      if you did a DNA test - you can find out. If you dont want one - a decent guess would be somewhere in West Africa! Ghana has a 'Year of Return' project happening atm. If you are part of the diaspora - you can always get a Ghanaian passport. At least then you can claim some part of your heritage back :) GOOD LUCK! 👍❤🖤

    • @bongephiwazulu6373
      @bongephiwazulu6373 5 лет назад +2

      Serenity Map Its called ululating- it is done during happy times eg I'm half black ( My mother is Zulu from south africa) So if we came to visit grandma to the village she would ululate. Like when my ma bought her new sofas, when she built her a new house and when they came to pay lobola she was ululating.We ululate on weddings , traditional ceremonies so all the time it's when we are happy. Correct me if I'm wrong

      @@bongephiwazulu6373Oh cool, thank you for explaining. When the grandma in the video ululated, it felt like a specific vibration like a good vibes vibration but I didn't understand it or the meaning. I like that the women are allowed to announce happiness like that. Seems natural. When I was in the military and we did marching cadences, the women would naturally insert our own high pitched chime or lyrics into the song. It's hard for me to explain, because I don't know of the Namibia culture but it seems like the ululating is indeed what you say, and also inherently commanding. To announce to the environment, neighbors, family, animals and everything surrounding that something good is happening. A natural cadence. Correct me if I'm wrong though. Also is the ululating only acceptable when at home or can the women do it in public also? When is it acceptable to do? If a woman is happy alot of the time can she ululate alot like can she wake up in the morning and go outside to see the sunrise and ululate? Sorry about the questions I'm curious.

      Serenity Map 😂😂😂😂 No they don't ululate when they wake up everyday. When something good has happened they do like if kids has passed at school or if their children get a job something like that

      Thanks for the explanation. In my culture the elders do it often at graduations, weddings, baptism parties. Since I don't leave close to my fam they are always very happy to see me every two years when I go visit....hence they ululate 😂🤣
