@@BigGizmo80 buying for investment is inherently speculation…it’s just a matter of how long you wanna stay in the game. The market is down right now and seems to be going down further. There’s some good deals to be had out there. If you’re buying for investment, buy older books and in as high a grade as you can afford. They drop much less in value when the market is down and explode when the market is up. A 9.8 in a book prior to say, 1980 is a special book oftentimes even when it’s just run-filler.
@swpdisciple Thanks for the tip. I hadn't really been collecting comics as an investment--mostly just for entertainment, even in my old age! I need to take a look at my collection. My 90s books are still in good shape, my 80s books...probably not so much.
