{Raw Sounding} Go-Ahead Ldn Optare Olympus Trident ZF ft. Kickdown, Pumping & Top Speed on Rail Rep

- Adding onto the recent fashion of Dennis Tridents being pushed we have an Optare Olympus... the more rarer kind on the successful Trident chassis! And it is infact the second "DOE" from Go-Ahead London to feature on the channel since 2022! With just 16 out of 54 of these left with the company it was only right we made the most of what we had! Here on rail replacement, this mean machine was getting sent round the winding A-roads... pumping of the throttle allowing for the engine to rev a lot higher which was very nice to the ear as raw as this bus sounded! (Be prepared for a few redlines 😉). Alongside the fashion of driving the lovely sounding cooling fan can be heard for more than an adequate time throughout the video, thanks to the amount of gradients and just non-stop thrashing. And of course some Top Speed action where the bus would sail at 59mph and no faster. I'm more than glad that on this occasion a healthy motor was picked, knowing the batch of SOEs/DOEs... and it's worthwhile you staying for the entire video! 😉
Enjoy!

The flyby at the beginning. Even the Woman was like "Rah"😂
Got her deeping life 🤣
The flyby tho💀💀💀
👀
I actually thought I actually set the video to faster speeds like 2x or something but no, this is as it was naturally filmed! 😮
Had to replay about 3 times lol
We are back with another BANGER from our guy frozzles 🔥🔥🔥🔥. And OMG, that flyby went CRAZY AF + the TP 😮💨😮💨😮💨!!!! One of these DOEs or even this one needs to be preserved in the future because they are too good with so much potential to go for scrap. What's your favourite batch of euro 4 ZF E400 tridents that u have been on so far? But as always, nice video my g 💪🏾💪🏾👍🏾👍🏾 👊🏾👊🏾
Thanks man, yeah someone will defo preserve one of them! My favourite batch are the SN58 that First Essex have in Basildon, they’re 6-Speed and you can easily get downshifts with them! 🤩
@@Frozzles They aren't planning to phase them out anytime soon are they? I'm gonna be near Basildon in September (if all goes to plan) and I do want to spot them at least once
@@PoloPulse Nah I've not heard about them leaving so you should be alright
Three words to describe the flyby:
I. AM SPEED.
Yh I'd start praying because of how fast that fly by was bloody hell 💀💀
I have to admit. I love fast driving. However, that driving is reckless.
Hands together 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Lord have mercy that flyby 💀This was a cold run tho icl, keep it up bro 👊🏾
Thank you 🔥
Love a driver who goes in F1 mode to the point where the fans turn on, beast of a bus as well🚀. Flyby caught me off guard yk I blinked for one second and my man was already at the traffic lights🤣🤣, got me shouting bloodclaat and all sorts man. What a video & driver man keep it up🙌🏾❤️.
On some "now you see me, now you don't" type business 🤣
Thank you bro 💙
@@Frozzles driver was on it man, proper Mazza. No worries bro🤘🏾
I’m trying so hard not to cry at DOE Trident’s kickdowns. Listening to it was very joyful. I’m grateful some DOEs are still in serviced on 151 while the rest are in different operators outside London. Magnificent beauty!
I'm glad it impacts you that much, if you need to let a tear out let it happen bro 🤣
And yeah for now there's still chance to ride some before they leave
🤩🤩this thing (and the driver) is mental🔥🔥 Amazing content as usual sir🙌
Preciate it bro 😄
Yess another banger ik im gonna love dis one
lets gooo!! DOEs finally man, great flyby too!! keep this up my bro! 👊
Yessirrr 💯
Absolutely love this!
Add it to your Watch Later playlist 💪🏾
MUSIC TO MY EARS 🎶 🥵😳
Bro that’s a whole machine 💀💀💀
A competent one, at that 💪🏾
What a flying machine!
This is insane!💪🏾
🔥🔥
Rahhhhhh that is one fast flyby at the start lol, nice one mate the olympus sounds really healthy
Thanks mate! Yeah this ones properrr
The man the myth the legend 💪💪💪💪
Awh 🤩
Very Nice kickdown and smoothly fast
Definitely a healthy one 🤩
@@Frozzles yeah definitely agree on you :)
Best DOE footage on the internet goes to...
👑🥹
Yeah you’re really the one ☝🏾
🤩
that flyby tho 😭🙏
Currently bowing my head in disbelief 😅
Flyby at speed was clean
🧼
I hope one day these buses go into Preservation ❤️
I’m sure someone will 💯
There are some outside london
Jesus Christ the flyby was crazy, even the women turned her head 😂.
Heads turnin' 😌
@@FrozzlesEspecially the amount of room in that engine bay for more efficient cooling that bus can’t complain about overheating. 😂
Banger! BEast and love ur videos man! I reccomend getting 19704 On MK1 or X5 if you want to!
Thanks! I’ve tried them remapped voiths already, I don’t mind them!
Brazyyyy
naaa ive been challenged 😭 this is how i drive them🤣 nice vid tho styll
Cmonn bro, set pace 💨 Thanks 💙
Id be scared for my life riding this🤣🤣
C'mon 🔥
Interesting, always found the Optare tridents to sound much raw in general and i cant explain why. Maybe just the way it is.
Yeah I think the differences lie between the fact it's a not the same bodywork as the Enviro 400, and it might just be different soundproofing/heat protection equipment under the rear seats.
@Frozzles Ah, that makes sense actually. I've driven quite a few Enviro400 bodied examples and they do sound quite "polite" in comparison.
Sutton looked after the very well indeed!
@@FrozzlesIt really is down to acoustics and even an ADL E300 and a Pulsar sound completely different.
Jesus Is Lord 🙆♂️. That flyby 💀
😅😅
Im almost certain this is DOE48. Its the one used in commercial rail fleet a lot and does rail commonly. It was out when i did my last Lewisham shift.
Oh I see 👀
this isnt DOE48
@Frozzles either way it goes well. Considering these are still very restricted unlike the ones GNE have plugged in and opened right up.
@@samstratford8878I think it's DOE44
@@ExploringTheSWIt is I think. On the day, RR Was on, DOE 48 Only did the 80 to Hackbridge around 10 at night. So It couldn't really be anything else.
performs like 41 👀 certi vid styll
Preciate that 💙
the bus was too fast..
BUT YOU CAN NEVER GO TOO FAST RAAHHHHHHHHH
that cooling fan is leng
Facts
imagine if the bus was driven by a roadman ☠
Do you know all the fast drivers in every company?
👀
What’s the limiter of these ones
What do you think
