The Jenova music, enemy death sound effect for when an enemy died, and limit break sound effect for using a special on the double hydra game was fun lol
As a former hydra main (finally gave in and ditched it for nautilus 79 when that was released, but I used to have some weird kind of pride about playing a weapon that has such extreme weaknesses and has been treated so harshly by the meta) seeing such a good player as you being beaten by a team with two hydras on it feels somehow really satisfying
I will say hydra is a pretty deadly weapon. Long range pressure with solid dps at safe range. A really long burst window providing plenty of room for error compared to eliter. Maps like sturgeon provide many high ground spots for hydra to excel. Has booyah bomb, which can displace the other team, and hold the objective for three seconds. Can really shred stuff and has among the quickest time to blow up the rainmaker bubble, which only gets better with object shredder.
I feel like reef has so much potential to be a terrifying main weapon, but it's just so difficult to hit a direct that it just turns into a paint spam weapon unless you're a god at directs.
I also noticed this in the lobbies they put you in unfair team positions it was impossible for my team to push with 3 fromtiners and one back liner that’s weak and the other team has a strong back liner of teammates
Whenever I play Hydra in X rank (my main, so all the time), at least 60% of the time it's hydra+charger on both teams. I get hydra + hydra on my team frequently. I just play brella then
