Bless his heart, even if it was in the script, Skip did the right thing here. He stepped in, played the role of peace-maker, and helped these two to resolve their differences. We are taught:Blessed are the peace-makers, for they shall be called the Children of God.
As a man, every single time I watch this hilarious scene, I instantly cross my legs, LOL!! It's painful just to watch!! Any other Men out there feel the same? Ooh, man that's gotta hurt. One of the best comedies starring 2 great actors, RIP fellas. Gone but NEVER forgotten.
Yes, he passed on in January of 2014. So, he and all the fellow main cast members of 1979's "Hot Stuff" are all gone now. :( That's where I remember him best from, as well as this and "The Electric Company".
I was reminded of this scene recently because I prevented a fight between two women in a parking lot. There was no screwdriver involved though. All I did was stand in front of the one woman who was going to attack the other. I'm kind of lucky I wasn't kicked in the groin though. Lol. It's funny how in that case just like in the one above it was the smaller person who was being the aggressor. I guess shorter people often feel the need to prove something to themselves. Not sure.
when I was young and first saw this I thought his name really was chico but once I learned chico is spanish for boy it became clear it was meant as an insult lol
Never underestimate a good pair of pliers......

Probably one of the most difficult scenes in any movie for a man to watch.

Funny. My memory had worked this around to somehow being Steve Martin in the Jerk. (Similar innocent character.)
"I AM A BOY, DAMON."
