Watching these videos made me cringe, so I hope you get that feeling while watching this. Because that’s the point. It took me a while to find some of these clips. I had one that was really annoying. They used this really grand voice and they were like 'Are you ready for 15 seconds of inspection time'. I also had one that said 5 seconds and 12 seconds and it really confused me, I then messed up a great scramble. It sucks that they have no empathy whatsoever for the solver, just trying to be funny.
Some people genuinely don't know or are nervous

I can understand the frustration especially at the kid who kept talking during the solve and asking about the YT channel, but we gotta remember they are just kids, and kids are very inquisitive.
regardless if they're a kid or not, the judge shouldn't talk during the solve. It is distracting to the competitor. You're also not allowed to touch the cube to determine if it's a plus 2 or not.

The worst thing I have done as judge is say "3 2 1" but nothing that bad. Thank goodness the first person I said that to corrected me because I wouldn't have known better

That to me is the most annoying. Not even the kid stuff. Them deciding when you're ready.

Worst thing I have ever done as a judge was forgetting to start the timer on inspection but that wasn't so bad.
I started the timer once but forgot to say the times. I was so mad at myself

Yeah pretty sure all his solves got DNFed after the video was posted. I wouldn't say he was cheating though, he literally didn't know it wasn't allowed. Made a whole F2L tutorial and everything with corner twisting

I love the absolute audacity that kid had in the last clip to CORNER TWIST MULTIPLE TIME ON CAMERA. And then get a plus 2 for freaking touching the cube.

I think its actually good to get kids involved early, helps build future generations of cubers.
Facts, the only problem is that they dont teach how to judge during tutorial for new competitors.
@@Stiffenobeing involved does not equate to needing to judge solves. It's clear these kids can't be trusted with the simplest procedures. Age requirements should be set.

i once was a runner and the guy i had to bring the cube with was cubing on the mat at the time. And because i had to do it quick i put the cube on the table and not on the mat. He and his friend (a very good cuber) looked at me so fucking annoyed

One time I wasn’t looking at my competitor so when I heard someone else say ready I didn’t notice that there mouth didn’t move and thought it was them saying ready so I lifted up the cover and started the timer and they had to put down their 6x6 and start inspection and I felt so bloody bad but I did offer him an extra but he declined it because he said he got a really good time for him

Once had a kid judge me who said "3, 2, 1, GO!" and expected ME to lift the cover despite HIM giving the countdown, very funny

When the judge asked “ready?” He lifted it up before the cuber responded “ready” which means he wasn’t ready. But yeah no worries i was confused at first too

Fr even just solving a 2x2 with beginner method for 3x3 shouldn’t take more than 30 seconds.
Well technically anyone who cubes is a cuber...that being said, it doesn't mean they will be GOOD at cubing lol

i can get being the solver and being angry at judges in the moment but you cant really be mad at kids and non cubers for making mistakes, you also have a decent chance that these people have a mental illness that made it harder for them to follow the instructions given

It's really not the kids fault. There should be standards set for being a judge. Kids will always be kids, and it'd be better for cubing as a whole. No kids, and registered judges is necessary if cubing wants to grow even more.
