But given you went cross rotation you have to consider the probability of it appearing 2 rotations in a row (the exact same map and mode on any anarchy/X rotation)… this brings the total chances to 1 in 1,310,720 or 0.00008%. Given the proper maths, I do believe this is probably a world record

During the Salty vs Sweet vs Sour Splatfest, I hopped on a rotation with Brinewater and Flounder because I wanted to play on Flounder at night. Every match I got for around an hour and a half was on Brinewater.

Technically it's 50:50 every time, but yeah this is crazy. Normally matchmaking will only do this to me if i want to play a specific map, and then it'll proceed to only give me the other one.

I've been convinced that the map selection isn't random on a roll but on a timer, and if you're game goes full time your increasingly more likely to get the same map you were on because the timer is just naturally flipped into that map.
The chances tell me the devs wanted to shadow test weights and biases for what map the player might want to play, like a “I want to play on this map!” Favoring setting for rotations

I had the same experience back in splatoon 2. The rotation was sturgeon shipyard and port mackeral and I constantly kept getting sturgeon shipyard for two hours
weird, i remember during the ice cream fest i got barnacle & dime 25 times in a row... and there were 3 teams in it for some reason, with a rocket in the middle and it was most often mirror matches...
Ok but this is actually so much rarer than 1/32,000 cuz barnacle and dime clams being in rotarion AGAIN. out of the 8 stages possible in a given rotation out of 20. And 3 of the 4 ranked modes available at once and the odds that barnacle isnt in turf war is absurdly high
