    Just an additional tip, for some people, after you click on "Open File Location", you'll reach the folder where the shortcut is located and not the actual installation folder. You need to repeat the step there; just right click on the Shortcut and click "Open File Location" again, then you'll reach the application in the actual installation folder, then copy its path and go ahead with the process.

      @@societycrumbles Alright, let me explain it in a more conversational manner:
      When you're trying to open a file and can't find it in the usual way, first, make sure you've located the file in your explorer. Once you've got it, go up to the bar at the top - you know, the one that shows the file's address. Copy that address.
      Now, don't just paste it directly. Here's the trick: use the "Browse" button, don't skip this part. When the popup shows up, paste the address you copied into the location address field. Click around until you see the application you're after, then hit "Open." Voila! That should do the trick. thank me later

    • @samarpitshrivastavaofficial
      @samarpitshrivastavaofficial 7 месяцев назад

      @@societycrumbles Usually when you open the file location for the listing in the start menu, you reach this location - C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs.
      I am not sure as to why you can't get the "Open file location" on right clicking the shortcut there.
      Try opening the properties box for the shortcut and you'll find the actual location in the "Target" and/or "Start in" field depending on the Windows version you are using.

    • @societycrumbles
      @societycrumbles 7 месяцев назад

      @@samarpitshrivastavaofficial I figured it out after I wrote this and it seems my software is working again - I managed to just uninstall the "genuine software" notification, hopefully my photoshop will not get disabled.
      Thank you for replying, though, I will save it for future reference!

    Just in case anyone else made the same goof as me, I found that I was actually blocking a program shortcut and not the .exe file itself! The icon in the program files is just a shortcut. blocking only Acrobat.exe does not work, it shows "Sorry! This Adobe App is not available" error message.
    To fully work you also need to block internet access of ""C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\acrocef_1\AcroCEF.exe"" file in Firewall too.
    After blocking Inbound and outbound internet access to both Acrobat.exe and AcroCEF.exe, this problem is solved.

    At first i thought the method doesn’t work as well, but IT DOES. Your issue is probably copying the file location.
    My exe file is in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2023. And this is exactly what i get when i copy the path.
    BUT that doesn’t include the actual exe file. Once you paste it in the field, hit “\” and a few options will show up in the dropdown menu. Find the exe file, in my case “photoshop.exe” and click it.
    As the path is now complete you may now proceed. Once you do it in the Inbound Rules and in the Outbound Rules, it will be fine.
    Works for all the adobe programs.
    Thank you to Loxyo Tech!

    for does who had tried this and doesn't work, is because if you have another antivirus you need to block the internet access through that firewall, however if you have free stuff like Bitdefender then you cannot block the firewall access, and other antiviruses like AVG or avast are trash that slows you PC, so you better option is either getting the free trials of bit or just uninstalling and use windows defender.

    You also have to disable it in the rules in the antivirus, because if you have an antivirus up there it will take over the firewall rules.

I thought it was a file problem because the same method worked for my Illustrator 2024, but not for my Photoshop 2022. However, once I turned my private and public firewall on, it worked! I had previously turned it off.
      It's kind of weird because it works for Illustrator 2024 when the private and public firewall is off, but not for Photoshop.

    Can you block all Adobe? I purchased the perpetual license and they keep trying to open as CC even thought they were installed from old disk. They don't offer and I don't want any updates for PS or LR or anything in the suite. Can you just block inbound and outbound of the parent folder C:\Program Files\Adobe\ without doing each program?

    If you don't block the real .exe file but the shortcut version then the warning will still show itself

    Can someone explain what a "Adobe app" is?? Never heard of an Adobe app or what it is for. What does the Adobe app do? I don't really use "programs" on my computer besides Word, Firefox, and iTunes for PC. They give the option to Shop Offers, but it doesn't send you to anything useful, just some pictures and explanation of basically why someone would want a genuine app, vs non-genuine. What the hell does the Adobe app do??

  • @SergSpace
    @SergSpace 9 месяцев назад

    Firewall rules DO NOT WORK. Internet disabling works, but it's until you enable it. If to Disable "Adobe Genuine Software Monitor Service" in Services this window stops to pop up. But Again. At some point this "Adobe Genuine Software Monitor Service" turns on by itself 🤷‍♂and second time disabling it doesn't stop this window from pop up. Will see if this Firewall rules + disabling "Adobe Genuine Software Monitor Service" together will help.
