Many thanks for the script showcase Kenny! 🥰 Very appreciated, and glad to see user feedbacks on my scripts in comments 😀 Note that I have even more advanced renamers scripts available as premium on my website, with tons of pattern and counter features, very appreciated by sample libraries makers 😎
That's a good script. But there is an even more advanced renamer, called ReaNamer, from amalgama & gianfini, that can do this and more, because it can use regular expressions. Works on tracks, items or regions. It is avaliable in Reapack.
I haven't needed a tutorial in awhile (because I had to take a break from recording) - but wow it's nice to come by and finally see the face that belongs to the voice after all this time! Fantastic video Ken! 😁👌
Holy crap, Kenny, i actually beat you to the punch on a video (october 2021 for mine on this script)! Granted you did more in yours than mine, but it still feels nice to have shown something first ;) I like the way you did this. For some reason, i never thought to run this more than once across the same set of files, but typically, its just been a subset of characters i've needed to remove from the beginning. Definitely appreciate the deep dive on the capabilities of this script Excellent video as always, my friend.
Thanks Kenny .... you are an "avalanche of help" 😉 ... and 1000 thanks also to X-Raym, whom I thanked a couple of hours ago on the forum for his brilliant script in Explorer Media. 🎼👍🏽😊
@@XRaym Hello ... The script gives the possibility to synchronize the audio files of the M-Ex with the tracks of the project. Listening to them together. You can find the request for help (solved) in the section. of the forum. Thanks again 😉👍🏽
@@XRaym Ok ... in fact I mentioned it. And I find it very useful. The only drawback, and that in the name of the script it would be more appropriate "pre-listening" instead of "preview". But this is my problem with the search keywords. Hey! sounds very useful! Humm. Can I point out just one thing though? I wasn't 100% sure but the "back slash" symbol does point the other way. What you showed on screen was a forward slash. I was watching a parkour video the other day and the narrator was calling a front flip a "backflip" what's with that ? I'm not a native english speaker. Is that a language thing?
hi Kenny . thanks for this video .PLEASE if there a way to export the stems with track name we keep in tracks? If there a way and there is a video can i have a link ?thank you man really appreciate your videos .
Cooooool. I love little utility scripts like this. I'm a bit of a file naming fanatic so this one was really appreciated. I wonder if there isn't a RegEx renaming script for REAPER...
Why i ask? Must I install and run a script to RENAME A CLIP/ITEM? For nearly every other DAW that exists, you simply hover over the "item"'s name, a cursor becomes visible, you double-click that and walla, the name is editable. I'm thinking that this price is covering the hours we will spend customizing it to act properly. Sorry to complain, I really am. Your videos are thorough and well done. I'm liking Reaper, but migrating from another DAW has been many hours of a steep learning curve.
i feel like downloading a script, finding it in the program, executing it, figuring out which of the three versions of it you want to run, and running it three times takes as long or longer than just renaming stuff. are we working on 400 track projects folks? not to mention having to learn this script and figuring out how to use it in the first place. how hard could this possibly be?
is it somehow possible to do this to items? ie have multiple items in a "drums" track and have all items called "drums 1, 2" etc.? i know this can be done when exporting, but seeing this, wondering if this can be done to items as well
that's not what i wanted. im looking for a way to quickly rename my tracks. like highlight them, enter the track name once and have them all named the same with a number behind.
Thank's for your tutorial, I have question: is possible (maybe using some scripts I don't know) open a track folder and show only this track and all the tracks included in it? I would like to hide the rest of the tracks when I open a folder track and show all when I'm gonna close it. This is just to keep organized better my project.
Whichever combination of values I enter, the script keeps adding a 0 (zero) at the beginning. Any idea why? It makes the script a bit pointless for me.
@@RobertGrayMusic oh man, I did!! I found the solution. You have to edit the script and change this defaultvals_csv = "0,0,0,0,0,/no" to this defaultvals_csv = "0,0,0,0,/no,/no"

Big props to XRayM.

Very useful. Added it to my track context menu.
great for the workflow. thank you
Hell yeah! Thanks Lord Kenny!!
Great vid, as always, but, is no-one mentioning 'the ice is gonna break'... thing?...

Thanks Kenny and XRaym so much for useful scripts 🌷

Thanks for showing us that script. By the way that was a great Christopher Walken at the end! but it needs more cowbell :)

Hi Kenny .... I've recently updated my Rea Pack, and discovered that this set of scripts are already installed. Is that correct?
Yes, these are the one in reapack. It is a better way to install cause you will have updates etc 👍

That's genius...
I expected this video to be less than a minute. So, I'm guessing, the renaming is not that "quickly".
It is longer to present than to run. To run, it literraly just a click speed 😅
Hi, thanks for the instructions, but in mine when you did the item change, don't change the media source name...and it's just what i need it rsrsrs
Slow down Kenny..can't keep up with all this great content

Much easier way to change ITEM names. Use Script: Mordi_Set selected items active takes name to track name.lua

Only 12 guitar tracks.... pfft, noob! :)
Is this a joke
