  • Guten tag! In this video, I went step by step explaining the process of building a homemade scuba tank. All the materials can be found at any hardware store, Home Depot, Lowes, or even Walmart. If you can conserve your air enough, you can stay underwater for about 7 minutes! If you get a bigger tank you can even stay under for 10 to 15 minutes! I'm sorry for that people that have been asking for this video since last August. I promise I'll be sticking back to my regular upload schedule. If you guys have any video ideas, just leave them in the comments below. Enjoy.
    ------PLEASE READ------
Scuba diving is very dangerous and anything bad can happen. If you decide to build this projects, I advise that you dive in shallow waters, no deeper than 10 feet, and that you are with a friend or family member. Better yet, just go get a rectified scuba diving license so you know the dangers of scuba diving. This is an educational video. Build this at you own risk and I'm not reliable or responsible for any injuries that occur. Please be safe while build this.

Fantastic work, Jack! So impressive, and really cool that you could demonstrate how it works using your tub. I can’t wait to see the next project!

I think it's an awesome project but please build it at your own risk. Scuba diving can be very dangerous and another person commented that with this type of scuba device, you breathe in too much nitrogen or some other atmospheric gas which can cause some serious health problems. Love your comment bro but please be safe!

Can you try make diving helmet by combining with your scuba tank for test experiment without the hose surface

Great idea. This was actually the 4th scuba tank that I built and I’ve built one similar to your idea in the past but it failed. In the future, I’ll definitely try to make another one that’ll just strap to your back with a larger tank for more time under water.

For this version, no. I do want to build one that is similar to a regular scuba set up.

I'm a rescue diver with more than 1000 dives and it really sucks having to risk your own life to try and save someone who was being really stupid in the first place. What you are doing is exceptionally dangerous and you should stop, you are asking for very bad things to happen. It's just not fair to the people around you, people who will be sad when you die, or worse. Think of your mom, think of your girl-friend, think of the poor bastard that will have to recover your body. Diving is not a good area to play f*ck around and find out. When breathing compressed air underwater you can get a lung embolism and have a terrible day and die in as little as 3-4'. Take a course and get certified, and if you are certified, cut your PADI card in half, as you are too willfully ignorant to participate in this activity safely, no joke. MANY people have died using home-built experimental breathing/diving devices. Learn from their mistakes and use modern equipment designed for the purpose, or you WILL get INJURED or KILLED. You are brave and clever, a dangerous combination, so good job for trying and making it this far. If you are serious about building equipment like this, you have allot to learn, go to school and become an engineer. At the very least be an adult about it and get your prime directive in order, I suggest that if you don't come out of your coma within 3 months they pull the plug.
PS -Seriously bro? A plastic pesticide sprayer? WTF are you thinking.

I understand your comment and worries. I built this scuba tank simply to see if I could and if its possible. I tested it once in my bathtub just for the video and haven't used it since. I never actually took it out into the open ocean. I know the problems that could be caused thus I didn't want to test it in a Maria or in deeper waters. I do want to learn to scuba dive but I'll go though training and get certified.

You should never build your own scuba tank you should go to a dive shop and get proper training and buy a proper scuba cylinder

Thanks for your input but I literally stated that at the beginning of the video. This is just an educational video and I wanted to see if you could build a scuba tank using just hardware supplies.
