Let us be honest. The time Gaddafi died; Libya went on the worst downward spiral. People should stop hating Gaddafi and realize that we made a mistake for leaving him to be tortured and die miserably. The African Union did not show any support at all which is a noticeably big shame!!!
Bosnia Gadafi❤
Why should an organization that he tried to undermine come to his support?
The United States was funding him
@@juliankraus1011 he created more wealth for all of Africa than any leader of the last several hundred years.
@@mainstmechanical7932 False. He created wealth for Libya, no doubt. But he mostly brought misery to the rest of Africa.
I love how most people including in the West know the truth and this man was doing great things for Libya and Africa and that's why the West destroyed him, his country and kept Africa down.
He quite literally supported almost all terrorist/separatist groups in the world
and they will repeat that exact process again if another African president/leader tries to put his/her country's two feet on the ground. It's so sad really
Do you think some/a number of African leader(s) were on board with those good things you say he was doing for Africa? You need to dig deeper.
@@carolinesedition5312 Yes they 100% was.... Why would they not be? And please don't tell me you are talking about the Western puppet leaders like the one who helped to overthrow him?
Is this satire?
Thank you so much for this documentary. I have always been fascinated by these women. I remember when i was younger Gaddafi came to my country Senegal for our independence day and everyone was mesmerized by the female guards so beautiful feminine and strong at the same time.
I suppose he made mistakes but globally he did a good job and wanted better for Lybia and Africa in general but as usual the west destroys everything unfortunately.
He was and will always be one the best presidents in the world. Africa was afraid of what would happen if they intervened. Now, China and Russia are stronger to protect Africa.
He also helped weak countries fight for their freedom from oppressive 1st world countries. Like how he helped the IRA at risk to his own life and out of his countries pocket receiving little to nothing in return..
come get your ppl , why are blacks fm senegal coming into America at our borders then if they hate the west 😂?
You supposed he made mistakes? Hey, don't blame the West for everything, one needs to take responsibility for one's own actions. Gaddafi took Western money and built his own tiny empire where he was God. His country was still poor as he brought in billions.
Thank you I’m Libyan and our women are sisters of men and historically the libyan Amazonian women invaded the world you can read about it and they were black and brown but in cartoons and movies they are white
Who else noticed the journalist saying the legal age to marry in Libya is 20!! In a muslim country, well that says a lot about the man Gaddafi.
Gaddafi only took one wife. He divorced his first wife (from an arranged marriage before he seized power) and married his second wife rather than take 2 wives. He didn't have any documented children out of wedlock. After the rebels overran his compounds, the only videos they could find were of him being a family man, playing with his grandchildren.
Exactly.
@lailahwcusansdbdb my point is child marriages is prevalent in Muslim countries. So for him to increase the legal age to 20 let's you know he cares about the women in his country.
@@lailahwcusansdbdb Islam allows the marriage of girls if they hit puberty. The prophet did it and the muslim scholars defend this position.

Im not from Libya but i must admit, i miss Gaddafi, he was such a tremendous leader
leave it to Obama and the US elite to decide who to crush. Unbelievable Barack Hussein Obama (joke) was the one to decide to destroy Africa's power. Ghaddafi was making a gold and silver currency to unite Africa. I live in the USA there will be war here soon enough sadly. The government is collapsing the west to collapse the world.

Thank you for this documentary.
Gaddafi ideas of equality were based on the fact that his country and the west have different culture and beliefs. it doesn't mean that it was wrong. In fact from this he was way ahead of the world in terms of putting women in equal opportunities as man. But here the narration is that women were tricked into being Gadaffi bodyguards and looking away from the fact that women bodyguards were the minority in the security
He was a woke Arab leader (in a good way) and also the first (and only) Arab leader to apologize for Arabs pioneering the African slave trade.
Lol. Seeing women as lesser humans is cultural? Okay

Man the derogatory and disrespectful comments towards these women really show the hate people have for women in general. Blaming them for his fall while conveniently ignoring the amount of foreign interference in the country. Hope these women are doing well.
A lot were murdered, (and tortured), when the regime fell.
Scapegoats?@@Highland_Moo
Dude, you know full well that role was not for them.
The end.
That they were women is irrelevant to anything. The relevant fact is that they held themselves up to be “bodyguards”, a task they clearly weren’t up to. Gaddafi presented a violent threat to the advanced world, yet you’re claiming his supposed “bodyguards” could be expected not to anticipate the danger of “foreign interference”. As failed bodyguards and failed human beings, it would seem unlikely that they are prospering.
Males who can't cut the mustard are often filled with misogyny. Instead of making themselves better, they think that tearing women down will elevate them. We all know that isn't true. Sadly, the world has many deeply insecure losers.
i love this man about his vision and philosophy
I enjoyed this and learned a fair amount too. Any recommendations to continue learning about Gaddafi?

The translation is terrible! Full of inaccuracies and omits entire sentences sometimes. Here are some examples:
23:07 Fathiya's father says men and women are equal "in defending their country" with the last part omitted in the translation. He also doesn't mention colonialism but says something about God and humans.
29:45 Sabria says her specialization is in computer science NOT high level training.
53:27 Fatima's husband says bodyguarding is not mandatory NOT not important.

Libya suffered and is bleeding from foreign western democracy.... See now... See
Not because of Western Democracy but from Western intervention and backing of terrorist groups to change the politics of a country... Which is essentially terrorism. "Violence in pursuit of political or religious objectives"....
But the US definition is "non state actor who uses violence for political or religious aims" which they even when against when they killed that Iranian general.... Because he was also a state actor. Hypocritical terrorists!

Well as a Lebanese , we really favour southern Italians like Sicilians , since they are Mediterranean people and trade routes to Italy from North Africa, Middle East, long time ago!
Not a big surprise, it was the birth place of Khadafi and where was his tribe. City was supposed to become Libya capital and received huge amounts of money. Unfortunately, Libyan officials never want to get transferred from Tripoli. The story of justice minister was famous. He said to the colonel he was in Sirte while he did stay in Tripoli. Next morning, dozers just flatten the justice offices close to the green place, a wonderful palace from the italian colony.
