The Bible does speak about the human condition or nature if you prefer, and it doesn't have a whole lot of good to say about it. Paul lived a better life then we could ever hope and even he said oh wretched man that I am. He put his faith in the finished work of Christ that is it.

I cannot agree with the claim that this was for "that culture" in "that day", because, when Jesus says "In that day..." we have to ask ourselves what "day" He's referring to. He's talking about Judgment Day. It seems to be suggested that Jesus is saying "I don't know who you are NOW...", as if there's a chance at that point to restore the relationship. I disagree. It's no different than court. Once judgement (sentence) is being passed, the trial is over!

God constantly begged man to Love him, keep his commandments, repent etc.. but they just couldn't/wouldn't do it, no one did it.
God had a remedy, "If you want anything done right you gotta do yourself" I will send my son to be the permanent sacrifice, I will send my son to be the mediator between man and myself because I'm not going to be in the presence of sin, I'm going to have do something about their sin nature the cannot seem to overcome, I will take out their old heart and give them a new heart, I will put my spirit in them so they can over come the sin nature, they will then be able to keep my commandments, continue to believe in me and I will be their God and they will be my people. Now back to the scripture.
God provided the remedy for Israel and Jesus included the gentiles as well.
Jesus when talking to Nicodemus referred to this remedy, and just like people of today, Nicodemus did not understand what Jesus meant he said he must be born again. Jesus was referring to God's remedy in Deuteronomy 29; Jeremiah 31:31-33 and Ezekiel 36:25-27
25.Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
      26. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
      27. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
Notice that God is the one talking and he did not require Israel to do anything. God said he would put his spirit in you and cause them to you to walk in his ways. This sounds robotic and John Calvin was nowhere around to influence God.
Jesus included the gentiles in this remedy in John 10:16 “And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd”.

@@Orthocurious It is only clear if you presuppose everyone who says they believe is saved. The bible clearly teaches eternal life because Jesus said the life he gives is eternal and he is the author and the finisher of the faith and we know the word eternal to mean forever. Why would Jesus use the word Eternal knowing there is a possibility someone could lose salvation, he never said “unless” or placed conditions.
Jesus saying you can’t come to him without the father and that he would lose none that the father gave him is straight forward, or as you would say, clear. You would have to finagle and add conditions that are not written in the text to counter what Jesus said.
When you don’t understand what salvation is and how you get it, it is understandable why you would think you can lose it. If you understood how we are saved and what it is you would have no question about security.
First and foremost, salvation is by grace meaning we have nothing to do with obtaining it, this is not synergistic.
      Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
The first phrase in verse 8 sets the stage for everything that comes after it, salvation is by grace, that would mean everything required to make salvation happen would also have to be by grace or salvation would not be by grace because of works added. Verse 9 gives a description of what works would look like, the ability to boast. The second phrase in verse in 8 says it was a gift of God.
If the faith provided comes from man's intuition, his ability to learn, understand and make good decisions, it is works as described in Ephesians 2:8-9 - you can boast. This person can walk away because he is not saved by grace, he is not saved at all because the scripture says we are saved by grace and unmerited favor.
If we are graced the faith by God opening our eyes and ears and conditioning our hearts to the Gospel, then we are saved by Grace as opposed to being smart enough to make a great decision.
People who are saved by Grace know they would not chance without God, people who are not saved by grace feel as though they participated with God in the justification process, "God does some, I do some and together I am saved".
“Anything that God requires will require God to get it done”.

      @@Orthocurious The Warning Scriptures
Several passages that warn Christians about their own behavior, and some seem to imply a loss of salvation for the disobedient.
Some New Testament warning passages are aimed at those who are part of the visible church but who do not truly know Christ. Such are the warnings in the epistle to the Hebrews. The author of Hebrews directs some of his statements to mere professors who are not actually saved (see Hebrews 6:4-6 and Hebrews 10:26). The target audience of these passages is unbelievers who are associated with the church and have been exposed to God’s redemptive truth-perhaps they’ve even made a profession of faith-but they have not exercised genuine saving faith. If they continue to reject Christ, they will be lost forever.
Other warning passages teach those who are truly born again will not deny the gospel or forsake Christ. First Corinthians 15:1-2 is one such passage: “I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.” Paul’s proviso “If you hold firmly to the word” is simply his way of saying that everyone who has truly believed in Christ will hold on to the end. Those who are false professors of the faith, who are Christians in name only, will eventually be swayed from the gospel through the attacks of the unbelieving world (see 1 Timothy 1:19-20).
Paul’s statement “Otherwise, you have believed in vain” in 1 Corinthians 15:2 can be understood in one of two ways. First, it could be that Paul is speaking rhetorically, putting forward a hypothetical statement concerning the truth of the gospel. The message he preached would save them-unless the message was false. The New Living Translation brings out this meaning: “Unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place.” In the rest of the chapter, Paul emphasizes the fact of the resurrection and the reliability of his message. Second, Paul could be contrasting true belief, which results in salvation, with mere intellectual assent or an emotional reaction, which is worthless to save a soul. In this case, Paul is warning professing Christians not to be like the stony ground or the thorny ground in Jesus’ parable (see Matthew 13:1-23).
Jesus gave a warning to false professors in Matthew 7:21-23: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” Even many religious people who claim to serve God do not truly know the Lord. The matter of salvation is of utmost importance, and many New Testament warning passages are meant to cause professed believers to examine themselves to ensure they truly have put their faith in Christ (see 2 Corinthians 13:5).
Other New Testament passages warn believers against various sins. These warnings do not relate to salvation but to God’s work of sanctification in the lives of believers. Believers have been set free from slavery to sin and are cautioned to stand firm in that freedom (Galatians 5:1; Philippians 2:12-13). The book of Revelation contains several warnings regarding sinful behavior in the seven churches. In those churches, the sins of theological compromise, immorality, apathy, and pride had to be dealt with.
Scripture teaches that we can know we are saved: “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life” (1 John 5:13). Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and God will finish the work He began in us (Philippians 1:6). Believers are called to live in holiness, and false professors of faith are called to repent and trust in Christ for salvation. The need for believers to avoid sin and the need for false converts to stop pretending necessitate the warning passages of Scripture.

OSAS means that those whom the Father gives to the Son will never be lost. (John 10:29) These 'elect' if you will, know that if they love Jesus they will keep His commandments; they know they cannot CONTINUE IN SIN because God is gracious. If you want to follow all the 10 commandments and establish your own righteousness, then just remember this verse: James 2:10
“For whoever keeps the whole Law but stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of [breaking] all of it.”

Let the scripture interpret itself, I just can't stress this enough!
This was Christ using the Torah ( Psalm 6:8 & Psalm 119 :115 )as usual to make his point prophetically.
    Ezekiel 18:24
But if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and practices iniquity, committing the same abominations as the wicked, will he live? None of the righteous acts he did will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness and sin he has committed, he will die.
This also applies to us; that if we claim that we know Christ,we consistently practice his commandments ( 1 John 2:3 ). Although we can now approach the throne of grace with confidence because of the sacrifice of Christ for us, to receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need, the moment we knowingly decide to step out of this confine without any feelings of remorse or repentance,...God help us!!!

Could it be these people were lying? They were standing in the presence of Jesus and to save their skin, made the false declaration that they did these things hoping Jesus would allow them entry? Then when Jesus declares He never knew them, it would make sense, He didn't know them, they werent even believers, they just made it up hoping to get by. Other possible explanation I came up with is these people THOUGHT they knew Jesus, but were following a false Jesus like the one in the Quran or the book of Mormon. So again when Jesus says He never knew them, it's true, He didn't once know them then they blew it, He never knew them because they were worshiping a false Jesus, not the Jesus of the Gospels.

    Warnings against apostasy:
Hebrews 5 beautiful chapter Warning Against (Apostasy) ( rebellion Deuteronomy 13 second Thessalonians 2 Peter 3 Peter said that Paul was hard to understand to those who are unlearned babes ) who twist the words to their own destruction that is the delusion.
11¶About this we have much to say, ( and it is hard to explain, ) (since you have become dull of hearing.) (For though by this time you ought to be teachers, ) (you need someone to teach you again the basic principles) ( of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food,) ( 13for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. ) ( 14But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil. ) and a lot of these people are teaching when they haven't even been brought up and evil they've been brought up in good their whole life I've been brought up in vomit evil and hurt and pain all my life I can spot crap a mile away!!!
The Way of the Righteous and the Wicked
Psalm 1 (Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,)
(nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;)
( 2but his delight is in the lawfn of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night. ) You know the circumcision of the heart that he writes it on your heart as part of the New Covenant so you can't forget it? Because now we're going to start remembering?
    ( 3¶He is like a tree
    planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.)

Aleph blessed are those who ( way is blameless ( who walks in the law of יְהוָֽה the Lord ( 2Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart, ) ( 3who also do no wrong,
but walk in his ways! ) ( Mem
Oh how I love your law!
It is my meditation all the day. )
( 98Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is ever with me. ) well Daniel 11 through 12 the wise will have understanding the wisdom giving to Daniel blessed are you Simon bar Jonah for flesh and blood has not revealed this but the father who is in heaven.
(I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies ( Torah ) are my meditation.) (I understand more than the aged, for I keep your precepts.) 101I hold back my feet from every evil way, in order to keep your word. 102I do not turn aside from your rules,
for you have taught me. ( 103How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth! )
    ( 104Through your precepts I get understanding; (therefore I hate every false way. ) ( 105¶Nun
Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path. ( 106I have sworn an oath and confirmed it,
to keep your righteous rules. ) Well the Hebrew word for ( sign ) is owt) and this is the way of the Covenant.
    2 Peter 3
1¶This is now the second letter that I am writing to you, beloved. In both of them I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder,2(that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandments of the Lord and Savior through your apostles,)
Concerning apostasy 2nd Thessalonians lawlessness Daniel 7:25, Deuteronomy 13 the basis Amos 3 there is nothing revealed that has not been revealed to the prophets 1 Corinthians 14:32 for the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets
3knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires
Now let's keep building off the founding fathers
( 5For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God,)
    Base setting for the 🥁
6and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished
7But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly
    Now context precepts
( But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. )
( So the importance of The Seventh-Day Sabbath is key here cuz that's the most important one because when is the millennial reign on the 7th Day for how many years 1,000?
9The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you,fn not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
    Matthew 5 Revelation 20-21
13But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.
So again Leviticus 13 through 16 the laws of leprosy and baptism apply here spotless present your bodies as a living sacrifice

Jesus said his sheep follow and will not follow a stranger, I got a feeling if you are following Jesus you will abide, what part of Jesus saying his sheep follow him don't you understand?
When Jesus was talking about remaining in the vine, he said these words
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain:
ordained - (especially of God or fate) prescribe; determine (something) - order or decree (something) officially
      ----
All of the warnings in the scripture are descriptive meaning they describe what a Christian does or does not do, what it looks like, none of the warning were prescriptive, do this in order to get in heaven and the reason for that is it would contradict being saved by grace. Saved by grace means nothing you do saves you, we don't have faith because of man's intuition (ability to think and make a good decision), we have faith because God opened our eyes and ears condition our heart so that we can believe and except the gospel.
      Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
The first statement made is that we are saved by grace meaning every else required for salvation has to also be by grace or we would not be saved by grace.
Verse 9 describes what works would look like, if you have the ability to say you did something.
This is God's inspired scripture meaning he said it.

There is no basis for Eternal Security in the Scripture that I have found.
The problem with OSAS adherents is they are quick to write off the believer who is trying to correct them.
Jesus is saying here that many will come to Him on the last day, falsely believing that they had lived as Christians.
But not knowing that they never even scratched the surface of salvation. They lived with a false assurance. As is the case today with OSAS adherents.
Salvation without active Obedience is vanity.
Jesus is here saying YOU FALSELY BELIEVED that I knew you; but sorry I didn't.
Many other texts support this truth:
    Matthew 8:11-12 KJV
And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. [12] But the CHILDREN OF THE KINGDOM SHALL BE CAST OUT INTO OUTER DARKNESS: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
    Matthew 24:44-51 KJV
Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. [45] Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? [46] Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. [47] Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. [48] But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; [49] And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; [50] The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, [51] And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
    Matthew 25:29-30 KJV
For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. [30] And cast ye the UNPROFITABLE SERVANT into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
    Luke 13:23-28 KJV
Then said one unto him, LORD, ARE there FEW THAT BE SAVED? And he said unto them,
[24] STRIVE TO ENTER in at the STRAIT GATE: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. [25] When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: [26] Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. [27] But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. [28] There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

That’s not losing your salvation tho. That literally is people who didn’t have an actual relationship with Christ. And the people in those passages being thrown out of the Kingdom is referring to Israelites originally being the ones who were supposed to receive salvation, but lost it due to constant rebellion and unrepentant hearts. So most of those are not about people claiming to be Christians outside “Lord, Lord…,” passage. The closest thing I’ve ever read that I thought was against Eternal Security is the “If you willfully sin” scripture, but the entire context of that passage is speaking about those who hear about Christ and believe but still choose to follow the Law. So I don’t believe you can lose it. I used to, but I’ve grown out of it.

The difficult letters of Paul - deeper teaching on Galatians 1-2
    Laying a foundation -
    Deuteronomy 13
When ( there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, ) and (he shall give you a sign or a Wonder. ) 🖇️ 2 Thessalonians 2 (Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, ) (unless the rebellion ) comes first, and ( the man of lawlessness) is revealed, the son of perdition. 9 (The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan ) (with all power) and ( false signs and wonders, )
And ( the Sign or the Wonder shall come true, ) of which he has spoken to you, saying, ( let us go after other gods, ) (which you have not known and serve them. )
and do not listen to the words of that Prophet or that dreamer of dreams, ( for יְהוָ֤ה your Elohim is testing you to know whether you love יְהוָ֤ה you're Elohim with all your heart and with all your being ) - ( Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, ) - ( if you love me you will keep my commandments. )
(Walk after יְהוָ֤ה your Elohim,) and (fear him,) and ( guard his commandments and obey his voice, ) and (serve him and cling to him.) ( my sheep hear my voice, if you love me you will keep my commandments. )
1 John clearly spells this out,
    * If it's taking you away from the commandments, if it's taking you away from the Torah, if it's taking you away from the feast to serve somebody else besides him, you're being tested, do you really love your Elohim? Because then you won't mind because his burden is light.
And that prophett or dreamer of dreams is put to death, because ( he has spoken apostasy against יְהוָ֤ה you're Elohim) who brought you out of the land of Egypt and (ransomed you from the house of bondage, ) (to make you stray away from the way in which יְהוָ֤ה you're Elohim has commanded you to walk, ) thus you shall Purge the evil from yourir midst. 🖇️ 2 Thessalonians 8 (And then the lawless one will be revealed, ) (whom the יְהוָ֤ה Yeshua will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. )
And remember this person is showing Great signs and wonders, leading apostasy from the commandments, the feast, the Torah, what do you see Daniel as well ? Those who forsake the Covenant.
    * Apostasy in this chapter is 🖇️ to leading people away from the commandments of Elohim God.
    * Daniel 7:25 says what? He shall intend to change the appointed times feast and the Torah the law.
    * And here it says who brought you out of the land of Egypt and Ransom to you from the house of bondage, here's where Christianity does make the mistake because we have been lied to that because we follow the law we are in bondage and it does not say that Paul says by this faith we uphold the Torah!! We will get to Paul shortly
    * God brought them out of bondage to put them back into bondage ??
    * If Paul is a real apostle of God he cannot make us walk away from the commandments, so when we start reading some of these difficult passages, we have to start thinking though okay what is Paul ( not saying ? ) and if we don't understand, is there something else that we are missing?
And that prophett or dreamer of dreams is put to death, because ( he has spoken apostasy against יְהוָ֤ה you're Elohim) who brought you out of the land of Egypt and (ransomed you from the house of bondage, ) (to make you stray away from the way in which יְהוָ֤ה you're Elohim has commanded you to walk, ) thus you shall Purge the evil from yourir midst. 🖇️ 2 Thessalonians 8 (And then the lawless one will be revealed, ) (whom the יְהוָ֤ה Yeshua will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. )
    Isaiah 8:20
(To the Torah and to the witness!) ( If they do not speak according to this word,) it is because they have (no daybreak.)
    * They are not speaking to this word according to this word they have no light in them!!!
Malachi 4 Malachi was one of the last Prophets to speak before Messiah arrived, and you will hear this thing of the inter testimonial period where there was no prophecy, even the Jews record this in their own history..
For look, the day shall come, burning like a furnace, and all the proud, and every wrongdoer shall be humbled, and the day shall come shall burn them, said יְהוָ֤ה of hosts, which leads to them neither root nor branch.
But to you who fear my name the son of righteousness shall arise with healing in his (wings kānāp̄ כָּנָף ) and you shall go out and leap for Joy like calves from the stall, ( Daniel 9:27 on the wings of Filth wings kānāp̄ כָּנָף ) )
And you shall trample the wrongdoers, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this, said יְהוָ֤ה of hosts,
( Remember the Torah of Moses, ) My servant, which I commanded him (in Horeb for all Israel) - ( laws and right rulings. )
    * Brother Malachi suggests that the house of Israel would forget and what did we cover during the prophecy teachings Isaiah 29 Isaiah 30 Isaiah 31 about the spiritual state of the overall body!!! That's why he says to remember because we would throughout the Nations where we were scattered give birth to spiritual idolatry.
    Amos 3
For the Master יְהוָ֤ה ( does no matter ) ( unless he reveals His secret to his servants the prophets )
    1 Corinthians 14:32
For the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

If you participate in the salvation process you can walk away because you are not saved - hence the term I never knew you.
If you come by salvation because of your intuition you can walk away. When you are saved by grace you can not walk away because you are not the reason you are saved.
Repenting and responding and even believing the gospel message is not a work if and only if God is the ONE who opened the ears to hear, opened the eyes to see and conditioned the heart, then it would be grace.
People who are saved by Grace understand they would have no shot without God whereas those who are saved by their ability to follow instructions feel as though they made a good decision to follow Jesus.

I take this verse to show that just cause we personally may believe we may not have been born of Spirit. Jesus tells us one must be born from above to see the kingdom of heaven. Scripture also says that He knitted us together in the womb..... So if we are born from above He knows us. He knit us together His action bore us into eternal life. So in my mind "many are called few are chosen" and the parable of the seeds supports this "temporary believer" as well as the oarable of the wheat and tares. I take this as Jesus telling us there will be thise confessing Him yet are not truly saved. Jesus never says that by our confession we will saved. Paul does tho. And most seem to think that personal confession means you are saved. Yet this is not what Yeshua taught.
Its a warning to check yourself and Paul supports that. We are to fear the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom.....
I look at it as Yeshua telling us just because you say "you know me" idont necessarily know you" and you knowing of me is not what it takes to reach the Kingdom". The demons know of Him and believe as well as shudder...... so whats different about you than them?
Exactly (gonethe nothem)spl idk) being born from above 🤔

Salvation can’t be lost, but it can be forsaken.
Nevertheless, this passage of scripture has no bearing on the “loss” or “eternity” of salvation…. Jesus is telling those who call Him Lord but Do Not do the Will of The Father, that He never knew them. Jesus’ lack of knowledge of them is proven by the fact that their actions didn’t align with their profession.
To know Christ is to do His Will.

The Gospels never exclude Judas Iscariot from the works Christ gave them to do, such as casting out demons, healing every kind of disease, and every kind of sickness in Matthew 10. The same thing can be seen in Matthew 25 in the parable of the ten virgins. 5 were foolish, and 5 were prudent. Many conclude that the 5 foolish represent those who only have an outward testimony of salvation but inwardly do not have real faith or the Holy Spirit within them. The Old Testament provides insight into this reality in many places as well. What eventually happened to Balaam. Here was a prophet who possessed power in his words (power supplied by God) yet he messed around over and over and in the end he perished. Jude 11.

The word "prophesy" is used. To prophesy, is to deliver a message, not by your own power but by the Holy Ghost. If people would just read through the Bible, they would better understand. I've heard a huge abuse of "I never knew you", and reformed folk were using that passage as to mean, it's talking only about Pentecostals or charismatic folk, so that they could use it like a club and beat down those who they disagree with. Why does a disagreement mean we have to put someone on blast publicly? I was enjoying the video until once again you brought someone else's clip into it. This is what it has come to because of RUclips and social media. People who have been to seminary, some scholars, or those who decided to go buy scholarly commentaries and resources are now using these platforms to call others out while using their platforms to show people why their study and understanding of the scripture is more right. There are scholars who have sat in rooms and debated their position and interpretation of scriptures and what would be inside these scholarly books that we read without none of them putting each other on blast. But todays Christians are all about calling others out who view of the Scripture is not the same as theirs. Why not just teach on it and say there are some out there that believe the Scripture is saying this or there are some out there that teach or preach this. But the RUclips scholars believe they should put their faces and video clips up and let us know how wrong someone is that most people don't watch or care about.

There are many that are taught all they have to do is believe, they don't have to change, because of grace how they live doesn't matter. Jesus said a kingdom divided cannot exist, you cannot serve God in the kingdom of God in the spirit and serve the devil in the kingdom of darkness in the flesh.....Jesus said everyone in his kingdom now will not enter the kingdom of God in the end, our final salvation event....the son of man will send out his angels and they will gather out of his kingdom all things that offend and those who practice lawlessness and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their father. He who has ears to hear let him hear.....many can't hear understand. God delivers us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of his son. That's just the beginning our conversion our Ephesians2:8 salvation event. Everyone who has been converted has this salvation event in their past and cannot lose an event. When Jesus returns judgement our resurrection, that's also a salvation event and hasn't happened yet it's in our future for everyone, our final salvation event. That's why it not only matters if we believe remain faithful to Christ. It also matters how we live our walk our righteousness now in this lifetime. Has nothing to do with keeping Torah laws or working for anything. After our conversion salvation event we abide in the doctrine of Christ. And this is the testimony that God has given us eternal life. And this life is in his son. He who has the son has life, he who does not have the son of God does not have life.....whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the father and the son....eternal life is in Christ not in ourselves. As long as we abide in the doctrine of Christ we have life in Christ now. When Jesus returns judgement our resurrection, that's when we are resurrected unto life and have life in ourselves like Christ, our final salvation event.....for as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order Christ the firstfruits afterwards those who are Christ at his coming.....and as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgement, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for him he will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.....many can only see the beginning our conversion salvation event but cannot see the end when Christ returns judgement our resurrection final salvation event. They only see grace yet don't even understand grace of God. Grace will also teach us to live righteous godly lives in this present age. Everyone will face judgement when Christ returns according to their faith together with their actions how they have lived, how they have responded to the grace of God. The spirit of Grace......salvation is an event not a possession, like your birthday is an event. And eternal life is a possession that we actually receive when we are resurrected unto life when Christ returns, our final salvation event....marvel not at this for the hour is coming in which all who are in the Graves will hear his voice and come forth those who have done good to the resurrection of life and those who have done evil to the resurrection of condemnation.....Jesus said everyone in his kingdom now will not enter the kingdom of God in the end final salvation event.....the son of man will send out his angels and they will gather out of his kingdom all things that offend and those who practice lawlessness and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their father. He who has ears to hear let him hear....many cannot hear or understand, they cannot see the kingdom of God or scripture pertaining to entering the kingdom in the end.......

Christ can ONLY KNOW THE SOUL and not the flesh: Christ like a sword separates the flesh and Spirit to release the SOUL from it and if a person is NOT SEPARATED unto the gospel, he doesn't KNOW Christ, even if he believes in him but his ESAU can not repent even though he seeks it with tears: The flesh is against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh: CHRIST DOES NOT KNOW THE FLESH IN US but he KNOWS OUR SOUL when it RISES:
ONLY THE TRUTH SETS YOU FREE: If Christ is NOT RISEN IN YOU, you are still dead in your sins and not FREE: If you are FREE then you understand it is the SOUL IN UNITY WITH CHRIST THAT SETS YOU FREE and most people in Christianity and Judaism still are ESAU and if they are Jacob they have not had all ungodliness turned (repented) from them: the rapture has been happening since Abraham who saw the day of Christ and was glad: Jacob experienced the rapture ascending the ladder to see God face to face and live: Paul experienced the rapture, went to paradise, KNEW A MAN and sat in heavenly places with him and David till he made his enemies his footstool: THE RAPTURE is the first resurrection that make us like angels in heaven and the measure of an ANGEL is the measure of A MAN (144 cubits): MAN through the SOUL (Jacob) must RISE above his animate hairy part, Esau, who can not repent or do teshuvah:
IT is only the SOUL that can RISE ABOVE THE BODY and join the BODY and SOUL together with God hence Messiah brings us back to the FATHER because the Messiah is the ANOINTING that breaks the yoke of the body and soul so the SOUL can RISE and bring LIFE to the body: The soul at this point takes on the heavenly YOKE (which is easy on the soul because the ANOINTING does the heavy lifting) and is able to overcome the sins of the lower members or the physical part.
The church is waiting for Jesus as much as Jews are waiting for Messiah: BOTH need the rapture (FEAST OF TABERNACLES) so both are waiting for the same thing: THEIR RAPTURE TO GOD while in the body (in my flesh I shall see the salvation of the LORD):
this other particular video about sinning is also ignorant of scripture
THE SINLESS ONE WE DEPEND ON IS CHRIST IN US, which is HOW GOD sees us: IN CHRIST, the anointing which is the reason for this transformation:
Where we are JOINED to Christ is Above the MERCY SEAT and wherever we are in him, we can NOT SIN anymore:
BELOW the mercy seat or what Paul called his LOWER MEMBERS, can still sin but here is where we have the ADVOCATE for below (ON EARTH as in heaven):
If we have not risen with Christ to go above first, then he is in us but there is no part of us that is IN HIM YET: IT is the PART OF US that is HIDDEN IN HIM that stops sinning: The part that is SEPARATED UNTO THE GOSPEL is above and the part that is separate "FROM" the gospel is below:
DISCERN WITH RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT and know CHRIST can FINISH the good work he began in you just like it teaches about Hanukkah, the OIL is enough to cleanse the temple:
and don't let anyone else JUDGE YOU: God is your judge at the judgement seat of Christ IN YOU: (shulchan aruch): Christ reveals sin and covers it so it can be overcome: LOVE covers a multitude of transgressions because at the level BELOW the mercy seat we are Esau who must walk with Jacob but his desire is transformed by the GOOD ROOT David brings to the being: This GOOD ROOT (anointing) will eventually bring the anointing even to the FEET (ASHUR dips his feet in oil )

break it down ... lord lord ... meaning it was someone or many that believe in christ ... those who don't believe those not call jesus lord ... and the last part was those who do lawlessness ... those who do not do the covenant of god ... sin is lawlessness ...
    John 14:15 (KJV)
If ye love me, keep my commandments. ( the 10 commandments ) ( the first 4 of the commandments is the love of god )( the last 6 is the love of thy neighbor) ... those who break the law are sinning and those who do the law are not sinning )
since everyone is a sinner according to pual ...then we are under sin
    Rom 3:9 (KJV)
    What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
is then we are sinners then we are not righteous then it is our duty to do the law because we are sinners ...
    1Tim 1:9 (KJV)
Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
that is why we have to establish the law ...in other word fulfill the law
    Rom 3:31 (KJV)
Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
that is how you show love ,,, not just say you love but you show love
    John 14:15 (KJV)
If ye love me, keep my commandments. ( you show god that you love him by keeping his commandments )
so is it self righteousness to do what jesus and god what you to do? or is it doing the will of god?

Jesus never said "I have never known you" no, God knows all things even those who not his own, he says "I never knew you" meaning that he's talking about an act that he'd have done at a single point in time. It's just like someone saying "I never saw you" vs "I have never seen you" the former indicates a single point in time, the latter indicates a continuation/ over a period of time.
So then if it's not talking about knowledge of something/ someone, what is it talking abt?
    Luke 1:34 KJV
Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
How is it that Mary could say she doesnt know a man? Isnt Joseph not her husband?
    Matthew 1:25 KJV
And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
So Joseph never met Mary before the birth of Jesus Christ?
No ofc thats not what it means. It means he's never consummated with her. But how does this tie in to the spiritual aspect of things? Remember the word of God describes the church as Christ's bride(those who have repented and been sanctified by the washing with water according to the word of God, water baptism Jesus Christ name) and the same way a man goes in **unto his wife when they are married (the two becoming one flesh; Eph 5v32), the same way Christ goes in **into his bride (no longer having two but one spirit; 1 Cor 6v17)
In other words this verse means that those people didnt recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit but were able to perform signs and wonders because 1. The name of Jesus Christ has power regardless of who calls on him and 2. People arent made whole, whether that be by healing or prophesying, because of who healed them, its because of their faith. Just look at what Jeus Christ says everytime he heals or delivers someone from something "Thy faith has made thee whole"

@@bridonbutcher8845 Jesus said, “Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” (Matthew 7:23). It seems strange to hear our all-knowing Lord say there’s something-or someone-He doesn’t know. Jesus refers not to an intellectual knowledge here but to a relational knowledge.
To understand a verse, always start with the context. Jesus is wrapping up His Sermon on the Mount with a final warning about true faith. Jesus predicts that false Christian prophets will be coming as wolves in sheep’s clothing (Matthew 7:15). They may use all the right “God talk” and even make impressive displays of power, but they will not belong to the Lord:
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” (Matthew 7:21-23).
When Jesus said, “I never knew you,” to the feigned disciples, He meant that He never recognized them as His true disciples or His friends. He never had anything in common with them nor approved of them. They were no relations of His (Mark 3:34-35). Christ did not dwell in their hearts (Ephesians 3:17), nor did they have His mind (1 Corinthians 2:16). In all these ways and more, Jesus never knew them. Note that Jesus is not breaking off the relationship here-there was never a relationship to break off. Despite their high-sounding words and showy displays of religious fervor, they had no intimacy with Christ.
So it turns out that what matters isn’t so much that we know God on some level, but that God knows us. As Paul explained, “Whoever loves God is known by God” (1 Corinthians 8:3; also see Galatians 4:9). The Lord “tends His flock like a shepherd” (Isaiah 40:11), and He knows who are His sheep (John 10:14).
Jesus warns that one day He will tell a group of religious practitioners, “I never knew you.” God takes no delight in sending people to hell (2 Peter 3:9). But those who are told to depart have rejected God’s eternal purpose and plan for their lives (Luke 7:30). They have spurned the light of the gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4), choosing the darkness instead, because their deeds were evil (John 3:19). At the judgment, they try to justify themselves as worthy of heaven on the basis of their works (prophecies, exorcisms, miracles, etc.), but no one will be justified by his own works (Galatians 2:16). While claiming to do all these good works in Christ’s name, they failed to do the only work of God that counts: “to have faith in the one he sent” (John 6:29, CEV). And so Jesus, the Righteous Judge, condemns them to eternal separation from Him.

      Acts 13:38-39
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: 39And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
      Titus3:5
He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
      Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
      Philippians 3:9
and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith.
      Romans1:17
For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish, just as it is written: “ The righteous will live by faith.”
      Romans 4:5
But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,
      Romans 4:6
And David speaks likewise of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
      Romans 5:1
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
      Romans 5:9
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him…
      Romans8:1
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus
      Romans 8:39
nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
      psalm103:10
He has not dealt with us according to our sins or repaid us according to our iniquities.
      psalm 103:12
As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
      2 corrin 5:19
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.
its not that true believers don't sin its that true believers don't have their sins counted against them ! they are Justified , righteous , saved from wrath at peace with God fully reconciled! sealed with the holy spirit until redemption day !

@@wolfwatchers @wolfwatchers Please, please, if you have time, make some time, really read this reply in its entirety, and really take some TIME to search, study, and consider (this one time).
"we are Justified and imputed Christ's righteousness so even if one sins hourly or MAKES A PRACTICE of it we are Justified!"
Your words just simply do not align with the Scriptures. You have to let the Scriptures do the ALL of teaching:
The Lord JESUS Himself said this:
      Matthew 7:21-23
"21 NOT EVERYONE that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 MANY will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? ("Christians")
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS).
Jesus words illustrates that there will be some people who will say Lord, Lord that WILL enter heaven. What did He say is the difference between those he accepted VS. the MANY of those he did not?...Well, what he did not say is that He will say "Depart from me" because those people did not trust, have faith, were not justified, or were not eternally secure. He SPECIFICALLY said that He is going to say "Depart from me" to those who PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS. The other Believers that said Lord, Lord and Jesus allowed in DID NOT PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.
What you are proposing (not the Scriptures) is that you can be "Justified" and "Practice Lawlessness (sin)" and still go to heaven. Simply not true.
Here is what Paul the servant of Christ has to say in the Scriptures in full agreement with JESUS (which you left out of your Scriptural proposal):
      Romans 6:1-2
      Romans 6:12-18
      Romans 12:1-2
1 Cor. 6:9-11 (Be not deceived)
      1 Cor. 15:34
1 John 1:9 (if it happens)
      Hebrews 10:26
      Hebrews 12:14
      Ephesians 4:20
      1 Timothy 5:20
      2 Timothy 2:19
      Galatians 5:19-21
Ephesians 4:30 (a warning about the "seal")
      1 Peter 4:1
      1 John 2:1
      etc.
      Here is the understanding:
OSAS people only partially focus on the Scriptures and uses "theology" to explain away the rest of the Scriptures.
Paul clearly gives the complete understanding of salvation in Romans 6:18 which makes ALL of the Scriptures make sense with out man's conjured up theologies:
"Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness."
There are 2 parts and one CAN NOT exist with out the other.
Part 1. "Being then made free from sin." JESUS did this part..this is where OSAS people hang their hat..eternal security, justified, can't lose, etc. (in ERROR)
Part 2. "Ye became servants of righteousness." this completes salvation out..."Became + action" as long as a person is physically alive.
      Conclusion#1:
You can not have one part with out the other. God designed it this way as it identifies who is real and who is not.
You can not be "Made FREE from sin" and be "Servants of sin", and you can not be "Servants of righteousness" with out being "Made free from sin".. Part 2 is the affirmation of Part 1..(SELAH)
Any time a person tries to do one with out the other, by default, they are a wicked unbeliever and not saved.
This is where JESUS Himself Alone will judge (as the Scripture teaches):
      Matthew 7:21-23
      Acts:10:42
      John 5:22
      James 5:9
      Romans 2:16
      2 Corinthians 5:10
      2 Timothy 4:8 (he's speaking for himself)
      2 Timothy 2:19
      Conclusion#2
This notion that when "part 1" is received "part 2" is AUTOMATIC...is FALSE...OSAS is teaches that notion.
      BUT the Bible teaches this:
      Romans 12:2
      Philippians 2:5
      1 Timothy 4:8
      1 John 1:9
      Ephesians 4:29
      Romans 6:12
      Romans 13:13
      etc.
You'll notice the words "Be" & "Let" utilized to communicate the COMMANDS of Christ (they are not suggestions).
Jesus commands (through Paul), to his purchased church, to willingly serve and yield to righteousness (as they have already agreed to), without FORCING them to do it (1st Cor. 6:19)(Also, study Hebrew marriage)(Eph. 5:22-32). But warns His church, which he loves, not to continuously serve sin and expect to be with Him in heaven (He already divorced Israel for doing this very thing Jeremiah 3:8))(Romans 15:4, 1 Cor. 10:6-11).
Remember, once a person accepts part one (BEING MADE FREE) they are no longer their own and are bought with a price. This is why it is important for a person to count up the costs before they CHOOSE to follow Christ (Luke 14:27-33). Once the choice is made, JESUS becomes Lord and expects WILLFUL adherence to His commands (Like Husband and wife).
      Conclusion#3
Salvation pre and post is a choice (continually) until God's people are fully brought into Salvation when they finally meet JESUS to reign with Him forever. This depicts the reality of how the Biblical marriage works (remember in a Biblical marriage there are provisions for departure from a marriage Matthew 19:9, 1 Cor. 7:15). It is always based on choice. (from the Beginning of the Bible Gen. 3:6, to the end Revelation 22:17)
Just like a Biblical marriage, to make it to "Until death do us part" it is a committed journey. Also, check out these Scriptures highlight this truth:
      Acts 20:24
      Philippians 3:8-14
      2 Timothy 4:7-8
      Hebrews 12:1
      1 Corinthians 9:24-27
      Galatians 5:7
      James 5:7-11
Finally, remember when Paul was writing to the churches it was done under the banner of this scripture: Galatians 3:28
So, all of the above, as it pertains to CHRIST, is in reference to the Church.
OSAS is just simply not Scripturally true and a relationship with Jesus does not Biblically work like that.
The real issue is that a lot of people teach "The Gospel" incorrectly which makes for so much confusion and error.

@smartchristians This guy is leading people to hell. Never means Never. It is clear cut. It doesnt matter if the guy that he is critiquing is wrong because if you listen to corey at the end of his video he teaches a different gospel then Matthew 7. Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:23 Get away from me all you who practice lawlessness. Corey tries to soften up Gods word by saying things and not sin. The word is sin. If you break Gods law then you are a sinner. If you practice lawlessness that means that you are a sinner. Corey tries to say that christians just sin less. Cory is trying to make sin ok. And it is not.
When Jesus says to get away from me all who practice lawlessness that means that even if you only committed 1 sin that is lawless. Even if you used to sin 100 times a day and slowed down to 1 sin a day then you are still practicing lawlessness. The only way to stop practicing lawlessness is to stop sinning. How do we know this is true. 1john3:6 tells us that sinners dont know God or understand HIm. So check this out. Corey uses a bible to correct people and to try and prove his point. What that means is that in order for cory to know the Bible, paul and other apostels had to know God and understand Him in order to write down what God said and taught. Since Paul and John were able to know God that means that they are not sinners.
Matthew7 is teaching the very same thing as 1john3:6, if you sin then you don't know God and if you don't know God then you will never go to heaven.
So it is clear that Paul and John were not sinners. If this guy cory tries to say that Paul or peter or john were sinners then he is calling God a liar.
Since God is not a liar that means that cory is a liar.
So, it doesnt matter if cory got it right about the word never, he still lead 181,000 people and more to hell by his false teachings.
Just by the simple fact that cory uses the bible means that he is wrong.
Try thinking about it this way. 1john3:6 tells us that sinners dont know God or understand HIm. That makes cory a liar and a false teacher because he is making videos claiming to know God when God is telling you that cory is lying.
So, if cory was honest with himself he would stop making videos and lying to people. He would spend his time trying to stop sinning.
Cory is a false teacher and anyone that gives this guy thumbs up, donations, praise or support of any kind is sinning also.

Another dumb statement, God does not have sheep going to hell, Jesus said his sheep hear his voice and don't follow stranger, Jesus said his sheep was given to him by the father and he will lose none of them, everyone who goes to hell goes there because of their sin and their rejection of Jesus.
You act as thought Jesus did not say what his sheep will do, when you talk about practicing lawlessness and committing sin is that not covered in the scripture. The scripture says a proud look is an abomination to God and it is God's version of what that is, how do you avoid that? Every person that ever live did with sin because sin is simply not doing things God's way and you do not know all of God's ways.
The only person the Bible describes as sinless is Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Peter 2:22). Every other major character in the Bible is flawed. At times, the Bible seems to go out of its way to point out the sins of significant people in the Bible. One would think that if sinlessness is possible, the Bible would give us an example of someone who achieved it.
Until we are glorified in God’s presence in heaven, though, we will still inhabit a sin-infected body. The struggle against our flesh is constant, even for the most mature Christian (Romans 7:15-24). In the Christian life, we should progressively achieve greater and greater victory over sin, but our battle against sin will not end this side of eternity.
If you think you have arrived at sinlessness, think again. Unless you have arrived in heaven at the feet of Jesus, you still have work to do.
“Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when He appears we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.” (1 John 3:2)

I think God knows what he is doing when he gave us an English translation of his word. Read the Bible simplistically, trust what it says is what is says. The Bible isnt some secret code that you need to dicipher by, knowing what a word is in aramaic, greek, hebrew, backwards, upwards, upsidedown and any other possible meaning that word or number could mine.
If God wanted it to read, I never knew you for english speaking people gor over 2000 years. It would read I never knew you. And well.......... what does the text say if I read it today as an english speaking simpleton that has no knowledge in ancient Jewish costoms, nor language. It says I never knew you.

God surely know what he is doing, the question would be if we know what he is doing. God did not give an English translation, the writers wrote in Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek. Have you read in English where the disciples asked Jesus why you spoke in parables, his answer was it is not for you to know, If I speak plainly they would repent. He encrypted it, the decipher is the holy spirit, flesh and blood does not reveal who the son of man is. The scripture says it is hidden from the wise and the prudent, I only put these statements here because of your arrogance. It is scripture.

Some things are set and there is no changing, God is God and there is no other is one of them, salvation is another, saved is a past tense word, how can you change the past? If Jesus said you have eternal, he meant it is eternal and we know what eternal means. If Jesus said all that the father gives him he will lose none, he meant he is not losing any.
If you come by salvation because of your intuition you can walk away. If you come to salvation because you believed, you can walk away. When you are saved by grace you can not walk away because you are not the reason you are saved.
People who are saved by Grace understand they would have no shot without God whereas those who are saved by their ability to follow instructions feel as though they made a good decision to follow Jesus.
Repenting and responding and even believing the gospel message is not a work if and only if God is the ONE who opened the ears to hear, opened the eyes to see and conditioned the heart, then it would be grace.

@Corey, from the standpoint of methodology, you go a few key facts wrong which undermines the credibility of your arguments. My point here is not in favor or against eternal security in Matthew 7:21-23 but about holes in the methodology you used .
This will be somewhat technical since you also made arguments that are usually discussed among academics.
#1 Hebrew vs Aramaic: You dismiss the Babylonian Talmud because it was written in Aramaic and not Hebrew. You seem to forget that Jesus spoke Aramaic and that the New Testament translated the words in Aramaic into Greek (as shown clearly in the gospels). As such, the fact that conversations are translated has little bearing when it comes to finding common expressions (the New Testament does it a lot when using the LXX, the Greek translation of the Old Testament, and still allowing us to identify the connection across languages. The language used is largely irrelevant since the exact same wording is not required and even the New Testament has word variances when translating Jesus words from the Aramaic. The context and usage is a better guide when establishing correspondence.
#2 Misdating the Babylonian Talmud: You stated that the quote from Mo’ed Qatan was 600 to 700 years after the time of Jesus. For starters, the Talmud which is composed of the much older Mishnah (2nd century) and the Gemara was already in its final form by around 500 AD. I don’t know how you added two centuries to it. (see Ancient Texts for New Testament Studies: A Guide to the Background Literature) It is also important to distinguish between the date of the editing and compilation of the work (500 AD) and the date of the traditions and material contained in the Talmud, some of which go back to just after 70 AD (the destruction of the Second Temple) and others much later. The two extremes to avoid is to date all the material to the 1st century or all of it to the 5th and 6th centuries. I recommend Traditions of the Rabbis from the Era of the New Testament (2 vols so far ) by David Instone-Brewer to understand how specific rabbinic traditions behind the Talmud can be dated. While I find the mention in Mo’ed Qatan intriguing, the fact that it is a rather isolated reference in the literature and the dating is not certain as with many portions of the Talmud. precludes it from being definitely presented as the background of Matt 7:23
#3 You are also wrong about how widely accepted the interpretation of “I never Knew you” as a formula for renunciation/excommunication. This is the position of (1) An Exegetical Summary of Matthew 1-16 by Abernathy. It is also the view of (2) Allison in the Internation Critical Commentary (ICC), (3) France in the NICNT and TNTC, (4) Stine and Newman in the UBS Handbook of Matthew; (5) Keener in his Matthew commentaries; (6) Osborne in the ZECNT; (7) Carson in the old EBC; (8) Strack and Billerbeck in the Commentary on the New Testament from the Talmud and Midrash. However, there is overall little appetite among scholars to use it as an argument for or against eternal security since in context, this is not what this passage is all about.

Oh Brother, I would laugh if some of what you say wasn't so bad. So incorrect and not well researched. Your eisegesis is SHOWING so badly that I don't even understand how you can tell yourself that you make sense sometimes. It's funny if you REALLY think about it. Who WANTS to not have a secure FOREVER salvation in this sinful body and mind? No one WANTS to make life harder than it has to be. Everyone wants to live as they please, gain all the goods and glory of this world and still have the promise of the GLORY. It makes absolutely ZERO sense for ANYONE to want to take the hard route, the route less traveled. NO ONE wants to be despised and criticized all their days. EVERYONE wants free, everlasting grace for just saying they believe in 'JESUS' but OSAS people, who make up the VAST VAST majority of 'Christianity', just can't read the bible well or interpret data properly but that's not even the main issue. The main issue is if you're so confident in yourself and your fellow believers then why do you and the OSAS army spend 80% of your time defending or attacking anyone who doesn't agree with you? Your channel's catalog of videos is laughable. It's like 70% OSAS defense or attacks but in reality it's probably like 85% because you then try to prognosticate simple texts that are usually taken to show that OSAS is broken. Let me help correct how poorly you've dealt with this Mishnah from the Talmud. First I want to say, I'm not agreeing with this young man's methods or the Mishnah or any part of the Israel/Jerusalem Talmud or Babylonian Talmud or the parts, the Gemara or Mishnah. With that said you CLEARLY don't understand the what the Talmud is but just use it as fodder in generalities to make your points. The book of Matthew has a date written range of 50 AD to 100 AD roughly but most likely post 75 AD because dealing with the crushing of Jerusalem probably wasn't in their view at this point. So let's just say it's written in 80 AD ROUGHLY. It was written in Greek when Matthew is clearly Hebrew in origins considering the name and the many partial Hebrew words that are directly transliterated as new words into Greek. Moed Katan 16a-22 -!בר קפרא, איני מכירך מעולם written by Yahuda Ben ha-Nasi who lived from 135 AD to 217 AD indeed wrote this in PURE HEBREW unlike the belief by many that in that day and prior they all spoke and communicated in Koine Greek and/or Aramaic which on a side note really shows that the Greek New Testament should be looked at from a Hebrew Bible lens. Which it's not because then it would destroy modern 'Christian' beliefs but I digress. So it was Hebrew because people of his house, which was in Galilee, were only allowed to speak in Hebrew. Biblical Hebrew. So it was probably written spoken or written down whenever he was old enough to be a father to someone who was old enough to study the Hebrew Bible so likely 165 AD to 185 AD which is nowhere near 500 years away from 80 AD. Here is another issue, language didn't change as rapidly as it does today. In the late 19th century, people still understood the KJV 1611 version very well and easily. Even though a revision was made in the late 1700s, it was only to make the text more complete and not to change the language. So for 300 years the religious language didn't change much and it still hasn't changed technically so 80 years is nothing. This verse in Hebrew
    בר קפרא, איני מכירך מעולם!
Is literally Bar Kappra, I never knew you. Not I never knew you at all but exactly I never knew you. I keep hearing you try to say it's 'I never had a relationship with you' but how can 'JESUS' say he never knew anyone who he never actually knew personally but we all know he knows all so in reality he does know them.. It's clearly a repudiation but it's NOWHERE NEAR the only verse that's a repudiation. There are verses all over the place that you clearly have to eisegesis to make, make sense and that's what 95% of mainstream 'Christians' do. One way or another whether Catholic, Orthodox, OSAS dispensationalist. It's like reading every opening chapter of the NT that separates GOD from the 'Lord Jesus Christ' but still say the Trinity makes sense. It's like Jesus saying he is the Son and he has been sent by the Father dozens of times and telling yourself that it means what you want it to mean and not what JESUS says it means. That's a whole other argument but you got the language of the Mishnah wrong, you got the origin of the Mishnah, you don't understand what the difference between the Mishnah and Talmud means. You don't understand what parts of it are Hebrew and what parts are Aramaic. You don't understand the dating. So your logic is kind of faulty because you quickly took what you want to think you know and applied it to an argument when in truth you really just made up whatever you wanted basically. Calling yourself a smart Christian channel must be metaphorical for "Smart Christian who tries to make money off of the name of 'JESUS' by preaching that lovely, popular, safe, and selective meaning of the bible" for your own echo chamber. The worst part is the OSAS crew is the most judgmental group of 'Christians' on RUclips. Preach OSAS then repudiate others who don't agree with you, make stances against LGBTQ topics, and other sin based topics when one time belief should mean 67% of humanity is saved. How you can't read Exodus and see how GOD destroyed some of the very people he saved from Egypt, even though they KNEW the truth of Him more than anyone. It even says they knew GOD but still chose their own paths. This isn't the only example. Ananias and Sapphira are CLEARLY said to be believers and were ALSO present at the acts gifting of the Holy Spirit. So how are they gifted the Holy Spirit because of their belief in JESUS then a chapter or two later are killed because they fell victim to the temptations of the flesh through the power of the devil. Try reading the gifting of the Holy Spirit in acts, then they say "What we ALL have we shall share and split." Hence why they were all selling their property. James even says if it's just belief, don't the fallen ones/demons KNOW of JESUS but still tremble at the one true GOD? Come on brother. If you aren't going to read the Word properly at least stop judging people who disagree with you.
