Valerie is the only one who never hurt Stefan. Even Caroline broke her engagement with Stefan for her family.

It would be romantic if STELERIE actually happen in the end. I mean she was his FIRST love, FIRST to made love with, and was suppose to have his FIRST child with. I felt sorry for her because she had to face everthing alone, trapped and hide her secret in prison world for over hundred years thinking of stefan in how he thinks she abandon him. Wouldn't be romantic if someone LITERALLY became the FIRST AND LAST LOVE in their life. Stefan is being an idiot here with all the hardship that he'd been through he deserves valerie as much as valerie deserves better like him.

Such a horrible backdrop I thought Stefan And Valerie were truly worthy of another and completed each other if not for Lily's controlling nature and Julian's abusive tendencies they would of been a fine couple with there own amazing child yeah
The least Stefan could have given Val was honesty.He didn't.
She didn't ask for validation.Not even the truth.She already knew the truth. "I'm very familiar with the sensation of watching Stefan and Caroline from the outside."
She was in Stefan's life and watched stefan WITH caroline BEFORE(hence the vervain spell and dropping the miscarriage news conveniently or using her traumatic past to rub on caroline's face out of spite; watched Stefan being forced to go save Damon leaving caroline in the hospital when he point blank said he would not leave her) and AFTER he was marked by Rayna (watched him begging to see Caroline and asking to travel with her,"Just you and me".) She was in his life when he was on the run and was still desperately trying hard with Caroline,sending her who knows how many letters which were sent back unopened and unread.Valerie was asking stefan here why was he with her? Stefan should have told her because Caroline was not in his life anymore and she didn't want him back in her life anymore. Stefan't didn't. What did he do though? Drop a corny one-liner! YIKES! Stefan lost so much integrity in that moment.The Stefan Salvatore who Caroline Forbes fell in love with would've gone quiet if he couldn't give Val honesty even when he was dying.So Val spelt it out for him next when she was dying.
BE HONEST.She asked if she was a distraction or something more. It was a two parter question.Stefan addressed the first part.Maybe she was not a distraction.Stefan, even though was the more ruthless of the two brothers because of how manipulative and calculative he was, was still capable of showing empathy to people,even who wronged him.He empathised with katherine,klaus and Damon.He empathised with Val too because of her traumatic past.Val knew it all along.Val even knew Stefan cared about her BUT was still in love with Caroline.
Did Stefan still want Caroline back?Absolutely yes.Should his actions be excused?NO.
Would he overstep Caroline's boundaries?That's not who Stefan is.
And that's not Val's problem.She was so passive-aggressively obsessed with him that she enabled HIS bad decisions,choices and his grief as well.Stefan,whereas, knew Val was 'useful'.Self-serving,much?
If Val hadn't pulled out, Stefan would probably have continued it except he would have "stayed closer to home" while doing so although he knew he couldn't go back to Mystic Falls.This aligns with when we see him in his head lying on the couch in the living room and not in his own room.Because his heart isn't there.His heart was where he carried a scar for three years.And when he took the scar he saw something...someone.Makes sense why Val desperately said ' I took Caroline's place'.
His heart was somewhere else.

Couldn't Valerie have channeled Damon to make the spell easier on her; like how Freya channeled Lucien in TO ep 14 to enter Klaus and Elijah's mental space with Tristan and Aurora.

+KnowledgeGatherer or maybe channeling Damon wouldn't have made that much of a difference. Lucien was a lot Older and more powerful than Damon.
KnowledgeGatherer Freya is one of the most powerful witches in the TO/TVD universe she said she would of been able to put Rebekah back into her own body on her own if you remember before Klaus went Klaus like on Freya. Also channeling works but it requires practice and channeling requires sigils and glyphs. When you see Freya do it you normally see that around any of the things she's channeling. Also Freya is experienced in channeling magic where as Valeire isn't and I don't think it would of helped since she could of ended up siphoning Damons vampirism instead of using him to anchor or strength her spell

This shows the difference in power between witches. Body jumping is one of the hardest spells a witch can perform. Even Valerie a 100 year old heretic cannot do it. But witches like Esther, Freya, Inadu do it like it is a pain infliction spell
Valerie did do it lol Stefan woke back up in his body… val was siphoning from her vampire magic to do the spell. Valerie also used her vampire energy to head dive Stefan which took a lot of her energy which made her struggle but she did complete the spell. Valerie said this spell usually requires two witches but she was strong enough.
Also I think desiccation spells are similar as Abby said it took almost all of her magic

@@The_Memorial Bonnie did do it alone… so did other witches. The show stated that the spell takes two witches but Valerie did it alone because she is stronger than a regular witch
@@buterafirevocals8177they never stated the spell requires two witches. If it required two witches Valerie wouldn’t be able to do it. Bonnie did it and didn’t almost die. Freya,Esther, Dalhia, Inadu did it and they didn’t even bleed
