That's what i call a wagon! I've always been a big ERF fan, loved driving them. I would have this beauty over any of these modern day things that they're making like cars to drive. Wish i could take it for a spin down memory lane. 👏💙👍
I built the cab frames for ERF, it was built in Northampton at Airflow Streamlines PLC ( closed now). I think I could still put one of these SP4a cab together today. This a beautiful truck.
Wow a 15,5 litre Gardner 6LYT In a single drive ERF E Series Mk-1 with the nice head lamps and metal bumper. You have a rarity, only other 6LYT i saw on the Rally circuit is a 6x4 Foden S-106 with Norde Hendrickson rubber suspension. Painted silver, a vertical stove pipe exhaust behind the cab on alloy wheels, on a 'C' plate 1986 and owned by a plant hire company.
I worked for a sister company to Rists, Newcastle under Lyme.....did the wiring harness for ERF..... check out the multi pin socket plugs, colour coded when he opens front radiator hatch.
That Lad Should Have Had More Manners After All That Work, he Probably Doesn’t Even Own A Bottle Jack I’ve A Manafold Here If You Want One. Don’t Bring Him To Anymore BBQ’s

Work that must have gone into that fantastic effort why the cameraman had to get a close up of the crack in the manifold I will never know.
Yess I'd love that 😍
Proper wagon
it's got odd wheels
E16 wasn't that fitted with a 320 gardener engine 🤔
I didnt even know ERF made an E16. What's the point in a16 litre pushing 320 when you could of just bought a E14 14 litre Cummins with 465 hp?
Rare ec15 also cat engined
