    Thank you Pixar !
    5:22 to 5:45 : it's so beautiful, and i cried, full of happiness for the story of this Pixar employee.
    i'm a french guy, and now we've got the law which approove the gay marriage in my country.
    But to vote it, it was terrible : we spent 6 months of homophobic manifestations in the street of Paris, and other french cities. It hurted when you watched the tv news, seeing all this public hate against gays, lebians and trans.
    Ok, it gets better, but we must remenber that we've got to fight daily for our rights.
    Thank you to all the Pixar employees.

    ive made a "it gets better" video over on my channel, but its important that everyone understands how precious their life is and how beautiful you ALL are. everyone is different in many ways, no two people exactly the same when it comes down to their thoughts. but life is worth living, and no matter what it is important for people to realise that you can write your own chapter in your book, dont let other people write it! life is what YOU make of it! :)

    It's so fundamental need to feel that you are being loved, and your need to give love in return. And it hurts like hell when there is an emptiness, that void in you when it's not possible, when there is absense of love from your life. 5:22 speaks to me so well. This video is truly inspiring and amazing. I have always struggled with being a lesbian and for most of my life, I thought that there was no one else like me and that I'd end up alone. I came out when I was in seventh grade, and it got me a lot of support, but a lot of hate as well. In sixth grade, I went to a private school and practically everyone there were homophobic extremists. Every day I heard about how gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgenders were going to rot in Hell and suffer immense pain. It made me scared of myself. I thought I was a mistake, and that it was wrong. But it's videos like these that remind me that no matter what I go through, there is still hope, and someday I will find a girl that will love me, and that I will have the job I've always wanted. Anyone who is going through some sort of challenge in their life, no matter what it is, deserves hope to overcome those problems. Because if we hold on to our hope, and we put in a little bit of determination, we can succeed in life and find the place where we belong :) Thank you, Pixar, and all the supportive people who give me the hope to move forward.

    Hi guys. Plenty of people won't see this, and it'll probably get lost in a flurry of negative, homophobic idiots who don't know real love when it's right in their face. I just want you to know that I would never, ever even consider your sexuality when I judge or think about you. Who you choose to love, who you choose to fuck is completely your business, and the fact that there are people who think there are justified in ripping that right away from you appalls me. Know you always have an ally in me, and I will never stop supporting LGBTQ rights and defending the gay community until the world accepts that LOVE IS LOVE, no matter who it's between.

I am really trying but I don't want to be with guys I want to be with girls. It's not fair that I have to have this "problem". I want to be happy about it and I am tired of trying to be "straight" or bi so that I can relate to talking about boobs and stuff. I wish gets better now so we wouldn't have had to deal with it.

      I truly know how you feel. Just wanting to be one of the guys. This changed for me when I realised that I am still one of them. I still do everything they do. We play Xbox, work together, go to town and help each other pick up. I am no different to the rest of them other than who I go home with and neither are you. I understand how you feel. My friends always talk about hot guys and six packs, but I feel left out because I'm lesbian. Long story short, you like what you like. If you like girls, go ahead and feel free to be with them. If you like boys, you don't have to force yourself to be straight just to relate to other people or fit in. My friends are not like me at all, but I know that being different is even better than being normal. Diversity is what makes us beautiful, and you should never feel ashamed to be who you are.

    Don't misunderstand me, I don't in anyway condone beating up or harassing gay people. But where are my rights? Why can't i practice my religion outside the church?

    • @merchillio
      @merchillio 10 лет назад +15

      Why do you go right to the bedroom? Newsflash: everytime you walk down the street with your wife or girlfriend, you're telling people you're heterosexual. Everytime someone asked how was your weekend and you say "me and my gal went to the restaurant" you're telling people you're heterosexual. I have a picture of my wife on my desk at work, but because I'm straigth, no one is telling me to stop shoving my sexual preferences down their throat. You don't see how priviledge we straight people are.
      This video was not about sex or "what's going on in the bedroom", it was about people driven to the edge of suicide by people telling them their life isn't worth it. As long as kids will be scared of being thrown out of teh house because they discovered they were not attracted to the people their parents would have wanted to, videos like that are extremely importants.
      You want the right to express your religion as long as everybody else shut up. Freedom of speech is not a shield against criticism.

    • @Joker11297
      @Joker11297 10 лет назад +1

      Jean-Dominic Lapointe good point, but straight folks aren't having straight pride day or forcing gay marriage on people who don't want it.

    • @patrickhandley627
      @patrickhandley627 10 лет назад +5

      When one persons rights infringe on the rights of another person it becomes a problem for the law to sort out. when it is found that an entire group of peoples rights are being infringed upon by another group of peoples right it becomes a question of what is in the best interest of everyone and not just the ones who are currently protected by the law. Then the law is modified to rectify the problem that is putting certain people into the role of second-class citizens. And yes there are going to be people who are comfortable with the old way who will resist change. But if you think about what is being asked for you will realize that you already have it, and your sexuality and way of living is thrown at us from day one with out any consideration for whether or not that is what we want to look at. The media more often than not shows Sex between men and woman, Men and woman's relationships,this is portrayed on the television as normal.
      So you complain that we are throwing our beliefs in your face when you've been free to and have done the same thing to us for decades. You've been forcing your views on me since I was born and you've told me that I must accept it. I do think that it will get better for you when you stop seeing this movement for equality as a problem and when you start instead seeing it as normal. I don't condone the beating up of heterosexual people but where are my rights? you have had your rights since day one. We have had to struggle for ours. And as for why you can't practice your religion outside of the church, well that's just it You can practice your religion outside of the church but when your belief desires to harass and hurt others then it becomes a problem. The terrorists who suicide dive bombed the world trade center are certainly an example of people practicing their beliefs publicly but it is no question in your mind as to why they should not be allowed to. If you examine your own beliefs and start to look at where they deny other people their rights it will become abundantly clear as to why you cannot practice some of your beliefs outside of your church.

    I am Christian. My (now) daughter is transgender. God made her that way and she is loved so much. She nearly killed herself two years ago. She is now at University and has found people who love her. It does get better and Jesus loves you for who you are, not who others want or expect you to be. This video made me cry.

    These videos do the heart good. For some like me who've lost parents or tragedy has happened hearing the stories of people who overcame pain and hardship to realize their dreams is inspiring

    I also love that they are humans just like rest of us, and not ripped and jacked half gods with the looks of a super model. This vid gave me so much hope.

    It's so great that you are supporting your daughter. I am glad a stuck around, because it does get better. I've met some wonderful people, I started my degree at university, and just the other week i saw the first steps for gay marriage being legalised here in the UK. Life all in all is fantastic right now, and i know it's going to get even better! And I have Pixar to thank for a lot of this, not to mention my wonderful friends and family

    I'm in tears. When I watched this I went right back to my 13 year old self, feeling absolutely scared and alone. I can't imagine what I would have said if this had been around then, but I know what I want to say now.
    Thank you, so much, to anyone who is part of this. Whether it's making a video, sharing a video, or taking a pledge to be there for those who need it. This world can seem so large and empty, but because of this we can connect to each other in love and safety.
    Best Wishes c:

    Thanks for the video, it actually made me cry, to think of everything I've gone through and to think that my life IS GETTING BETTER. If I watched it a couple years ago, I wouldn't believe it, but if you're reading this and you aren't ok with yourself, believe it, it does get better. What matters is to be who you are, to do the things you enjoy and to find the right people to be with you. Ignore the wrong ones, they aren't worth your time. Just be happy, cause you deserve it!
