There's a phrase in archaeology, and that's to leave archaeological evidence in Situ or on site. Frankly, in the real world the police officer and the archaeologist wouldn't have too much to disagree about.
Normally yes, but on a site where new construction is about to happen this would be rescue archeology. There would be an emphasis on recording and preserving as much as possible as soon as possible. This might involve removing remains that would ordinarily be left in situ, if they would otherwise be destroyed by the construction.
Rest in powerful peace Jerry Orbach 🙏

Don't you just miss these old actors .They were the best.
These two are the best Law team, so I am always glad to see them. But I would really like to see more of the Order. I think Ben Stone has been vastly underrated as time has gone by.
Minor nitpick but wouldn't the police be the Order and the lawyers be the Law?
But I agree with you, it seems like Ben Stone gets overlooked simply because he's from the early days of the franchise.
I loved Ben! McCoy can be flashy and even vindictive but Ben was passionate about the law! I loved him! Oh, I bought season 1 and some of two on Amazon just to see Ben (and young Mikey)!
He was my fave DA
Where can I find all the episodes at?? Help pls!!!
Honestly, it was ALL Lenny. Didnt matter the partner, he made every one of them the best team. And youre right Benny boy was/is def underated but nobody did it better than the Mack
Depressing to think that a store like the button place likely wouldn't exist anymore
Jerry Orbach and Chris Noth were great as partners. They were so natural.
Yep two of the best 😉
In the 90s he's solving weapons crimes, and 400 years later he's dealing weapons with his cousin Quark. The guy really gets around.
Who was that then?
@@christopherdean1326 the assistant m.e. Borak, the guy in the lab coat who gives them the rundown on the dead guy, he played Quark’s cousin Gaila on DS9 for a couple of episodes, you know the cousin who became an arms dealer and now owns a moon. Actor is named Josh Pais.
@@FireDragonArmy2 Don't remember that, but I'm working my way through the box set of DS9 right now, so I'll see it sooner or later.
@@FireDragonArmy2 it warms my heart that a non-zero number of people understood my stupid joke. Seriously, that enough fans of both classic L&O and DS9 exist that even one liked this, let alone commented, means there's hope for mass entertainment yet. Great shows both.
He was also a guest actor on Psych, but I doubt anyone would have got a "Dr. Umma" reference.
I Just realized that.
Ohrbach is so good as the "seen it all" veteran cop.
Logan: "Did the quartz watch give it away?" Ah, the burn!
"This isn't the Army, where you shoot 'em from a mile away--you get up nice and close and ba-da-bing, you got brains all over your nice Ivy League suit!"--the late, great James Caan
I saw Jerry Orbach substitute for Minnesota Fats on Carson. He was sooooo cool and personable, how could i not fall for and admire him???!!!
This was my favorite episode with ADA Stone. In it, he goes up against a defendant he faced off in the past. It had a lot of twists and turns.
The basic plot / backstory of the episode was inspired by the "Billionaire Boys Club" but they take in a completely different direction.
I forget how this one goes but I remember enjoying it, and these first few minutes are very enjoyable!
5:16 Did he accidentally screw up hanging up the phone? I saw a split second of hesitation and then he went with the scene.
I miss Jerry Orbach. Always one of my favorites
American Dream is a Top 10 episode of the entire 21-year run. It's that good.
I find it hard to believe that an archeological dig would disrupt a crime scene that old enough to warrant that reaction.
I miss Jerry Orbach, Lenny Briscoe was one of my favourite L&O characters and Briscoe and Logan were the best cop duo in the series.
1:47 Deputy chief hank was also an ME. I like seeing old actors rehashed into law and order
Nice
The wry remarks are gems. Logan calling the archeologist "Indiana Jones." Michael Imperioli calling a locomotive engineer "Casey Jones".
he must get no business if he still has his book for the eighties still up and easily available to him for any random questions.
This is one of my favorite episodes "American Dream" from season 4 WHICH IS NOT AVAILABLE ON PEACOCK. The only L&O original series is season 13 on. Way to bait unsuspecting viewers, NBC .
The first body scene in the short cut scene is LOL bad guy with the glasses from goonies( Francis Fratelli)
Seeing the twin towers in the background of the older seasons/episodes, make me sad.
The botton lady is awesome.
"Mrs. Bones", the part 2 of this video, was published three years before this video, lol....
Money markets were at 16%?
Holy crow!
03:54 Obstructing justice will get you a select number.....around your neck.
What happens after??
Jerry Orbach (Lennie Briscoe) & Chris Noth (Mike Logan) the best detective team on Law & Order
So more than $300 a button yet a fake Rolex, interesting
Gigi... From The Sopranos 2:26
Why show us these episodes and promote them on peacock if we can’t watch them on peacock?
Cos it’s he’s RUclips he can do whatever he wants with it🙂gat a problem? Make yours🤷🏻♀️..you can’t go around thinking you can control anyone in getting your way… and lastly on cowards, weak and narcissist who always say “We” instead of “I”🙄

Really really inaccurate view of archaeologists
right ? where's the whip and cool hat ?
Spoilers please
It's the same episode as "Mr./Mrs. Bones".
oooohhhhhh prooofaacciii
Men never get blazer from wives…
Sherlock holmes could have had this case

Honestly if I was the Tailor I would ask them to come back with a warrant for the information. Private/Confidential information is kept private for a reason.
No client confidentiality in the Tailoring Market. They can also come back with City Auditors, Fire Department, etc. Get the picture?
Like he said, obstruction of justice would get him a number, or a real headache from every city agency.
@@hint0122 Depends on whether or not he has a confidentiality agreement with his clients. Violating that without a warrant could get the business sued. If he is willing to turn over information willy nilly then he risks losing business.
@@robertfergusson5367 Not worth the paper it is written on. Murder Investigation.
@@robertfergusson5367 not telling the cops could get him arrested and in prison. Plus, he's a tailor, not a doctor.
Ha ha Indiana Jones
First winging towards the people who 'mistakenly' dug up the corpse. And then whine against the ME
Do you think NY cops take dry quip classes?
It was a sad day when I grew up and realized how many illegal actions these cops make...
Like what?
Is that a joke@@mew10521 ? It's impossible to not know the crimes committed by cops daily at this point
I would file a complaint about these two a-hole cops. Arrogant, condescending. The archeologist had no way of knowing this was a crime scene and he did leave the skeleton in place. No need for these two to act like shits to the archeologist and the Pathologist. For the cops, this was a power thing.
I'm not sure why this channel keeps posting clips from episodes that they don't have on the app/platform! Season 4 is not on there. Only the more recent ones.
Lol, police work at its best. Grasping at straws, pounding the pavement, grumbling all the time.
better then ignoring a lead like a voodoo expert telling the cops the killer will return the head to the crime scene after it was used in a ritual. cops laugh it off and don't do a surveillance. turns out the expert was right and the killer returned the head to the crime scene. to this day the murder remains unsolved.
I don't get why the have to be so frickin rude.
S
I mean, why call the cops when you find bones on a dig? 9 times out of 10, probably not from a crime scene.
They legally have to
@@hint0122 And it usually freaks out the workers at the dig when they find human remains even when they are clearly ancient remains.
@Sapphirewingthefurrycritic • The bones had a Rolex watch. Most states/localities require reporting of deaths, corpses, etc. From the watch, the archeologists could tell these weren't ancient remains.
First at all🥰
I hate how they strongarm people into giving info and client lists, so unlawful.
You're right!!! Isn't that illegal?
They're always having Van Buren play the gender card. It's kinda sickening.
it's only sickening to a person who's heart is filled with hate
@@leelohaskin7941
The producers are abusing women here but unfortunately this somewhat advanced concept is not something that your limited cognitive ability can comprehend. I could try to explain, but would likely fail. As one can tell from your response that you've been programed to endorse radical feminism. In other words?
No intelligent life there.
people who think that are incapable of understanding that this show started in the 1990s and dont know the social climate
@@rileycantsleep “social climate” ah yes let’s continue to brush off sexism
How was she playing the gender card?
