As a cat lover myself I thought geralt was very adorable and I loved the little talking bit you added to him. I like how you added the pitfalls. I am new to mermaiding and find it hard to see what I am doing wrong though my friend and merwrangler/fiance have tried to explain it to me I can't quite see it. You did a great job at showing me HOW to move and the why and what too. Def a fan now

I was today old when I learned that the swimming technique I was using after watching the mermaids in Weeki Wachee, Florida was called a Dolphin kick. It just looked super efficient and I started doing it. I found I could spend longer underwater because I was using less effort to move. Today while filming I managed 50 meters one one breath. I will try some of your pointers next time.
what I've seen many mermaids do and I don't like so much... is the moments when the knees make such a sharp angle, I think *that* is what makes it look less natural and fluid. I don't know if one can do anything about it, though.
My swim coaches said that bending the knees too much creates excess drag while doing underwater dolphin kicks. You can keep your legs straight but not rigid and work on having the motion come from your chest press and core strength just like mermaid echo said

I just picked up an FF3 fluke and skin and a modified FF1 skin and these swim tips helped a lot. It made me realize I'm on the right track but there's plenty of practice to do!

I believe that something important that's left out is to practice breath hold. Won't be able to stay underwater that long if you can't hold your breath that long. For me, I can only hold my breath for 3 minutes static, and that is already pushing it when I start getting contractions close to 3min. Haven't tried out breath hold yet while swimming

My first time practicing witg a fin, I kept this advice in mind. Youve become one of my Mermaid inspirations and I appreciate that you went through the effort of making this for us beginning mers
I would A regular kick purse, then push your legs in position and just use your arms. Or keep your legs closer together. Get more speed in your arms and head straight a full way, and if you find yourself, want to go downwards and swim back up. Make sure you light stroke your belly button. Before float enough To flow up.
Or learn the mermaid flute on her back. It's the easiest thing to do by keeping your leg straight. Why you're flipping on your back? I'll learn how to do it under water.

Dolphin kick is the first method for swimming that i learned, so this comes naturally for me.
