It is not what us parents and grand parents want. It is what the kid is happy doing. I was training my grandson to be a All Star baseball player. I was one and I knew how to teach him. He became a All Star baseball player his second year of me helping him train. After the All Star game he game to me and said he wanted to play basketball. He was done with baseball. I said ok. So we started training in basketball. He became pretty good. But I only had limited knowgele of basketball. So I hired him a coach. He is now a outstanding basketball player. He had a owner of a G League come out to scout him. He said my grandson had a very special talent and he would take him on as a trainer coach and sports agent. My grandson is just 13. If I had made him play baseball he would have never had this chance.

This is different but I struggled bad learning to ride a bike and didn't learn until I was 11 yo. I felt horrible because I always had poor balance and coordination and kids my age at that time been riding bikes since 5 or 6 yo. I also struggled learning to read and tying my shoes. Almost gave up on all of it
