people in their presence, and unpredictably acting out their delusions on anyone and anything at any time. Whatever is going wrong with our society has been going wrong for a long time with nobody making any effort to fix it. I agree that mentally ill persons are also people who deserve rights, but not at the expense of the rest of society who need to be protected from these potential and actual murderers whose brains short-circuit at any time.
Well said! I’m tired of people like my nephew getting a free pass just because he’s bipolar and schizophrenic. He’s fine when he takes his meds but then, as is common for many bipolar people, he decides he doesn’t need to take them any more because he feels great. If he went out and committed another crime, there would be tons of people saying the usual tropes of, “Well, we need to take mental health seriously! It’s not his fault we don’t make mental health care available!” and the tired, “Society failed him!” No, “society” didn’t fail him in the slightest: he failed himself. He has the capacity to know he has to remain under treatment and take the meds his doctors have prescribed. Society isn’t making him sell drugs for a living because he doesn’t want an actual job, and society didn’t make him break into people’s houses for a quick buck, either. He alone is responsible for his choices and actions and if he decides to go commit another crime, he needs to be removed from society for OUR protection. When heinous crimes are committed by people like the captain and airline employee in the video, or the deranged murderers who push people in front of trains, the victims and their families are typically immediately forgotten if the criminals have - or claim to have - any mental health issues. All of the sympathy goes to them because “they weren’t in their right mind and shouldn’t be held responsible,” but that doesn’t make their victims any less dead, and it doesn’t alleviate any of the shock, horror, grief, anger, loss, and trauma their families have to live with for the rest of their lives. Sure, murderers like the captain should be treated in a psychiatric hospital for a time, but then they should be sent to prison to finish serving out the rest of the sentence any other murderer would have gotten - not sent home to “live quietly with his wife in the shadow of Mount Fuji.”

Yeesh at least this guy (or guys) is making an effort to present some interesting content, can yall give him a break smh
Insane enough to not be put on trial but sane enough to pretend to be someone else after the crash.
How did the PSA plane crash? I assume it was on autopilot. Shouldn't it have just continued flying normally until it ran out of fuel? Unless maybe Burke made it nosedive, or the dead pilots fell on the controls?
according to ChatGPT - in investigation determined that the autopilot was not engaged at the time
Yes he pushed the control column
@@johneyon5257 don't use ChatGPT, it doesn't always gave correct answer
I'm concerned with whatever is happening with this channel. Such continuous responds are not a good sign. You ok TFC?

No only is the "I'm the problem" incident a re-upload, it's at least the 3rd or maybe even 4th upload 😐
I and many others are new to the channel so we haven't seen such uploads. If you feel the upload is repeated, don't watch it. Simple as that.
It was mixed in with another re-upload, how was I supposed to know that.
Go cry about it. This is my first time seeing it. Begone cry baby. It's just RUclips.
No one did an in depth investigation on this guy before they hired him to fly ppl around. Are you kidding???
Why does it always take a catastrophic event to implement additional safety measures, surely all eventualities can be discussed at the outset.
6:12 My God! Fancy crashing your plane on purpose to end your own life and sod everyone else. Only to walk away from it, unscathed, and a serial killer to boot.😢

Can the new owner of flight channel provide some context as to why the major drop in quality? Grow a backbone and be transparent with your audience.
wow--grow a backbone and be respectful
Sobering to be sure.
Japanese pilot sounds like a friend of mine who suffered a traumatic brain injury, paranoid
Sad how something terrible has to happen in order for changes to be made, instead of foresight into proactive measures to prevent incidents in the first place.
Cannot believe this guy was allowed to continue to fly with all of his mental health issues.
Sad. Used to be my favorite channel for ages. Im 2 weeks away from signing up for Lufthansa, this channel has been by my side throughout the whole time. But thats it now, those reuploads and lacking quality are trash, ruining this channel. Such a shame. Goodbye
Good luck. Time to write your own stories. Hopefully none of which will be shown here of course😅
Goodbye don't come again
Japan has not been known to take mental health seriously enough. It's a major shortcoming. Mental health is just as important as physical health.
That pic of David Burke looks a lot like Richard Pryor
Some people say he was such a nice guy that saw no evil in people.
I felt the same way.
He was a friggin murderer. Are you insane!?
Did the first officer in the first case survive the crash?
according to Plane Crash Wiki - both the first officer and flight engineer were hospitalized - so the cockpit crew all survived
@@johneyon5257 Cheers mate!
What Flight Simulator do you use?
What about China Eastern 5735?
It's ongoing investigation

I have definitely seen the first one before, and possibly the second. Why upload stories you've already done?
So the spook steals and possibly help smuggle drugs.......gets caught and canned, and takes it upon himself to take down the flight and everyone in it......wow

FSX or MFS 2020
Im pretty sure this is p3d
It's p3d,most of the crashes on this channel has been done in p3d
Strange because apparently when an aircraft hits the ground like that everything just disappears, everything! Never to be seen again, engines blackbox tyres wings people everything.
What channel doesn't show re-runs? If you recognized it before or soon after starting to watch, just move on.

At this level of subs he stands to gain much more using his current tact than he ever could lose trying to pander to a minority "base" of most dedicated viewers. In other words: you may be mad about it, but he'll make more money ignoring you guys than abiding your criticism. It's a lost cause. Such is the brutal cycle.
So did the other 2 (first captain and flight engineer) survive?
In the way, the captain deciding to crash into water while they were about to land killed a lot less people. Everyone was strapped in and also the impact was not as strong as let’s say .. hitting the mountains
Sad Sad Sad On Both Situations 😩😭😭😭😭 May All Who Perished Be In Heaven 😇😇😇😇
Is this on a simulator or an animation app or web. I need to know
You never know who is really flying the aircraft. Your number could be up at any time.

What happened to the JAL co-pilot and engineer?
Omg the JAL killer is still alive. can't believe.

If only the PSA crew would have locked the cockpit door after hearing the gunshots!
Most of the passengers would have survived if they could have landed the plane.
Wow i havent seen this covered on any ither channels or by Mayday other cable tv aviation related shows. Seems like a caption intentionally crashing a passenger plane with passengers should be one of the nost major crashes that is covered. Weird.
This channel covers so many incidents. It would probably be one of my favorite channels if the narrator would turn their microphone on.

Sometimes these 1st and 2nd officers are to blame. you are about to land and he pulls the throttles to iddle and you there just smiling.

I do NOT like this new format of conflating two different air crashes in one video. Please just present each incident in each one video. In this case, at 7:15, you mention "As a matter of fact, [they] just terminated David Burke, even though no David Burke has ever been so much as mentioned in the video. WAT?
Mental illness is a global issue, yet only in the US is there such easy access to firearms. Some states refuse red flag laws, insisting even those with severe mental issues should own guns.
