I bought the Merlin Gable WP from you all a couple of months ago and love it! I sized up because I wear a Knox Urban underneath and it's insanely comfortable and accommodating. Excellent wind-blocker, as well. Outstanding video (as always)!

My Gold Top Bobber black is the best jacket I’ve ever been fortunate to buy. The armour fits perfectly as well as the back board so you don’t know ones fitted. As good as any any Lewis jacket and half the cost and made in Britain as well.

I agree with all the Goldtop comments, Goldtop oozes quality and it feels like a special occassion when I slip on my Cafe Racer version I got from you. I've had lots of jackets and i'm instinctivly super fussy so would recommend having tried on others...

Out of all the jackets in this line up, RSD and Merlin are by far the best looking jackets . Ronin I already have and use all the time in the spring and summer. Now I need tu buy Merlin Gable for the colder, rainy days. It’s a perfect jacket for the colder two seasons.

It's funny, I have the clash and do love it, BUT, and this is a big but, it is THICK. The flexibility is not there. As purely a riding jacket, it's great. It's when you went to wear it out on a night in the town where it's motorcycle utlity really gets in the way. You'll never play a game of darts wearing it. even sitting in a chair can be cumbersome.
That's the exact reason why I'm picking up the Belstaff Cheetham. I want the look and actually be able to wear it out casually. If I'm spending over $500 for any jacket, you better believe I wanna wear it all the time.
Great video, guys! Love your content.

This is my first visit to UR, and I'm a bit disappointed I didn't see a jacket with a larger collar, perhaps even thin-fur or fleece lined. I always appreciate inside pockets to keep notes or even a small wallet. Otherwise, nicely done. I learned a thing or two, and that ain't bad.

Fantastic recommendations and review. I might grab the goldtop.
I think that Belstaff only went for A-rating just so they can sell the jacket as a motorcycle jacket. There's limited point for them in getting that AA/AAA bc it will probably most definitely pass. Their aim is probably to sell more stylish gear that are protective and not to be known as the most protective type of gear.

Goldtop looks amasing, and can give real protection for rider, but.. This red detail is so awful, it ruins all design.

Is the armor included in the Belstaff Cheetham from D3O ? I've seen in older videos that it's not so I wanted to buy D3O armor alongside with it, but on Belstaff's website it states that it is equipped with D3O armor. I've been looking to grab the jacket on your website but now I'm not sure on whether I would have to buy D3O armor to go with it or not (I'm talking about shoulder and elbow protection btw).

Stuart Clurman makes the best bike jackets I have ever owned. He uses very heavy horsehide and his range of vintage designs will suit almost any application. They are not inexpensive but, they're so well made that you'll only need one.

Still looks good broken in, but the first summer was the best in terms of appearance. Any fading issues on the Ronin?

Hey guys, £400! Affordable! What world do you live in? Have a warrior jacket, dickies gloves and grafter dealer boots and look as cool as a cucumber. Hotter day? Thinner socks. Happy days.

    • @NajidHajee
      @NajidHajee 2 года назад +7

Not sure what a warrior jacket is, but the other stuff listed is offering virtually no protection. Won’t look so cool when you go searching for your foot with a hand that’s had all it’s tiny little bones shattered. Leather (or whatever other quality materials used) aside, there’s a reason moto gear is expensive; it’s built for to fulfill a particular purpose. Your Dickie’s gloves aren’t made for much more than saving you from a couple splinters

My dad used to ride until he had an accident a couple months after I was born that injured his wrists, which at that point he made the decision to stop riding, because if anything were to happen to him my mom would have to parent two kids. That accident later lead to him having a repetitive wrist strain injury from working as a mechanic. He had to go to rehab and relearn how to do tasks as simple as writing to be able to keep wrist strain minimal. He had to go back to school and totally change careers, and to this day still has to be careful with his wrists, but you'd never know he had a repetitive wrist strain injury looking at him now and is able to use his hands, not because he said "Nah that stuff is expensive I'll just wear this" but because he took safety seriously. Had he not, I either wouldn't have a dad or he wouldn't be able function enough to have a job or do really anything with his hands. The price of safety is worth it vs what you'd pay in an accident. So take it seriously and wear the best gear you can buy.

I don't know what it translates into pounds but I paid $600 us for my jacket and I was just hit by a car and believe me it saved me I got a broken wrist and totaled my motorcycle. I have been wearing the jacket for 3 years now and even after the accident it looks fine. It's made by Fox Creek Leather. But hey it's your money and your skin save your money your skin will grow back.

After Brexit it's quite impossible to buy motorcycle's items from the UK to EU, too much expensive (double VAT), taxes , GBP/Euro bad exchange, Custom's Rights and a lot of time to wait for delivery. GoldTop is a very good brand (bought excellent gloves) and Belstaff is one of the best Brand for sure. Sorry, but we must leave there in UK. Final costs are unacceptable.
