@Nightwatch Soup sandwiches can at least taste good, if you get some thick buttered bread with some soup in the middle, just enough that the bread absorbs the soup and doesn't spill out onto you. It's the same kinda thing as dipping buttered bread into your soup. Tastes great. But non-alcoholic beer is far less satisfying. It's only really good for people not wanting to drink alcohol in social settings with those who do, and maybe a niche selection of people that like the bitter taste without wanting the drunk feeling/non-alcohol content at the same time. Honestly at that point I'd just say to have a mocktail or a soft drink, then at least you'd get something tasty.

There is no such thing as 100% alcohol free beer because of how it's processed (vacuum distillation of the alcohol from the beer). This beer still has up to .05% alcohol in it. The Qur’an describes different categories of foods, and alcohol falls under the category which is prohibited because it is harmful to the body, and that which is harmful to the body is harmful to the spirit. Thus, a drink that has ANY percentage of alcohol, regardless of how small, is not halal - lawful or permissible. It would be like cooking your meat in a pan that has just been used to prepare pork. And I do have a bit of experience with this because I'm a professional brewer with a degree in brewery engineering, and I run a brewery in AZ. Non-alcoholic beer isn't 100% non-alcoholic at all. They can "legally" say that it's non-alcoholic because it's under a certain limit, but technically and factually, it is not.

If you try beer for the first time you can love it or hate it. Some people eat lemons...
My German shepherd would sometimes eat a fallen lemon from the tree. She would bite it, shake her head and run away then she would come back for a bit more. This would go on for a couple of hours and she would froth at the mouth but she would always finish the lemon. But she absolutely, positively, refused to eat an olive.

It's the hops that makes the beer bitter.
