    One month after I came to this country I had the incredible honor of meeting the great man in the very very early morning at Midway airport. He was wearing a dark red sweater and grey sweat pants smoking a cigar. It was just Mr. Cosby and I. He started talking and we had such a wonderful conversation. at La Guardia I am waiting for my luggage and a hand lies on my shoulder. Mr Cosy coming over inviting me to the Cosby show.To this day I admire and love Mr. Cosby, my wife , boys and I still watch the re runs. Mr Cosby you are partly responsible for my families success. I thank you for that.

    I'm a white Gen Xer and I've been a fan of Bill Cosby since I watched Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids when I was a kid. That show taught some really good values. What a pity today so many people mistake Bill Cosby's ideas of responsibility and respect for racism. Bill Cosby IS a genius and I'd like to shake his hand and tell him "Thank you for what you've done. For helping me grow up into a respectful law-abiding person."

    Bill Cosby is great! I had his Why Is There Air album as a kid, must have played it a few thousand times, we felt fortunate to have an old mono record player and 3 lps. The man has been a great influence on all our lives. He's brilliant, he's knowledgable, he's experienced, he has something to share in words, best listen up!

    Man, that is very inspiration what you wrote on your comment. That is another example of what Dr. Cosby was stating in his book, "Come On People." Your family overcame so many things, and never made no excuses.

    Words have power whether you acknowledge their power or not. They're not just meaningless syllables; if they were we wouldn't be able to understand each other.

    Whatever happened to "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"? We need to get back to God. Then we will be better parents. Camille Cosby stood by her children while, you Mr. Cosby, were living in the Playboy mansion a thousand miles away. Lead by example Mr. Cosby. I remember when you were self-involved and cared little about your own family. Give your own testimony of how you neglected your own children. The truth is powerful.

    Mr. Rogers once said "last night, did you talk with the people you love about the things you wonder about?"
    I had students who said they NEVER spoke to their parents about their concerns, and the parents had no idea of their kids' hobbies, interests, etc.
    I was subpoenaed in my worst students' parents divorce case. I testified that I'd never met the father and had no number to contact him with.
    The father admitted that he didn't know his son's teachers names, nor the name of his son's DOCTOR!

There are so many in this world that believe the lies that are told daily, so totally absorbed with these lies that when the TRUTH is spoken they CAN NOT BELIEVE - - what a shame! "Right-On" Bill "Right-On"

    @calvinlove0 "i disagree, i think it treats everyone like your they're best friend because your open to swear in front of them."
    Well you may disagree, but I consider those who have repsect for me enough not swear when they are with me, as my friend. Feeling comfortable is different than being loose and disrespectful in my percpetion of friendship.
    "Words only hold as much power as you give them.'
    And, when there is no power left to express, you fill the blanks with swear words.

    This is video really hits home. I've met many parents that shouldn't be parents. I've seen many teenage girls who had babies before they were a freshman in high school, and their personality are still children. Parents should definitely teach their children morals and life lessons instilled in them.

      When he was pushing for women's equality on the Cosby Show, he was the feminazis' "boy."
      As soon as he realized his error and started speaking his mind, those same women who supported rapist-in-chief Bill Clinton sent Cosby to "the back of the bus."
      My mom was right! A woman's birth-canal really DOES have teeth.

    my grandma had 15 kids, they were poor. and i know because i traveled the world all my life and i've seen poor. my mother, now a diplomat, didn't own shoes till she was in the 6th grade. however, all kids had to have straight A's, get up and do farm chores, take care of the babies, with 15 kids some were grown while some were still babies of course. they all grew up to be doctors and lawyers, ministers, politicians. not one is destitute or on drugs. and i'm black. :)

    that said, for example, will never be an idiot in front of my grandparents, i would be told off in an instant and that would be right thing to do. i've often argued with people, using harsh words and i know im judged accordingly. but they pass their critique to ME, not my wordings. i respect those folks for that, because thats a civil thing to do. summary= do what you will but dont expect to be taken seriously if you go all.... silly.

    The most disturbing part of this speech, to me, is the fact that people actually had the nerve to call him Racist, anti-Black, anti-kid, and so much more.
    Very very sad. He hits the nail right square on the head. Instead of admitting that he's 1000% right on, they deny the truth, and resort to name calling.

  • @Fussinated
    @Fussinated 14 лет назад

    @calvinlove0 Because, it either reflects poor mental judgment due to lack of ability to define something with clarity -because we think with concepts and words should refer to those concepts. Or, this reflects a disrespect to others that don't give credit to whether the other side needs it or not in seriousness.

    Well, every kid is different. Some kids you can just give "the look" and they crumble. Some kids will stare you down and say "what else you got?" and that is when you need to bring the rod to bear on their backside. I have one of each and believe me, I did parent in every other way until the defiance was blatant. The world "spanks" us with much harsher consequences later on down the road, such as fines, jail, firing from jobs, etc. A swat on the behind with a lot of teaching is not evil.

    When we give our children or any group of people, too much stuff without any responsibility, it creates resentments. We have generations of Americans who are children, dependent upon the government and feeling resentful and victimized. As they should be, because we are refusing them the chance to grow up and become fully human.

    meh i kinda get where ur coming from, but i think its more important for people to judge others not by how they talk or how they look, but by what they can deliver. Words are only as powerful as we make them, fuck is just a word and if i was the big man in an office space i wouldn't care how my employees talked as long as they could deliver

  • @dovie2blue
    @dovie2blue 15 лет назад

    Whatever happened to parenting? We became afraid of hurting our children's self-esteem and we stopped hurting their behinds when they did wrong! Then again, what happened to WRONG?? There is right and wrong! It's in God's word.

  • @somberlight
    @somberlight 15 лет назад

    even a pointlessly harsh self-expression is good if its what you really are. if we arent free to act true to ourselves, what point is there? words per se have no meaning, its the all in the actions that drives them which is always relative to the situation at hand. the sad part is that things almost always go horribly wrong when some people start being offended on others behalf. consider the "cusser" daft as a brush if you will but dont think less of his/her humanity - that would be silly

  • @somberlight
    @somberlight 15 лет назад

    then again, if you (well... if one) cant look past the made mistakes, its not the biggest problems. bfainfarts happen, its life. they will never be forgotten but will eventually be forgiven. misteeq has a point, you speak with a bitterness of one.

  • @calvinlove0

    I challenge you to listen to only gospel or Christian music for 30 days and tell me the difference words make to you. Zig Ziglar quotes, "Sticks and stones will break my bones but words will kill me." He's right. Attack, kill, murder, behead, mame, disable; words. Not profane, but much worse in their meaning than many curse words. Fine to use when in context; not otherwise. Same as curse words. There is no context where a curse word is proper. It is a base expression of immaturity.
