Thanks for this video 10 years later! Found a roll of anti slip carpet tape for pretty cheap. Cut 3 strips and adhered to the bottom of pedals. Now when I push on them they make my chair slide back instead lol.
Wow, genius! MY G920 just arrived in the mail today. It's my first wheel and all I really though about before it arrived was a good way to hold the wheel in place. Well, my solution for the wheel works great, but the pedals slip and slide all over my wood floors. I'm getting this tonight, thank you!
The only problem is you need to make a notch for the cord or you end up pushing the cord against the wall which could damage it. My legs are long enough that they reach the back of my desk which hits the wall but I need to somehow prevent the cord from pushing up against the wall.
Man your a life saver, thanks!! I recently bought a wheel stand, it has 4 round bottom legs to stand, but when drifting, it constantly slides a bit and I loose control, so I bought this mat, cut out 4 squares for each leg, covered all four of them , mounted back in and boom, problem solved, case closed😆💯💯
I used some of that 3/4" wide double sided tape that you use to mount things like a USB hub to the underside of your desk. I just placed a strip the width of the device along the underside of the front and along the underside of the back of the pedal base. I have over 20 hours played on American Truck Simulator and Forza 5 and the pedals haven't moved an inch on my hardwood floors.
If the pedal base doesn't have the hooks on the bottom or anything (or they don't work well enough) I usually just try to find something heavy to put behind it. If it's a shorter carpet the material in this video might still help some.
Thank you im going to give this a try: people with carpet, try it anyways it can only help with grip. I've been using mounting tape and it works but leaves a nasty mess thats hard to clean off the floor
Oh cool thanks for the video I didn't think of using that under my pedals. I still have some left over pieces from the kitchen cabinets we don't use. It works great on my slippery tiles
I haven't tried it, but I would guess not. A lot of pedals have retractable "hooks" on the bottom to grab onto carpet, not sure if the t3pa has those or not. Might be able to find something that does grip to carpet to put behind your pedals and act as a stop.
Do you know in generell if this also Stops Metall from sliding i want to get the CRP pedals from moza and i need a mat like this because they are actually only for a rig
@@weaszy_21 it would probably grip onto a metal base well enough, hard to say if the shape of the CRP pedal base would have an effect since there's not as much contact area.
A lot of pedals have little spikes that can stick out of the bottom to grab carpet, but if those don't work I usually try to just put something heavy behind it. There's a chance this kind of material here could work on shorter/denser carpet, but I haven't tried it.
Most annoying issue ever. I had my outlet right behind the wheel, thinking the pedals weight would keep it in place... nope, keeps slipping and accidentally SHUTTING OFF THE ENTIRE PC! I can’t wait to try this so I can play my game without constantly short circuiting my PC!
Anyone elsewith the G25 that has the issue with the front of the wheel lifting up while driving? I managed once to fasten the wheel on the table so it didn't lift up noticeable but now I have that same problem again :P
Make sure the spiked panel thing on the bottom of the pedals is down so it can grip into the rug. If it's still moving, you may have to put something behind it.
If you have a Logitech wheel like I do, there is a plastic piece on the bottom of the pedal box with rows of spikes that flips down. They're designed to hook into carpets and rugs to hold the pedals in place.

I think a 2x4 in front of the back legs of the table would also help to stop the pedals from moving further backwards

at least on the G29 there are spikes that you can take out on the bottom.

I've got the same issue. Either will try to save for a wheel stand or will ask a local carpenter to make a floorboard with screw slots.
You think i could use plywood and cut it out with a jiggsaw and add screws to while it down. my slides eveywhere while i am racing.
