This is a superb game and best computerized EF simulation. Worthy successor to Drag Nacht Osten the grand daddy of all East Front Games. Thanks Gary and Dojo for bringing this to us. Also WITP the absolute best strategic simulation of the Pacific War even though the operational AI is weak after June 42 and goes a bit kamikaze. But still very playable for reliving the Pacific war. Keep it up Dojo and best wish on baby.
Totally agree with you. He got lucky that the soviet AI script 'thought' the mud in ukraine is a no go for offensive, when in reallity the units were in the romenian weather area with no rain at all....
Pity there wasn't another mud turn, but you've had a good run of inactivity from the AI, also the attack outcomes could have been much worse too. Fingers crossed for the next few turns
You've run out of "useless" Swamp. Keeping those hexes that represent East Prussia yours, are as important as keeping Konigsberg. An Axis victory check takes place at the end of the 1944 December 31st turn. That victory condition rests on the Axis player keeping the Soviets & the Allies out of Germany before the end of Dec '44. (there's no event covering the Allied capture of Aachen and other bits of Germany during the Fall of '44 or before)
no Past time stuffing the Reserve and starving the Front - He should be happy to have his Infantry Divs at 8k -12k men and 80-100 guns. Lumps of men in forts levels mean jack-all against the 1k- 1.9k guns the Soviets are bringing, then add the masses of armor he's about to deal with.
@@realSarge yes ..And all those losses the AI just inflicted,on mostly re-built units, will not be replaced, what with the Reserve being still stuffed with Int units. The Happy Times,as far as the German manpower boost, is rapidly coming to an end- Start of turn 107 (He's three turns left). Summer of '43 Having the Soviet AI grind down newly rebuilt divisions, while trying to re-build all the Infantry in the Reserve is not really viable. Mech and Art should be taking priority .
Oh and what the ...heck have you done with the 51st PzAbt? Panther Ds,horrible tanks to have out an about just to have out an about- Best to trade them in for Model As.

The ai is very much retard, the way it uses the armor…. The gap also between units.
Splendore,style, experience - remarkable
Fantastic My friend
those 200k men that the soviets brought out make me think the end is nigh

Small pockets will do you far better than trying to re-create your Grand Kessel of '42.
And so it begins. TBH the biggest surprise was those two Hungarian light divisions holding.
Unbelievable Work
I am playing the Soviets right now and it has rained 4 drops from June 1 - Dec 1st craziest thing

It is impossible to hold until late 44. The Russians may be in Berlin this winter.
112th ID is at 51 TOE in Reserve Box, put that one on refit

Triple stack Hungarian divs and treat as = to 1 German div.....it works for me.
Superlike
You're the bomb
It might be time to retreat to riga

OMG
Superhot
The war has been lost since the moment you tried to take Moscow. The south did not help either.
