Hi Lynn! I was finally able to identify my cactus as Chamaelobivia after watching your video. I did not know it was a hybrid! No wonder all the pictures I saw of chamaecereus did not exactly look like my cactus. Thanks for helping me identify my cactus. I cannot wait to see it bloom! Best wishes to you and Hans.
Thats brilliant news you was able to ID your cactus :-D there are so many different hybrids of Chamacereus it can be confusing :-D and I bet yours will be blooming beautiful in the near future, thanks so much for your wonderful comments and support and for watching and sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a wonderful day XXXX
Good grief, I can’t take my eyes off that Parodia magnifica behind the lovely Chamaecereus 😮
The Parodia magnifica is a big beauty I agree Carol :-D I have had this cactus for many years about 25 years and I bought it as a tiny little tot plant haha :-D but the arrangement of the golden hairs on the areoles are a wonderful pattern, thanks so much for your wonderful comment and sending tons of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a fantastic day today XXXXX
Hi Lynnie! Another beauty in the garden! The flowers are truly incredible. I love how you spoke about the difference between the one in bloom and the chamacereus. I now think I might actually have one of the chamacereus Lobivias a friend got me. Very useful information and I thank you so much for sharing it with us Lynnie. From the garden city of India to the Emerald Isle, have a fantastic week! Cheerio!
So happy you love this beauty Carl :-D its a blooming stunner haha :-D thanks so much for your wonderful comments and support and for watching and sending you an abundance of love and happiness and PLANT POWER from across the Emerald Isle to the Garden City of India and have a wonderful Monday XXXXX

Beautiful flowers! .. Oh, what is that barrel cactus behind it with short white spines? It looks elegant.
Thank you so much Ana :-D the barrel cactus is a Echinocereus grusonni but its one of the short thicker spined varieties, I bought it last year from kakteenhaage.nursery online from Germany :-D I loved the spines on it haha :-D thanks so much for your wonderful comment and for watching and sending you an abundance of love and happiness and PLANT POWER from across the Emerald Isle to Nevada for a wonderful weekend ahead XXXXX
Oh thank you. That is a nice one. 🙂
How old is the plant in flower?
Hi Jack :-D I have had this plant only a year as its one of my newer additions but it is possible about 10 years old as these plants are slow growing from seed, thanks so much for watching and sending you an abundance of love and happiness and PLANT POWER from across the Emerald Isle for a wonderful weekend ahead XXXXX
Do you keep your plants in the polytunnel over winter?
Hi :-D Yes I keep the majority of them in the polytunnel over Winter but some of the other plants like some of the Euphorbia's and Pilocereus and other delicate plants I overwinter inside the house. I keep the Polytunnel at a minimum winter temperature of 5c / 41F and the heater will come on if the temperature drops below this :-D I keep most of them totally dry over Winter too. thanks so much for your wonderful comment and for watching and sending you an abundance of love and happiness and PLANT POWER from across the Emerald Isle for a wonderful weekend ahead XXXXX
