@@Darrenrulestheworld I've provided percentages which you can dispute; instead you've used abusive labels. People such as yourself are part of the problem in making people too afraid to address the obvious elephant in the room here. For example: it might be that Conservative party policy is to encourage BAME Conservative MPs to put themselves forward for positions they're not qualified for to appeal to the 12% British BAME vote. It could also be down to Conservative officials pretending that race and ethnicity doesn't matter in people's lives, that ethnic privilege doesn't exist, when it does through out the world etc. So BAME MPs are being used to show this, even if OTT. I agree that the Conservative party in its current form is a shambles, and the 25% BAME representation within the cabinet relative to their 5% representation within the whole Conservative party reflects this IMO; but I didn't say it's only down to some BAME people when there could be all sorts of other reasons behind it.

In fairness it wasn't the members who are to blame. Let's just call it external forces.
Notice the way he said THEY
As a Tory supporter for my entire life, i have to agree. These are a complete disgrace and I won't vote Tory until we see a real Conservative Party again, with folks who are competent and who have Conservative values.
what like maintaining vast incomes for redundant industries and blaming the poor and inept for holding the capable back hahahah
Or do you mean debating nonsense on repeat. Do you really want a lot of peddling going nowhere that’s fair I suppose lol
@Nick Howden - you can't say this now - where were you in 2020 when Boris kicked out all the moderate Conservatives? All you are left with is people who are one step away from Farage's Reform Party.
You lot will foist Braverman on us next as PM.
Reform Uk
Pull yourself together,,, everyone is going full Mavis Riley because the media want you to
@@pinkpotato1 shouldn't you be out on the cliffs of Dover, protecting us from the EU?
Boris, Moggs, Truss.... birds of a feather!
At last a honest mp talks the truth iam amazed 👏
He is not honest, he is concerned about his job.
@@thankyouforyourcompliance7386 he's retiring anyway so clearly not.
He'll be dead by dawn.
still does the thumb point 🤣
"The damage they had done to our party is extraordinary."
Still only concerned about party self-presevation. I am so happy the Tories are collapsing.
Well said Charles Walker who understands who a government should be serving ‘the people’ and not ticking the ‘favourable box’ as he states. Get him in as PM, he showed true compassion, empathy, commitment and looked truly emotional about it all.
0:49 👏 "I've had enough of talentless people putting their tick in the right box, not because it's in the national interest, but because it's in their own personal interest to achieve ministerial position.": I thought exactly this when Truss's cabinet suddenly ended up 25% BAME from their 5% representation of Conservative MPs.
Yes, if only they gave Chris Grayling a bigger role! The white man would have saved us all
The mental gymnastics you're playing to blame BAME people for this disgusting shambles of a government is quite something. Racist trash
Yes, we need more Great White dopes like Truss and Boris. LOL
"The damage they have done to our party is extraordinary. .." what about the country?? Ironic he says they ticked the right box for their own personal interests. That's always been the Tory way!
For awhile I thought the protest against truss was coming from labour. Turns out the rot was internal.
Watching this two weeks before the election.
The writing was on the wall and this man wrote it.
This is why they lost! A look back in July 2024!
"I'm livid."
"You look furious."
I would have loved for him to say, "Yes, that's what livid means, you lemon."
A majority of 96 for fracking shocking
Turn your heating off this winter. Dont use fracked gas.
@@lesigh1749 Fracked gas won't be supplying the UK this winter, despite what the Tories tried to insinuate when promoting the policy on behalf of their party donors and lobbyists.
Nice to see an MP saying what we are thinking! Well done Charles Walker.
Well done. You hit the nail on the head.
See why can't we have MP's like him in positions of power? It's evident he takes his duty to the country seriously, he is a long standing MP and he is saying what we are all thinking.
I'm not into politics yet I felt deeply moved listening to this man.
I wouldn't feel too sorry for him, he doesn't give a flying f%*k about you or yours
I _am_ into politics and didn't feel moved at all. He's feeling "livid" because his party is about to be wiped out.
He shouldn't hold back, just say what you mean. Spit it out man!
The damage they have done to our party is extraordinary!!
Well said .
"What we need is an utter unknown yet someone over whom we have complete power. A man with no mind, with no ideas of his own. One might almost say a man with no brain"

I’m was actually surprised when I found out ex-MPs struggle to find work after leaving politics. Rory Stuart and Alistair Campbell even spoke out one ex-no who ended up taking a job stacking shelves in a supermarket. 😳
That's so funny British people don't look furious like the rest of us. All the Brits seem way too calm right now
its what they been putting in the water - turned most of us into zombies and the rest into wild animals
We've all passed into the silent fury stage!
There's no fury like quiet. Calm like a bomb.
"Must I at length the sword of justice draw?
O cursed effects of Natural Law.
How ill my fear they by my mercy scan,
Beware the fury of a patient man." (John Dryden, 1631-1700)
Just wait! The pen is mightier than the sword…
This man is a caring, sensible and believable individual. This man is a REAL MP......Despite party or leanings, this is the sort of person that should be controlling my country. I believe he is standing down, if so it will be a loss to the country! 🇬🇧
My sentiments to this MP - I too am furious at how the Tories have disrespected both the party & public of this country! We are becoming a third world country & our citizens are undeserving of such a poor government ☹️😡☹️
UK is a fourth world country. “Fourth World Countries” is used to describe parts of countries in the Third World that are most stricken by poverty (UK..tick!). Most of these regions do not have political ties (UK..tick). The people of these nations are hunter-gatherers, live in nomadic communities, or are part of tribes (UK tick)
May I remind you that it was only with Labour support many of the now proven pointless and inflation causing pandemic response measures were voted through..
So these backbenchers watched for years the damage done to their country and its citizens and now they get concerns because it is their own future and income that is in danger. And he is talking about constituants..
He lost his seat yesterday. Along with many Conservatives. He could clearly see the damage that was done by the Truss debacle.
He speaks for hundred of voters if not thousands and we have noticed the same.
Polls say around 80% of Brits don't want a Tory government any more. The longer Truss clings on to power, the more damage she does to the country, the more likely we'll see the end of the conservative party.
It's time for a general election to save the country from this mess of a government.
🤦🏻♂🤦🏻♂🤦🏻♂ er... millions.
He isn't.
Well said. I feel Mr Walker (and the rest of us) are about to see the end result of all this on the 4th July
Brutal, but truthful.
Look, Charles Walker should have been saying this back when Boris Johnson and Theresa May were there. They set up this catastrophe and they get the gold watch and a nice vacation. Truss asked for the job. I get it. But this is years in the making.
His anger seems directed at the harm done to his party, not his country. A true Tory.
