For the smoking Destroyer ( where the SUB hit you avp), it means it has high System damage ( 20 or more) that comes by the normal duty. They smoke than to symbolize that. For the * ineffective* bombardings, its at one side groundbomb exp and Numbers and weight of Bombs but its mostly Terrain and fort Level. Rough Terrain means very Low bomb casaulties.

you seem to be under the impression that the asw level indicates how good a ship is at ASW, it does not, it is just the number of ASW mounts on a ship, meaning that a japanese sub chaser has a ASW level of 16 but that does not make it better at ASW than a American destroyer

So you are saying that that more mounts wouldn't make it better at ASW? Why not just have 1 mount then? British destroyers (and Japanese sub hunters) were much better at ASW earlier in the war than the Americans. The ASW number is a rough metric, but gives you some idea of capabilities

@@strategygamingdojo5278 the sonar and radar give ability to detect, also the commander, the nr of asw mounts helps only if u can manage to locate the ship
