Donkey Kong was released in 1981. It quickly became one of the most popular arcade games released at the time. It is one of the first platformers ever made. Enjoyed the video. I like the title and format of you talking about the game starting from your own perspective of playing it at the doctors. I wish it were just a littler tighter all around for the script.
My first 2D Mario games were the ports/remakes they did for the GBA of SMB2, SMB3, and Yoshis Island. I also had the Donkey Kong port. You mentioned Hamster doing great work with their Arcade Archives but I do have to give Nintendo some credit on making sure their own classics were brought forward back then too. I feel very lucky to have not “missed out” on the classics in that sense

@@wonderguardstalker Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, although the video was unscripted, I could’ve closed the gaps a bit more in some parts for sure. I grew up with those ports too. Also, the compliment I gave to Hamster wasn’t intended to discredit Nintendo, of course.
