Totally agree! I was getting bored playing because there was not much to do anymore. Now with this new update its going to be much more entertaining and fun to play.
Brewster is here again to bring quiet and relaxing times to an already relaxing game. Also Kapp’n coming back is awesome. I own New Leaf and when I played it back then, it was fun as well.
It’s like a mashup of every Animal Crossing game ever and I’m loving it! And the price of the DLC is reasonable if you compare it to its 3 ds counterpart “Happy Home Designer” being $40.00 USD
Also taking into account it has more design specific features (like adjusting time of day, lightning, creating paths, adding fences where you like, partitions, columns, counters)... as well as impact in your actual island.
I love how everyone was like " a animal crossing direct is there much they can talk about?". Now Nintendo is there " here is everything you wanted plus more you never knew you needed". The start of paid dlc I don't think this will be the only paid dlc the game will get but who knows. It's a little pricey but worth it.

They listened to us! They gave us everything we’ve been asking for & more :) (theres still no mini-games & nothing for multiplayer tho, which is a huge bummer. For anyone still watching the videos as we wait for the update. Here are following items from the first half that I haven't seen anyone mention: 1. There are 3 jars of jam on the 1space size table. 2. The drink w/straw can be brought at Nooks Cranny. 3. Shelves can now hold stuff. 4. There is a sushi tray at Nooks Cranny. 5. They show a scrapbook on the table. 6. Basket of breads, which means we'll likely have food items that are decor while ones that can be decor and edible.
If you can turn the camera in first person mode, it’ll be a HUGE accessibility feature as I can find out what items are behind trees easier since it’s hard for me to do so normally.

Not sure if someone else noticed, but ceiling colors appear to be customizable. In Maple’s upgraded house, the ceiling is brown. In the roommates house, it’s grey.
I started playing animal crossing for the first time about a month ago. I haven't even started going in-depth into terraforming yet. This is going to be insane. ALSO I have a park on my island so I am very excited for that park fencing update

This new update is amazing, bringing back the fun and enjoyment of playing again. Although not to fond of paying for dlc, but it will be worth it as long as it isn't too outrageously priced.
The DLC is like AC's endgame but made even more convenient to build certain themes and and places, and then being able to apply it to your own personal island. Seems like a really well thought out gameplay design for fans.
I can’t wait for this update! The fact that they’re bringing GameCube-era villagers back is what sold me the most- especially Rio, my very first Animal Crossing bestie!
This new update will bring me back to AC and there is sooooooooo much to do!! I will definitely get the DLC too. The hunt for the Raymond card will be big so I’m looking forward to the amiibo cards too! Super excited!!
So I just had a thought: will it be possible to invite certain customers from HHP to your main island? Could this be a way of expanding what villagers your able to invite to your island, without using Mystery Tours or the campsite?
The free update is insane and huge AND the DLC is insane and huge. No wonder it took so long. This is going to extend the game's longevity BIG TIME.
