I'm sorry to be a bigass hater. But it's not that jeff has "little/no pop", that's just being polite. Plenty of skaters barely pop tricks and it's still clean and stylish. No... it's not the lack of pop, it's the gearing up, the squatting knees inwards, the pinching the air, the back posture like he's about to pop over a wall just to 2cm pop a dbl kickflip, it's both feet at right angles to each other crammed up at whichever end of the board he's popping from, and finally it's the delicate way he plucks the board from the air with his tiptoes like a mosquito. Butttt skating is multi dimensional, and he's clearly a different dimension to "steeze" and that's calm. I still enjoyed watching him skate, shred is shred. I just can't not comment when everyone is saying it's just no pop
In simple terms Jeff is not very athletic but is good at skateboarding so he looks abit odd, proof that you can do what you set your mind to even if it's not perfectly executed or aesthetically pleasing you can still win!!

Skateboarding is so unique. There are Shane O'Neill, Luan Oliveira, Mike Mo, Dylan Jaeb, and some other. But then, there's also someone like Jeff Dechesare. For Jamie, he's kinda in the middle. Some of his tricks are done so nicely close to Shane, Luan, Mike Mo level. But some tricks are just fine/okay. But not until the level it's done as equal as Jeff's.

I was at that first game and the only crazy trick done was Diego with a switch backside 180 late back foot flip. Maybe P-Rod with the late front foot flip. You are correct though that 95% of the tricks were just the basics.
