I'd say a potential reason to be rooting for the chiefs to win would be that the ravens defense is lacking in the absence of mike Mcdonald showing the value he brought and they're missing. Just a bit of a thought, not saying its gonna happen but ill definitely be watching.
I have small improvement for these videos (more relevant later in the season). For the games that we only care about the impact on Strength of Schedule there is a shorthand that allows you to root for playoff tiebreaks and draft tiebreaks at the same time (normally you want high SoS for playoffs and low SoS for draft). In playoff tiebreaks Strength of Victory is right before SoS. Since at least 2003 SoS has never been used to break a tie but SoV has a handful of times (including us missing the playoffs to the Packers last year). Strength of Victory = the Strength of Schedule of just the teams you have beaten. So you actually want high SoV and low SoS. This means we want teams we expect to beat (or have beaten) to win as much as possible and teams we expect to lose to (or have lost to) to lose as much as possible. An example: With a wk 3 loss to the Dolphins and a wk 8 win on the Bills, what is the preferred result to a wk 9 Bills Dolphins game? Since we play both there is no impact to our SoS (draft), but the Bills winning helps our SoV (playoff). This shorthand lets you sort out a preferred result on some low leverage games.
I love your rooting guides.
