An American Treasure.I could listen to Chip speak for hours. He IS the real thing. Not a bit egotistical or jaded. Humble and honest like the best dad or mum or uncle you could hope to have.
He made me smile all the way through that interview. He's one of those very special people in Music. I hope he never changes videographers either. The guy with the camera understands what Chip Taylor is talkin about in his songs in a deeper spiritual sense.
This man is a genius! His interview was so inspiring..always hit record even if you don't think it's good..."singing for mom brought me back to music" Amen me too!!
Amazing that Chip Taylor wrote the Troggs Wild Thing. I didn't realize that until just recently! What a great song to have written, seminal as they say. And then like 50 years or more later he comes up Angel of the morning and with Fuck all the Perfect People. Now that is some seriously authentic and undeniable talent, insight, inspiration and longevity and speaks to me of a highly superior mind and spirit. Very rare indeed for a song writer's career to span 5 decades and keep up that level of quality output. I"m seriously impressed. I would love to put a lap steel track on some of his tunes, including Wild Thing...i bet i could and would blow chip's mind because though i play an instrument widely used in county, i.e. steel guitar (primarily) my sound is also quite unique and psychedelic at times and my tone always golden and/or nasty as can be if i want it to be :) Fuck it,..i'm going to do it,,..record some lap steel overdubs and send them to the man. It has been written; it shall be done.
I love his newer stuff, like "Fuck All The Perfect People” and "Merry F’n Christmas.” The material he put out with Carrie Rodriguez is also excellent, I especially like “Don’t Speak In English.” The two of them also recorded a new version of "Angel of the Morning” (which was originally written and recorded in 1967, only two years after “Wild Thing”) as a duet in 2004. There is a lovely acoustic live version they performed in 2016. ruclips.net/video/b0kTFXu50fY/видео.html This little song he performed with John Prine is also wonderful. ruclips.net/video/90mOsoOySw4/видео.html

🍻👏❤.
I like some of his songs a LOT, and others not at all 🤷♀️
That's probably true of almost all artists even the ones that aren't just overproduced and over marketed tripe to begin with ?
Chip Akbar
???
Settle down bro...
Baba Jabber...chill out bro..don't like his music..check out something else.
@@jimmywalker920 Why would you say he doesn’t like his music? Chip Akbar literally means Chip is great, or Chip the great.
You wasted 15 seconds of your 15 seconds in the Intro Chip ;-)
