Word of advice for those reading and expecting: you bleed just as much when you have a cesarean as a vaginal birth. I say this because for some reason this caught me completely by surprise when I had my cesarean and was alarmed at the amount of blood because no one talks about that after a cesarean. Makes sense in retrospect because the placenta being removed either way causes a a giant open wound in your uterus.
Prayers for y’all and your medical team! I just had my most minimalistic delivery yet in July. Yay pandemic :/ One less thing to pack is pump, you won’t have to expose/ continually sanitize yours, the hospital grade medela they provide works great! My blood pressure check at my 37 week appointment got me a C-section scheduled two hours later for tanking platelets. 5th delivery, First C-section, first set of twins!
I can't imagine how you feel with a pandemic and going through this! My second was born at 35 1/2 weeks mine was blood pressure related though...the sent me straight to the hospital from the doctors office I was at risk of a heart attack or stroke...he was healthy though! I'm positive your little one will be just fine...thoughts and prayers and all the positive vibes your way mama! ❤❤❤
I've heard you can express colostrum before baby is born to feed to the baby since he'll be 36 weeks. You can call your doctor or contact the hospitals lactation consultant to double check to see if that would be a safe option for you.
I totally understand the missing out on the nesting. I actually delivered at 36 weeks after my water broke. I was not expecting to have a preemie. No complications though and I have a healthy baby boy. He isx5 weeks old and one week past my due date. Prayers to you for a safe delivery.
Something that was important for my 37 weeker was keeping her upright. I would prop up and hold her upright on my chest while taking postpartum rests and not lie flat while nursing. That pulling down on chin when they go in for a latch and then untucking top lip every time for tie issues

I was induced for 2 of my 4 babies, one was 5 weeks early, placenta decided that was enough Bub stopped growing, the second we lived to far from the hospital for the Dr to be confident we would make it in time..none of my births took longer that 2hrs 20 mins from first contraction to delivered... will be thinking of you 😘

We aren’t aloud to get out of our gown even in postpartum unit here. I wish sometimes you could get dressed and feel normal but they come in and check you all the time and don’t want any clothing on 😅 makes my hospital bag a lot lighter at least

Just in case you were never induced the contractions are more intense than natural don’t hesitate to use pain med or epidural
Would you wear a post partrum garment? ( waist trainer with Velcro ) I did and I was back in my jeans after 10 days !
