      Yea, related rates can be tricky but it’s usually the rate of a circle, triangle using similar triangles, or they give you the function that needs to be derived. You can do it

    Hey, so I took the exam and I thought it was fairly easy. Now keep in mind, I’m generally very good at math and plan and studying it in college. The MCQ section wasn’t too bad at all, but did require a lot of fundamentals from pre calculus. Nothing crazy happened there. If you’d like more details on what I thought were the hardest problems, I can tell you. The FRQ’s were also surprisingly easy. They were: looking at a table/rate accumulation, particle motion, graph of f’, slope field/diff equation, implicit diff equation, and area. The area problem was super easy. It was area between curves, revolving along y=20, and solid on a base that were rectangles. There were 0 integrals that required any U-Sub, 0 Theorems like MVT and IVT that came up, 1 inverse trigonometry problem, and that’s it!!!

    Hi, can anybody who both used ti-84 and nspire ii cx cas tell which one is better for the bc test. I got an nspire but since i dont know the difference between those two calculators i am not sure if i need to switch from nspire to ti-84. I see that a lot of people use ti-84 but i also heard that nspire is better. I am a little confused. Can anybody help?

    • @posatok273
      @posatok273 3 месяца назад +1

      I use an HP Prime but it still has CAS. The difference between the TI-84 and the TI Nspire II CX CAS is that the TI-84 can calculate definite integrals and derivatives at a point, whereas the TI Nspire can calculate indefinite integrals.
      I'd say TI Nspire CAS is better for BC since it has CAS and can solve derivatives and integrals, but I don't think it would give that much of an advantage.

      my teacher recommended Ti-84 plus ce bcos it draws better and more accurate graphs so I got it and guess what my graph drawing experience was better than my other classmates with ti nspire. I take calc BC and the test in 9 days😆yay

      Definitely nspire especially since cas solves algebra easily

      i have an nspire cas and i would def say ti-84. nspire is really menu heavy which can waste a lot of time. there's also a learning curve and you have to dedicate a few hours to learning how to use the calculator.

      @jsandov6  3 месяца назад

      Said, it’s hard to say what the format would be but I would focus on making sure you understand what they’ll be asking in each FRQ, for example: Graph Analysis they’ll ask about max/min, concavity, the FTC to find a specific value, etc.
      1. Rate Accumulation
      2, Table Questions
      3. Graph Analysis
      4. Particle Motion
      5. Area/Volume
      6. Slope Field/Diff Eq.

      and3154, check the mode in your calculator right now, it probably still has the same mode you used in the test. If you find the mode is in radians, chances are you were in radians during the test. Hope that makes sense.
