"Push it very lightly into the slot...", I feel like this is a Messer joke because I've need the strength of Thor to get all my memory to click in. But for real, thank you for this series. It has been amazing!
I am preparing to take my exam soon and I have found these video materials (notes purchased on site) to help me very well with making physical flash cards. I have been looking at the material for a strong month and a half and am feeling more confident with each breakdown of the exam objectives. I have an IT degree but due to the fast pace of the curriculum, I did not feel as prepared with it alone. While I had good training with the curriculum simulators, I am really nervous about the PBQ for some odd reason and I hope I am just overthinking vs. getting a small section of the material I do not feel as confident with demonstrating knowledge and understanding.
There are a lot of things I didn't realize we had until I started studying for this exam. Made me feel old and makes me feel like the computer I have is a relic.
Thank you Professor Messer. I passed the CompTIA A+ by watching your videos.
what other material did you use to study?
How long did u have to study?
@@RellyRell-ud3izhow long have you been studying ?

As someone who repairs simulator nodes there are motherboards I have to lean into just to get the damn dimm sticks to click in.
Depends on the board but most newer ones should snap in with a light push

Update: passed my Core 1 As of Feb 02, 2024
@@BryantBryant-jt9uj congratulations 🎉🥳
@@BryantBryant-jt9uj Have you gotten core 2 and become A+ certified yet?
Hey Professor, the amount of effort you take to give this much to the world is truly amazing. God bless you!
Can the DIMM be inserted either way with the electrical contacts facing down into the motherboard?
They cannot. The key notches only allow installation in a specific direction or orientation.
Just saw that now that the notches will prevent that
Thank you so much sir for this excellent course
Thank you for your work!
I didn't even know we had DDR5 ram.
yeah because most mobos dont support it
At the depot I work at only some newer models have this capability

Its very new. I'm still using a machine with DDR3, haha, yikes
DDR3 is still somehow dependable, lol. For the most basic tasks in daily life, that’s a good budget option.
Thanks
so what i'm getting is that DDR is the 2-stroke of the Memory world, got it!
Professor Messer is so handsome 😍😍😍
