It is truly hard for me to believe that I was able to gain access into Libya. A country where tourists don't exist and the local authorities are understandably extremely paranoid. Hope you are ready for this series, it's going to be wild. 🇱🇾
Incredible, Nick. I am really excited and looking forward to watching the upcoming clips.
Incredible and informative. Your logged travels NEVER disappoint. Thank you for taking these risks to educate us where we otherwise have no eyes. You're better than old school national geographic IMO.
Well done Nick. Great video. It’s good to see things improving in Libya.
Amazing to show everyone Libya, never seen in any other vlogs!Keudos to you Nick and enjoy Libya!
What a fascinating video...kudos to you Nick!!!
Abubakar is clearly an intelligent guy, props to him.

No doubt. 🤣
So intelligent he wears mask on chin, for safety of course.
This is the real journalism, main media outlets are becoming obsolete now.......
Thanks for watching!
This is what journalism just reporting without bias. I realise mainstream media is full of misinformation and I get my news from alternative media outlets too.
Indeed.
Mainstream media now only try to tell you what you should think, and that's what their owners and sponsors want you to think.
Real journalism? Hard hitting questions to the cops-"Do you like your job? Do you feel safe?" Almost as bad as CNN asking Biden what flavor of ice cream is he eating.
I lived in Libya during gaddafi era. Very beautiful country and friendly people. America and NATO brought democracy to Libya and destroyed every thing
This video overlooks Gaddafi's crimes, the man was a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Anyone who actually bothered to do their research on him knows that

Wow, this is actually really interesting to me as a libyan to see what it's like for you! I was born in amercia but my whole family lives in Libya so we go to Libya every few years and it is truly beautiful, it's sad because of the bombings and what the US has done in an attempt to save Libya, but they ended up wrecking our country and didn't make an effort to help us after either. We still got back on our feet and are doing very good now, it's honestly crazy to see someone who isn't Libyan in Libya!
Same here!
I didn't think there were other people like me
Yess someone is finally paying attention to us! This country is truly very nice without all the war and stuff! I'm happy that someone is showing people that it's not as bad as people think
It's an eye opener!!
I get that feeling krystal
It’s bad
Once you talk about Oil, things could change rapidly!
What are Libyans thoughts on the Qaddafi situation? Do they believe the revolution was natural or manufactured? Were things better or worse under Mommar Qaddafi?
As a Libyan living in America myself, it warms my heart to see people trying so hard to see our beautiful country and taking the time to show others how life is really like as compared to what you constantly see in the media. The things that you see in the media do happen, but there is so much more to this country than just that. I really appreciate the time and care you took in deconstructing that image, and really connecting with the people, the culture, and the spectacular sights. Keep up the great work man!

Thanks for this Nick. I went to Libya several times in 2008 on business, before the fall of Gaddafi, and absolutely loved it. The people were so hospitable and welcoming and delighted to see foreign visitors. At that time tourists were still evident too. A much misunderstood country with such a rich history and huge potential, it breaks my heart to see what has happened to it in the last decade. You do such a great job in opening people's eyes to the real stories behind these places, and highlighting that, for the most part, we're all just human beings trying to live a peaceful life, raise our families and make a living. I remember going to Malta with family on vacation back in 2000 and not only was the food diabolical there, the Maltese came across unfriendly, cold and calculating and very adept at ripping people(tourists) off. But we got lucky when we discovered a little gem of a takeaway Restaurant, owned by a friendly and kind Libyan (a migrant restauranter) who served some amazing Mediterranean food, sometimes giving us discounted prices as we regularly ate there. He was also helpful in recommending places of interest to visit there - I guess perhaps, things may be different in Malta today but we never went back after that trip, though we often reminisce about the warm hearted Libyan, with very fond memories. After watching this, I hope to be able to visit this very 'misunderstood' country called Libya.

Love Libya. Used to live there 3 years up until the invasion by our countries. Never had any issues being a British man up until then. Free healthcare and was treated like a king. Good people there and Gaddafi was a good man to his people, we created a monster by wrongfully invading that country. Our western media told lies fed by our governments.
Gaddafi litterally gunned down protestors in 2011 and multiple times before, how is that a "good man"?
@@salokin3087 My government have invaded and killed millions of innocent women and children in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, India and all over the middle east for decades for an agenda , hell we even killed hundreds of men and women in our own army, and you think Gaddafi is a bad man. What an idiot.
Totally agree with you. When will it end?
@@horyzengaming3935 this is pure whataboutism, it isnt an argument that addresses the actions by Ghaddafi. Ghaddafi massacred protesters, he invaded Chad and Egypt, he was a bad guy. Whether your government did bad stuff does not negate his own actions, nor makes him a "good guy"
@@salokin3087 Oh so you cannot win a debate so you run off crying while shouting whataboutism? Lol you lost your debate when you tried to make out Gaddafi was a bad man. All leaders of countries kill innocent people, especially the west, America has killed millions in pointless wars like Vietnam, did anyone invade America for that? Gaddafi told the west if they wanted to buy his oil then they have to pay in Euros or gold not the Dollar, so America invaded weeks after that. Its very well documented and is proof that Libya was invaded because of oil, not because of Gaddafi killing people. You have no debate and are obviously not educated on the subject you wish to debate.
I lived in Libya, as a [English] child, in the pre-Gaddafi King Idris days, as my father was in the small RAF contingent supporting the vast US military presence there then. The US base, Wheelas, was amazing - they had every luxury they considered normal, including imported soil to make a golf course and such like. We had a high walled compound, next to the US Embassy, and my mother traded cheap cigarettes with the gardeners there for some of the fresh fruit and veg they grew ! Once a week, dozens of camels were herded past to the slaughter yard.
We explored loads of different places; it is beautiful, but I really only remember our times on the beaches. Stay safe, Nick.

Indigo you are truly one of the best journalist/documentarians/travellers/explorers there is, keep up this fantastic work and please stay safe!
Yes
Media is all about lies and propaganda, never take them serious
Why would the media ever show you how Libya is??
Gaddafi probably would've held onto Libya, just like Assad has in Syria, if it wasn't for the NATO airstrikes. Imagine the media, who work in favor of certain politicians, having to show you the complete ineptitude of "experts" at best, maliciousness at worst.
With all respect it’s wrong statement; Libya fall apart by civil war. The civil war is not the cause it’s the result of foreign intervention and interference. The same pattern all over in the region . What we see today is continuation of the same policy; divide et impera.
Dont forget, you can not live in this world without being influenced by others. Libya did bring it onto itself aswel (naturally as any manmade interaction). And Libya even if better under Gaddafi - was either a lesser or greater evil, if your actualy aware of factual history. Blaming Libyas downfall because of foreigners is like blaming the world for existing.
The say "never pick a lesser between two evil".
It started in Balkans, former Yugoslavia, then went on in the middle east, so called "Arab spring" en later on the same modus operandi in Syria. And we all know who is the brain master behind this "revolutions".

Libya is a terrorist nation they trafficking human for money 💰 how would you love them they hate black people
I spent my youth in Tripoli, 1963-1970. It's an enduring sadness for my friends and family that we've not been able to return to visit this wonderful country and it's friendly people.
I can't begin to describe the amazing experiences we had there. Maybe things will change enough in the future for a trip back "home". Inshalla.
Are you Italian?
Fantastic and fascinating video
Thumbs up for that. America cracked this country to shit. I once as a kid in the sixties went to school in Tripoli.
