What I liked about camp rock is that the music is like something you don’t ever listen to anymore. It’s a genre of pop rock that is gone. And I miss it
Ok, y'all absolutely have to watch the sequel. The Jonas bros are each far more important to the plot, and the songs continue to be complete bops. It's definitely more cringey in some ways but still so fun.

Happy to see you're back! Unrelated to Camp Rock but the way I had never heard of Garrick before this podcast, to now being excited when I noticed him in a commercial for Single Drunk Female was so crazy. Also that dog is one of the cutest I've seen omg, they deserve everything and more
i absolutely didn't realize how much i missed this podcast until now, I am so happy!!! a fun fact: selena gomez was supposed to be mitchie but she rejected it (also probably the reason why she would've had the same mom as in wowp) and she allegedly recommended demi for the part. (honestly, it would have been a lot more dramatic because see: she was actually already dating *nick* ).
I was so so so obsessed with the JoBros and Camp Rock came out on Disney Channel ON my 12th birthday and my bff threw me a Camp Rock bday party 😭. It was the best day of my life and it felt like it was a personal gift handed to me from the loves of my life. As like ✨cringy✨ as Camp Rock is now, I can still sing every word to every song and it brings me so much unironic joy

Omg y’all should watch “Camp” from 2003. It’s based at a theatre camp, and Anna Kendrick (in her film debut I believe) plays a character who is probably the best character in the film. It also has some fun musical performances.
