    You say it may not actually be teaching, just your workflow, but it most definitely is. Thank you so much. You say everything very clear and tell us exactly how you’re making things.
    I find your tutorials the best for me learning inkstitch. Again, many thanks.

      Thank you so much. I almost didn't release this one thinking it didn't bring much to the table. With your kind words I'm glad I followed through. ❤️

    Kind of off-topic, but what does this type of logo digitization cost? Not in market for it but would love to know what people pay to get a logo digitized.

    • @LowTechLinux
      @LowTechLinux  Год назад +1

      We charge a one time fee of $25 for digitizing something like this but we are also stitching it out. A stand alone digitizing would probably be more.

    I love the way you digitalize the logo. Could you please tell me what needle do you use (measure and brand) and the thickness of the yarn that you use. keep going with the videos. Regards

      We only use standard 75/11 steel sharps and 40 wt Madeira poly-neon thread.

    What is the point of the running stitch from the middle of the top of the T to the left edge? Is it to lead to the left edge to then begin the top of the T without a large jump stitch?

    • @LowTechLinux
      @LowTechLinux  Год назад +1

      Yes, it's to avoid jump stitches and trims.

      Last night, I incorporated this technique of creating a running stitch to join 5 areas of fill, and I routed the running stitch beneath where a satin would be placed later in the logo and it seems to work perfectly! Now I don’t need the machine to slow down to tie off those 5 fills separately! Appreciate learning that technique from you and your video!! Thank you again!

      Excellent. Less chance of something going wrong as well.

    Request: Have you done a tutorial to show options for when the column is too small for a satin stitch? Thanks to you, I'm getting pretty good at this. p.s. Are you related to Bob Ross? 😁

      You can make a satin column bigger just by increasing the pull compensation in params. This will increase it's width from the center line out equally on both sides
      You can also try using inkstitch > satin tools > convert satin to line. Going by memory and don't remember exactly how it's worded. Then change your line thickness and convert the line back to a satin column.

      Don't give up. If there's a specific thing you need help with I'll try to help. If you scroll back in time on my inkstitch playlist there's a few beginner guides that might help.

    The very, very beginner in me wants to ask: If you already have the logo as a graphic, why would you not render it as an SVG, import it, and then convert it to a stitch file? I'm sure there's an obvious answer of which I am not aware. TIA

    • @LowTechLinux
      @LowTechLinux  Год назад +1

      The best text embroidery is a satin stitch, trace bitmap only gives fills unless you do center line trace which doesn't work well for text. So, that leaves manually creating the text as satin lines. A little extra effort on digitizing with inkstitch makes a much better result.
