I am always intensely annoyed by the garbage specs I have to filter. For example, hd output with a much lower resolution sensor or 1200 times magnification, most of which is digital. What I would really like, as you mentioned, is real optical zoom and real sensor specs. Also important is how close you have to be to the sample you’re looking at. It would even help if they gave real pictures taken by the microscope.
They do allow users to post pictures and videos, these are really helpful and reviews like yours are very valuable. My cellphone on an optical microscope is almost unbeatable, I printed a mounting to fit over the eyepiece of an optical microscope but the viewing is poor when you have to solder a board, for that I use a magnifier that I wear on my head and flip up and down all the time. Still have to get really close.
    Thanks for the realistic review.

Thanks for useful infos. Optical microscope+cellphone great idea :-)

@@MyTechFun So the actual zoom is 115x and not 1200x?

Thank you. I have just obtained my Christmas 2022 present. The user documentation was poor, but viewing your video allowed me to illuminate, record and playback. I am using it to facilitate my new hobby of watch repair. Already overcame a problem of my own making.

i have this exact item, mine did not come with battery , but i fitted one of my own, and works great , what you have to understand is the
camera will focus from a distance or very close up, the closer you get to the object the higher the magnifiction ..

On my website you can download the STL for tilting knob (there is new version, bottom of the page with sample image) www.mytechfun.com/video/150

I suggest you to print the knob I designed, you can download from my website, no need for open end wrench (V2 version)

Maybe you could make a lever style knob that slides on from outside for tightening. That way you get a better sized device to use with your fingers, and since it’s removable you just take it off to put the bolt in.

I already designed a better one, which has to be used with M5 bolt (you can add self locking not too). Sample image and STL here: www.mytechfun.com/video/150 (bottom of the page)

How much lag do you experience between moving an object vs. seeing it move on the LCD?
In other words - if you were filling out a quiz-sheet with a pencil under this microscope - say fill-in 20 circles - how much slower would you be at filling these out, compared with direct vision?

    • @MyTechFun
      @MyTechFun  3 года назад

I dont experience the lag, it's real time, but it can be seen in video too..

The reason it overwrites the footage is that the OS is dashcam software :)

I had one of these and it worked once or twice before it was no longer working. It was OK until it stopped working, but I wouldn't buy another one, because I find them unreliable.

i bought it g1200 , and used it for a month , and i regret it , the image quality is very bad , it never gives good balance between light and dark areas , the light is refleced directly to the camera when working with cicuit boards or electronics repairs , cannot see the parts clearly and the colors is not clear too , cannot tell if there is some thing dicolored or burned ,
and after a month or so of usage , it died , it doesnt turn on , i opened it and tested the board , i found the circuit board to be shorting on the power area next to the charger port , and its poor design seems to have failed in short time because it generates lots of heat while it doesnt have and proper cooling ,
its one of the worst microscopes in the market and no matter what price you pay for it , doesnt worth it
never buy this model , you will end up throwing it in trash
