{Beast} Arriva London Enviro 400 w/ ZF's TopoDyn System in Power Mode gets Pelted through SE London

- Now HERE today with us we have one of London's newest & best performing E40Ds in Enviro 400 Body being the few 300-Series Ts that are operated out of Arriva's Dartford (DT) Garage. With the other 3 videos on my channel in the "Powerful TopoDyn" series, we already know ZF have a "Power Mode" setting in their TopoDyn System allowing increased upshift limits as high as 2200rpm with full throttle... and that's what you will see in this video. In other words it pretty much is kickdown, shifting similarly to an E400 Trident! This was on Route 229 which at the time had a diversion via Bronze Age Way (A2016) where this driver on his last two trips on the day, let loose and reached a top speed of 60mph twice!! Not only that, this bus was sped through Bexleyheath, Abbey Wood and other places with occasional speeds of 40 & 50mph!
Midway through the video the turbo also picked up a squeal as well as the cooling fan coming on a couple times throughout! Those who are a fan of ADL's Euro 6 ZFs in this setting... you will love this!

@@ThomasGilbeyIt’s pretty much kickdown on a power mode €6 E400, they rev pretty much exactly the same as a Trident. You can get them to kickdown as well by slamming your foot.

The power mode sounds so good, especially the high revs in the early gears!!
In conclusion I've only been on one ride like this, the Liverpool route 47 to Crossens from City Center, where high speeds are achieved without restriction, I would recommend it!

I keep forgetting these buses are nearly 8 years old this year. I remember when these where new and the 229 had just gone to Arriva London in 2015 and I remember the fresh new smell on these. Time has gone so quick.

Great video. These buses are quite fast and have one of the nicest ZF gearboxes I've heard especially for an ZF Ecolife gearbox. Obviously nothing beats the classic ZF Ecomat gearboxes but this one here sounds nice for an ZF Ecolife gearbox.

Sounds alot better, better Acceleration, and better drivers as a whole than the ones in aylesbury I tell you that much. Also doesn't sound fked like the ones in Thornton the tbf they are heavily restricted due to the low speeds and traffic
