Thank you for your comments. The participants of the video were asked about their 'perception' of the way LGBT people were portrayed to them when they were young. Caricatures and stereotypes were, and still are, quite common place. There is of course nothing wrong or bad about masculinity or femininity only the negative ways in which they are often presented which is what we were trying to convey.
Thank you for the wonderful video! Everyone video helps!
Why the hell do the police have a gay club. Is that what tax payers money goes on. Nobody cares what team you bat for. Just do your job.
+MrWolfman1977 We do our job in exactly the same way as anyone else does. We are not a 'club'. We ensure equality and human rights legislation are being applied and offer support should an individual experience prejudice.
How about you 2 shut up if you font care why watch it the title tells you exactly what there talking about. Its equality and love is love.
Chloe Stephen if they didn't care, would they comment? Also telling someone to "shut up" for giving an opinion doesn't seem very equivalent. On the subject nor does creating a force souly for the purpose of "equality". Especially if its a specific group of officer's to any personal orientation. Will all police forces now create separate units for religion and race? If not then why for the LGBT community? again not very equivalent. Love and god bless.
What an encouraging and lovely video. The involvement of serving police helps to make it more real and connected with the real world as the police force should be. I have to admit that to an Australians ear, some of the accents were very difficult to understand. They were very cute and a bit sexy, if the truth be told. So I'm glad there were captions to enable. A very good video. Well done.
You should never be treated any less for who you are. To the people in this video, thank you for giving me hope.
Respect to the officers in this video for taking part in it! , and for highlighting how wrong stereotyping is! Keep up the good work! :)
Thank you so much for this video! It's great to see lgbt people in the police force reaching out to scottish youths. I can also say as a lesbian living in Scotland that is does get better, so for anyone struggling out there, stay strong!
I don't get the point of this, what difference does it make what gender you fancy with work, no disrespect or anything.
JorRob001 Indeed, it shouldn't matter. The video is about individuals sharing their experiences of being LGBT i.e. the reality.
It's important that idiots learn that the people that keep them safe can also be lgbt
+Gay Police Association Scotland so I want to be a police officer and I'm bisexual so that won't stop me from applying and will I be treated any differently
+teri hackett In an ideal world, no-one should be treated 'differently' because of their sexual orientation, race, gender and so on. There is no guarantee that you won't ever face prejudice. That applies to any workplace environment. What you can be assured of is that GPA Scotland, as an organisation, is there for all LGB staff working for the police in Scotland and has a zero tolerance position when it comes to any act of discriminatory behaviour, as does Police Scotland.
+Gay Police Association Scotland thank yiy
