Damn, I remember flagging and constructing Nicole’s trail (and a bunch of others) on Burnaby Mt. in 92-93’ish, on our own initiative, just riding through the woods finding lines. Amazing to see what they’ve evolved into. One of the guys in the club had a newborn named Nicole....hence the name.
Hey yo, awesome video thanks for the upload! Personally though I'd much rather hear the sound from the bike and your interactions on the trail than the music which I find too loud. :)
Thanks for the feedback. This was one of the first videos I made, and the sound from the GoPro was less than ideal so decided music was better than bad audio. In newer trail videos I have a new mic to record waaaay better audio of the trail and bike 😀
@@TrailPOV Thanks, I haven't ridden Fromme recently, and even then it was a very short loop. I am never sure what "level" I should ride at since all trails seem rated very differently. BTW, love your rating system, just noticed it. Also love your in vid "directions" and trail features, great idea. Burnaby is well labelled but a lot in the fraser valley isn't. :)
@@clydesdalemountainbiking7393 Glad to hear that riders appreciate the work. If you're willing, would love if you could share this channel with others you know who also ride and may find useful
@@TrailPOVI assume you post on trailforks. This is what I do to catch some more exposure to my vids. And of course I will share your videos with friends as it comes up. :) Thanks
yep, Nicole's is well worth the and upgrade effort - try Gear Jammer and Lower Gear Jammer, very technical and Lower is a fast single track with endless Baby Heads and some skill if you want to rip her !
I just rode this trail yesterday for the 1st time. The top half was amazing, but the bottom is super eroded and pretty sketchy at parts. I watched your video before going and it looks much smoother a few years ago. I may try it again but I had a few close OTB moments.
sorry guys, i ripped Nicoles many times [ 74 yrs of age at that time ] and those are NOT drops but tiny hucks - but if you had fun call them as you see it :-) and then if you want 'drops' do dbl Ds at Whistler or the Shore

So cool to hear about the construction and naming of the trail!
Nice POV! Looks like a fairy beginner/novice friendly mountain.
It is! Merry Christmas

Love that trail
You and me both
Nicole's is one of those trails I wish was 3 or 4 k longer. Really enjoy it. Bummer about the family hanging out on the log.
You could just head up Fromme and ride seventh secret :)

Trail is very eroded now compared to your video which is super sad. I wish Burnaby city permitted more days for repairs by the community volunteers.
Ya trails got hammered this year with little to no trail days

Thanks for the vids, funny the quantity of mandelbaum in the comments.
Haha. 'Tis RUclips for you
not sure why its rated black diamond though looks really easy
I think it's just the steep part in the middle plus the long log ride that I avoided due to hikers on it
yeh, not really a BD but if you want to rip try Gear Jammer !
sigh..... it's no longer as good :(
Do tell...what did they change

Good on you for still ripping at 74!
